My experience with home repair contractors has typically been bad to extremely bad, so I had a great deal of reluctance with hiring someone to completely renovate the first floor to create an open floor plan. After getting several estimates from various remodeling companies, we discovered Elite Restoration and Repair. We scheduled an appointment with Sam Chase, the owner, and provided him with ideas on what we were looking to accomplish. After getting a very detailed and 3D modeled estimate, we made the decision to proceed with Elite. Everything about this company was an amazing and unexpected experience. Sam is a truly wonderful business owner, and his crew are some of the most professional builders I have ever met. Everyone was extremely polite, attentive and ready to answer any questions or address any concerns we had. I have never had a customer service experience to this level from any home contractor before. The quality of work was exceptional and I can't stress enough the professionalism and honesty the people who work here exhibited on a daily basis. Sam assured us that we would be happy with the end result of their work, and we definitely were impressed - and we can be very picky! Finally, my initial concern for the remodel was pricing. Elite definitely came in under our expectations and were very competitive when compared with our other estimates. Sam was also very flexible and reasonable with any customizations we wanted to apply, and we still finished our project on budget and ahead of schedule from a perspective of duration. Then with ZERO meetings and ZERO feedback about customers and co workers I was "let go" via text message at about 6pm with the phrase "sorry to be abrupt". Abrupt isn't the right word, unprofessional is. How is an employee to know they aren't performing as desired if they're given ZERO FEEDBACK? Having only smiles and laughs with fellow employee's, the owner, and praise from customers; I had no anticipation of being fired. It really leaves you wondering WTH?! when you're told all of a sudden "we're letting you go, you've been doing everything wrong". George showed up for the estimate about five minutes early. Communication was very prompt. He got up and crawled all over the roof, inspected everything thoroughly. Gave me a competitive quote in line with my insurance company's settlement, and with top-quality materials to boot. I had scheduled a total of five companies to do my roof, and I kept saying to myself with each one "these guys aren't George." Some competitors didn't even get up on the roof to inspect it!
