King Piers was able to get us on their schedule within a week. King Piers was more expensive and I didn't feel as comfortable with the man who did the estimate, however, the guy who physically did the work was kind and knowledgeable. My husband spoke with him multiple times throughout the process and said he seemed really experienced and confident but he wasn't arrogant. There was a miscommunication on our end, I misunderstood the scope of work. I was out of town and having to FaceTime in to see what was happening. As soon as my husband even dared to question the process the owners son got really annoyed, rude and, somewhat aggressive. As soon as he deemed us a potential problem he didn't listen to what we were saying and just kept repeating himself "Did you read the estimate? Do you want me to call my dad?" So...take that for what you will. They started very loud work very early, we had multiple complaints from neighbors frustrated that the concrete was being dug/drilled so early. The posts are seemingly solid, our floor is level, and the addition to the back of our home that was sliding is seemingly secure. Though they were more expensive than the other estimate, I didn't feel that the price was outrageous. Did they technically get the job done? Yep. Would I recommend them? Maybe?

I had patched up the one main hole but had concerns about the cracks in the walls (which the foundation inspector told me I needed to dig out and fill in with epoxy). Grant spent the next twenty minutes with me schooling me in the simplicity of "how water gets into a basement." He walked around my basement and outside and pointed out the things that needed to be addressed (window wells, grading, guttering, pitch of driveway, etc.). All in all, he was very straightforward in telling me that I needed to work on those things and work backwards. That this was a simple process of eliminating the issues of why water is coming into a basement and there was no need for his company to do anything at this time. I could have hugged him. I had been preparing myself to ask whether he wanted an arm or leg as payment and he let me keep both along with dignity. It is such a blessing to find a company in a trade that is so honest. We received 4-5 bids for repairs, our main concern being whether there was wood rot and water damage to the main structure. We ended up going with Eliseo at Midtown Stucco and I'm so glad we did. We were very pleased with the quality of his work and his experience. Eliseo was super easy to work with and answered all our questions. In our case, there was no significant water damage beneath the stucco, and he did an outstanding job matching up our old and new stucco. The hardest part for us was understanding how long it would take for our job to be complete and being patient for the whole process to be finished! It was mid-fall when we were ready to start (we also had our house repainted first), and we did have to wait a few extra weeks until the temps were good and no rain/snow in the forecast. Eliseo was great about keeping in touch via text message. It took about two days to remove and replace the stucco, and then a week to set before painting. Took off a star because he didn't always actually show up at the time he said he would, but in the general time frame. Also, he did not paint the trim, just the body, left a little bit of trash afterward, and got some paint on the garage door. We don't mind doing the trim work and the garage door clean up as it's common, but just pointing it out. I will definitely call Eliseo if we ever need stucco repaired again and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs a quality stucco repair at a reasonable price!
