I think I'm pretty blessed to be in a school with fast WiFi. Sometimes.
Okay, so remember in 22 Jump Street when Channing says that there's WhyPhy literally everywhere in school and you just need to know some sort of password? Well, technically speaking, La Salle has WiFi on the whole campus. Like, if you check your WiFi settings, no matter where you are, it's almost certain that La Salle's WiFi is listed. Whether or not it works is a completely different matter entirely. All of La Salle's connections are passed through something called a proxy, which basically lets the school filter everything you do on the network. Whether or not you actually need to input the proxy is dependent on the WiFi's mood.
Up until now, I still can't make heads or tails of the school's WiFi. Sometimes, it's really really weak in the places where it's supposed to be strong, like the library. Sometimes, it's really strong in a random bathroom. Sometimes, even if there's tons of people using it, it's still pretty fast. Sometimes, it's at a snails pace. It's almost incomprehensible.
Don't worry, unlike other schools and companies, pretty much everything is unblocked unless it's "adult entertainment" (wink wink) or torrents. It's useful. Maybe just use it when there's no more people left on campus. read more
