So overpriced and honestly one of the worst pedicure experiences I've had. I didn't want polish on my toes, but they charged me the exact same price as a pedicure with polish. I've never been anywhere that charges the same whether you get polish or not. When I asked if they could at least take off the gel removal fee since I wasn't getting polish afterward, they refused. The pedicure itself felt incredibly rushed. She barely buffed my heels and calluses, the water was cold while my feet were soaking, and the gel wasn't properly soaked off with acetone. Instead, it was basically ripped off, which is terrible for your nails. I also added on a massage because I assumed the pedicure would be cheaper without polish and wanted to make sure the technician still got a good tip. Unfortunately, she kept getting up and walking away during the massage, so I definitely didn't receive the full time I paid for. The massage chair was broken as well. The sanitation was also questionable. The nail clippers did not appear to be freshly sanitized before being used on me, which was honestly concerning. The salon looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. Between the overpriced services, rushed pedicure, broken equipment, cold water, questionable sanitation practices, and complete unwillingness to work with a reasonable request, I left feeling like I wasted my money. I've been to much better nail salons in NYC that charge less and actually take their time. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

I honestly can't believe this place is still in business. I came in expecting a simple manicure and left THREE HOURS later with lumpy nails, TWO bleeding fingers, and a deep sense of regret. They clearly had no idea how to fix their mistakes. Every time I pointed something out, they just piled on more polish, making it worse. By the end, my nails looked like they'd been painted in the dark. I finally had to just leave because I couldn't take it anymore. And yes, I still had to pay for this disaster. I've been a customer for a few years now bc they are close by. I've noticed a huge deterioration in their gel manicures. They start chipping 24 hours later! This happened to me this past week. Went in on Monday and had a gel manicure. Saw a small chip on Tuesday. I went back and they applied more polish to the chip area. But then on Thursday another nail chipped. This is how it always is there. My pedicures are fine but I would go somewhere else for a manicure (gel or regular as I've had bad experiences with those too which is why I switched to gel). I've been coming to this salon regularly, but after my most recent experience, I won't be returning. I made an appointment for a manicure for myself and a pedicure for a friend. When we arrived, they told us to come back in 30 minutes. We returned as asked, but my friend decided to get a massage instead of a pedicure. I waited 20 minutes, only to be told that because she didn't get the pedicure, they wouldn't take me--even though I had made the appointment specifically for my manicure. When I asked why, they told me you can't make reservations for manicures. But when I called later, they were suddenly able to schedule me for one. The staff was incredibly rude and dismissive throughout the experience. It was unprofessional, frustrating, and made no sense. Man I hate to do this. It's such a fallacy that Yelpers only write reviews when they're mad. Whenever I have an awesome experience, I write the review while still sitting at the business or even on my walk home because I'm so excited to brag about them. And as for negative reviews (anything less than 3 stars), I am in the fetal position for weeks trying to decide if I write about my experience or not. Rewind to 3 weeks ago, my boyfriend was sweet and got me a gift certificate here for a manicure, pedicure and 20 minute back massage. Positives: they follow Covid measures very well! I was so pleased to see all the plexiglass, social distancing, proper mask wearing and consistently sanitized space. Also liked their high-tech pedicure chairs with quality massagers built in. Negatives: Overall very poor service. Here's why-- 1) Terrible application of nail polish on both hands & feet 2) Poor interactions with customers. Ex: I picked out my pedicure polish color and she said Ewww and handed me a new color. Very rude. 3) Unsatisfactory job done. I came home with the same rough bottoms of my feet as I came in with! Literally the exact same. I posted photos to show. Which has never happened to me after getting a pedicure before. 4) The polish on my manicure was uneven and didn't cover the entire nail on several nails. My cuticles were left a mess as well. In my opinion, if I'm going to risk going to a salon during these times, I'm not asking for you to roll out the red carpet. I'm just asking to get the job done. It's great they follow Covid safety protocols (likely better than every other salon in the UES) but if my hands and feet look the same as before I came in, you missed the mark big time. Very surprised at my negative experience due to all the other great reviews. Maybe the technician doing my mani and pedi was new? Still training new staff? Maybe so. I was happy to see that I was wrong. This salon is conveniently located, super clean, very friendly and does a bang up job on my nails. All safety precautions are taken here, I felt as safe as I could getting a manicure. What was an especially pleasant surprise is that one week later my nails looked as fresh as they did on day one. I used to be a regular here but they really have stopped caring about their customers. I made a last minute appointment and they told me no problem come in. I ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for my pedicure. I had to get up barefoot and ask how much longer. Then after my pedicure my manicurist abandoned me and I was sitting for over 15 minutes wondering what was going on. Multiple people made comments to me about how patient I was being. At the end I mentioned waiting around for 40 minutes and is there was anything they would do for me and they essentially ignored my request multiple times. Got nail extensions and was pleased - initially - when ai got it done because the nail tech was v detailed. However, two days in, one thumb nail broke off. Had a feeling bc there was substantial space left in-between my natural nail and extension tips. Queue 8 days later, the other thumb nail breaks off. I spent $100 on a gel spa pedicure which is over priced as is. 2 of my gel toenails chipped fully off within the first day. 2 more by the next day. Once this place opened it beat the distance and prices of my regular nail place. It took me a while to find a good technician but now that I have it's the only place I go. I came here after over a year of my nails being neglected. I avoided nail salons from the get go due to covid and boy was I CRAVING a good manicure and some cute color on my nails. My gal pal thankfully felt the same way. This place had just opened up around the corner from me and I had been eager to give them a go so we hopped into it. I got a gel mani and a regular pedi beginning of Feb and I am NOT kidding you - my pedi is still there (granted, with a few chips, but not much!). My gel literally never came off - I even cut my nails after 3 weeks because they were getting too long for my comfort and the gel stayed on like champions. I am SERIOUSLY impressed. I don't know if they use super glue or what, but BRA.VO! I will be going there again this week bc I just got engaged and need my nails on point for the rest of my life now. Went in for a powder manicure. Very clean, friendly, timely, and COVID-conscious staff. For example, someone was wearing their mask incorrectly and I asked to not be seated near them. Two nails of mine chipped within 24 hours and one actually broke.
