So much we could say about Daniel and his team. They were everything we asked for and more. At the wedding they not only provided great music that kept all the guests dancing, they also helped keep things in order and organized, even when the venue and their coordinator were not very on top of things. Just as important though, the process of preparing for the wedding was so helpful and organized. The site Daniel uses is extremely helpful and kept everything transparent so that had the freedom to make changes to the timeline. The site also provided useful recommendations for songs and Daniel was a great resource, providing his feedback on what would and more importantly would not work, based on his experience. We booked DLE Event Group for our recent wedding in September. Daniel and his staff are a pleasure to work with. They are professional, personable and responsive! They offer a nice variety of DJ/event options as well (performances, monograms, lighting, etc). We were pleased with the service we received from beginning to end! They also utilize a great app called Basecamp where all your DJ wedding services are planned and documented which you have access to 24/7. It was a great helping hand. I have to say I wish I never booked my wedding DJ with this company. My fiancé and I attended a wedding and thought they were great. The minute we got engaged I knew I wanted DLE for our dj. Sadly, as soon as I hit submit on the down payment my hope and excitement went out the window. Our reception hall asked that all vendors be set up prior to the start of cocktail hour so that they wouldn't be arriving along with our guests. I completed the contract with the corrected time and followed up with Daniel to make sure we were ok. A few days later I still didn't receive a response, so I followed up with a second email. Still, nothing. What I did receive was an email stating that my invoice was 14 days past due. I was finally able to track down Daniel and get him to contact me after calling his office. He explained that it was a computer glitch, and that we were fine. I accepted that and moved on. 2 weeks later I received an email from his entertainment coordinator asking if we were still interested in using them for entertainment..almost a month after I gave them an $1,100.00 deposit. By this time, I lost complete faith in this company and decided I couldn't depend on them. I sent Daniel a termination email explaining my concerns and reasons why I couldn't use them anymore. I was told that my emails were sent during a very busy time for them, and they must've gotten lost in the mix. This isn't what a bride wants to, or should hear. No matter what industry you're in, the customer should be made to feel like they the only client being focused on. Now, Daniel is claiming that I was unresponsive on the phone when he called to discuss the termination of our contract. In reality, I missed his call while I was at work, sent him an email asking to call my fiancé with any questions, and he never did. He finally sent an email last night stating that we would not receive a refund of our deposit. Would never ever recommend this dj company for anything! In response to Daniel's post: Daniel, It was never our intention to be the most difficult clients. It was our intention to hire an amazing dj who would make our wedding the best, which we saw you could do at a friends wedding. We have no doubt that your skills would have made it great BUT we did have doubts of whether you would even show up. Your business professionalism is nearly non-existent. In the email shown above, which you still have not acknowledged, we didn't even have a signed contract! Now, that email was sent on 11/25 and we responded to you to cancel our contract on 12/4. That's NINE DAYS that you had to correct the issue, and to say it was yet another computer glitch. Instead, we got no call or email. Nothing! If we had a signed contract, and you had so many opportunities to book another wedding, why were we receiving an email asking if we were still interested?? Additionally, to say that I became unresponsive and that you could only resort to leaving me voicemails is a blatant lie. You left ONE VOICEMAIL. As I said in my review, I couldn't get to the phone that ONE time. It is absolutely unacceptable and completely unprofessional to say you were just too busy to get back to me and to lie and say I ignored all of your calls. Is it really so hard to imagine and comprehend why we lost faith in your company and chose to not work with you? It was nothing but "glitches" since the minute we signed the contract with your company. I could not in good confidence go forward with the contract. The right thing to do would be to return the money. At the very least, a sizable portion , if not the whole thing. Either way, you make out better in the end. You can continue on to book another wedding, will probably keep our money, and we're the two left to find a new DJ 9 months from our wedding. read more

We can upload our ideas for our wedding in Basecamp and can modify it whenever we need to. My husband & I were happy of the turn out. Daniel really delivered the service we are expecting. Wow! I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with than DLE! We booked their DJ and photo booth services for our May 1, 2021 wedding in Montauk and it exceeded all expectations! From our very first interaction, we knew we found the right company. Daniel understood our vision and every conversation with him was like talking to a friend and it was always full of laughter. The entire process leading up to the big day was extremely professional and organized. The day-of, we worked with Aaron and Jase and they made the entire day from the ceremony all the way to the reception one that we will never forget. Everything flowed so smoothly and they kept everyone on the dance floor. Two moments I definitely want to highlight are: 1. after the reception was over, we had an after party that we didn't hire DLE for but Aaron and Jase stayed a little bit longer to help troubleshoot the speaker system that wasn't working properly that we were plugging our iPhones into to play our own music. They definitely didn't need to do that but were sooo extremely kind to help us out! 2. the morning after the wedding, the staff at the venue were telling us how all of the staff working in other areas of the resort were dancing and really enjoying the music Aaron and Jase were playing and they were one of the best DJs they've heard in a while. Could not recommend Daniel enough! From the planning process to the actual wedding he exceeded our expectations at every turn. He was very personable and easy to work with as well as organized. His set up allows for a seamless way to plan the entertainment from start to finish through his online site. I felt very comfortable in working with him on the music selections and felt he had a good handle on what we wanted to hear, but when it was the actual night of the event he crushed it! First of all, my apology to Daniel for this super late review on Yelp. My husband and I hired Daniel and his event group as our DJ and MC for our wedding on October 10th 2015. He and his group showed 100% professionalism! Planning a wedding is extremely stressful. We met up with Daniel a week or 2 before the wedding to discuss the details. He answered all of our questions in regards to the flow of the wedding and gave us tons of suggestions on the songs to be played at the wedding. We were extremely relieved and felt confident that the wedding will go smoothly after the meeting. Daniel did an excellent job in keeping the party fun and upbeat. (Not an easy task with Asian crowd) He even performed few songs for us and my guests loved it! I somehow lost my garter during the wedding. Daniel quickly grabbed a string from somewhere and asked me if its okay to use it as a garter. Thanks to Daniel's quick reaction, the game didn't go awkward and went on as fun as expected. One of the things that our guests can't stop talking about was our DJ! Danny and his assistant absolutely NAILED IT. They played music to satisfy a bunch of different preferences. Really read the room and knew when to move on from a song. Our dance floor was never empty throughout the course of the night and towards the end everyone was out of their seats singing and dancing. DLE was the only vendor we chose for our wedding that didn't come from a referral or we didn't see at a previous wedding. I just did some research and they seemed like the right choice and I am so glad I went with them- because they certainly were! Let me start by saying I LOVE THE ORGANIZATION. All the documents we could fill out and go over together on the phone later. It made everything so seamless and easy. Next, I loved how many options were included. We went with the DJ, lights, photo booth, and saxophonist. All of them were AMAZING. The music Daniel played was on point with everything we wanted. Everyone was dancing the second the party started. The photo booth and props were hilarious; they had a panda head that was basically floating around on everyone's head all night . And the saxophonist (totally forgot his name so sorry) was a huge hit. Everyone was raving about him; he was truly phenomenal. DLE DOES IT AGAIN!!!!! Daniel Dj'd my baby shower this past weekend (9/16/16) and did an exceptional job as always. This was my family's 4th time using his services and he delivers each time. DLE is able to adapt to the type of party without a hitch. I told him I didn't want a "regular" baby shower, that I wanted to PARTY and that's exactly what we did. I've had the pleasure of working alongside Daniel when I used to be a waitress for weddings. After all 200+ weddings I worked, Daniel was the only memorable and impressionable DJ, becasue let's face it, so many DJs are exactly the same. DLE Event group is one of the most organized companies we had the pleasure of working with. They use Basecamp which is a project management website that made communication of song ideas, and general feel of the day, absolutely seamless. We told Daniel what we were looking for on our big day, and he took our ideas and knocked it out of the park. It truly felt like we had an opportunity to collaborate with an artist, rather than just hire a DJ/MC. We are still getting compliments about how phenomenal of a DJ/MC Daniel was.
