Once work got started we had cameras set up in our house so we would check up on them from our hotel room. The crew was very messy. They didn't cover any of our belongings while they hung drywall. They left trash everywhere in our house (food wrappers, soda cans). They goofed off, watched videos on their phones and did very shoddy work. I'd say at least a third of their work had to be redone. This was all because of what would be a constant problem: no supervisor on site. EVER. The contractor in charge of our job was never to be seen. He would occasionally stop by first thing in the morning to drop off supplies, but was never around more than 10 minutes. I was in regular contact with him trying to understand why things were taking so long and why they were being done so poorly, but I had to also figure out that he was a "fast talker". He would constantly make deadlines and miss them. Promise things would be fixed, but they wouldn't get fixed or it wouldn't be done correctly and needed to be fixed a second time. This became the common routine since he never inspected any of the work done. He also wouldn't provide his workers with proper materials and they were always back and forth to Home Depot or Lowe's. I can understand running into an issue and needing extra supplies, but this was every day. One day I happened to be home while they were working and they wanted to stop work because they had been given the wrong toe kicks to match our cabinets so I went to Home Depot myself and bought them so they could carry on with other work. It was ridiculous. This also meant that I became the defacto crew leader at times. I had to follow everything they did and make notes of what wasn't done correctly or done at all and report back to the company like I worked for them. Our bathroom needed a new vanity and I had to measure the space for a new one because he couldn't be bothered to. Surprise surprise, my measurement was incorrect because I'm not a contractor (didn't account for outward swinging doors) but he bought a vanity based on my incorrect measurements anyway. Two more days lost This went on and on for months. Meanwhile, my wife and newborn son have been stuck on the second floor because the first floor is a jobsite run by a company with no sense of urgency, but very excited to get paid. I made the mistake of giving them payment up front for the first half of work and I think that had a lot to do with them dragging their heels because once they heard I had a second check from my insurance company they would not stop asking about it. It made me wonder if they were having cash flow problems because they seemed desperate for the money. In case anyone reading this doesn't know already, you DO NOT have to pay up front for ANY WORK. Payments are made when work is done like any other business. But the owners and supervisors at Anderson insist they are entitled to that money immediately. It took a conference call with my insurance adjuster and them to lay things out plainly. They had dragged their heels long enough and it was time to finish the job or not get paid. They magically completed everything in a week.

There were multiple items found to be fixed & re-inspected. Cool. When it came time for the re-inspection, Affiliated home inspections was paid to come back out to the house. They obviously never did. They used pictures from the contractor and assumed the work was good. The wood rot that was said to be fixed, never was. And was noticed by me on the final walkthrough the day before closing. We also discovered multiple other items that were never in the report (faulty wiring and light switches that pop breakers etc.). 6 months later of living in the house I am still finding things that were supposed to be caught on the initial inspection. Long story short, I received a subpar inspection, paid for a re-inspection that was never done. I would not recommend this company to anyone. And talking to others that have used this company, my issues aren't near as bad. DO NOT USE THEM.

I hired this company to do a mold inspection on my home. I picked this company because it had great…read morereviews, but now looking back at the services provided and what I have had to go through with this company, I realize that anyone can have friends and family go and post as many five star reviews as needed to make your company look good. My first hint should've been when the office was unable to keep track of the date that the person was supposed to come out and test for mold. This happened on several occasions. Thinking this was a good company, I chose the all inclusive package. When I asked what was included, I was told it included the inspection, swab of the mold areas to be sent to the lab, air quality test, remediation documentation and for them to come back out and test that the remediation company did everything to remove the mold. I thought this company was on the up and up giving me a single price for everything. I even repeated back what the package included to them, making sure I stated "This also includes coming back to retest the area contaminated for mold after the remediation company is done". I was told "oh yes, it is all included". This was a lie. This company charged me $800 without letting me know that the service had an additional cost or even giving me an estimate. This was the price for them to come back out after the demolition and sterilization was complete. Once I received the invoice I contacted the company immediately wondering why I was receiving this after I had already paid $900 for the package. I was immediately told that is not what they said, and I was also insulted. This company has bad business practices and will lie. I know this because the inspector insisted that scuff marks on the framework around the door was mold. It was merely scuff marks. This concerns me greatly because I had more of my house ripped out than what was needed due to an incompetence of not only knowing what mold looks like, but also the bad business practice of charging me for something that I was unaware was an additional cost and how much. This company should not be trusted. This review may not do anything. It may not persuade you from using this company, but I wanted to take the time to let you know what happened in my case so that it won't happen to you.
