Scheduling was easy and the basic exterior cleaning work was okay, but unfortunately the…read morefollow-through was disappointing. The crew removed the upstairs window screens as part of the cleaning. According to the company, they were still responsible for cleaning the screens, but they had arranged for my interior cleaners, who were working at the house at the same time, to put the screens back afterward. The problem is that the upstairs screens were never cleaned in the first place, and my interior cleaners said they were never told or asked to reinstall them. After everyone left, I discovered the upstairs screens were still dirty and had been left off the windows. When I contacted the company to resolve the issue, I was told they could not come back because the property was too far away and they did not have any other jobs in the area. I was also unable to personally inspect the windows and screens after they were eventually reinstalled. The current occupants are now telling me that some of the screens appear to be bent. Since I wasn't able to inspect them immediately after the cleaning, I can't say exactly when or how that happened, but it adds to the frustration of how the screens were handled and the lack of follow-through. Regardless of who was supposedly responsible for putting the screens back, cleaning them was part of the exterior company's work and that was not completed. There also appears to have been poor communication regarding who was responsible for reinstalling them. Overall, scheduling was easy and the basic cleaning was fine, but leaving the screens dirty and removed, followed by an unwillingness to return and correct the issue, was disappointing. Based on my experience, I would recommend using a different company.

I've been using Ascension Home Services for several years for my multi-level condo, and they…read morecontinue to deliver the best window cleaning and pressure washing service I've found. This most recent visit was another excellent experience. Eric arrived exactly on time, came prepared, and worked with impressive care from start to finish. He cleaned my windows and screens thoroughly and then pressure washed my balcony and garage. His work was meticulous--he took the time to do the details the right way and protected my floors and surrounding work areas throughout the job. Everything looked noticeably cleaner and refreshed when he finished. What I also appreciate about Ascension is their integrity and customer-first approach. It rained within a day of the window cleaning, and Ascension proactively rescheduled to re-clean the windows that were affected. That level of responsiveness and commitment to customer satisfaction is rare. I've used other window services in the past, and none of them compare to Ascension's quality and consistency. If you're looking for truly top-rate window cleaning and pressure washing, I highly recommend Ascension Home Services--and especially Eric for his professionalism and attention to detail.

I appreciated how the pricing was a very straight-forward flat rate for each window, which includes interior / exterior / screen cleaning. We had 60+ windows cleaned which was a very long job for only 2 crew members, but they were professional, courteous and stayed until the wee hours to get it done and done right. They managed to reach some very difficult windows and glass panels, and quickly addressed any issues that were noticed during our walk through. We would use them again!

How much does cleaning solar panels improve their output?…read more I had my solar panels cleaned recently by @sudandsqueegie. I had them cleaned only a few months earlier by another company, but I recleaned them because two panels were producing lower output and looked obviously dirty. The other panels did not look like they needed cleaning. I was surprised to see that the cleaning improved the output of all the panels from an average of about 340 Wh per panel to about 540 Wh, an increase of about 58%! The first picture is a drone shot of the panels, showing the two panels that were obviously dirty. The first panel picture shows the output of all panels before cleaning, and the second panel picture shows the output after cleaning. The panel output measurements were taken within 1 hour of each other at around 1 pm. It was a partially overcast day, so the output is usually much greater. However, it shows the amount of improvement possible with simple cleaning of the panels, despite them not appearing obviously dirty to the naked eye. It turns out the two panels that looked obviously dirty had cracks in the glass surface, and most of the discoloration was dirt that had seeped underneath the glass coating and could not be removed by cleaning. Surprisingly, not only did the surface cleaning of the two "dirty panels" improve, but it also improved the other panels that did not look like they needed cleaning! The original company that did the cleaning used a brush on a long pole to drip deionized water onto the panels. @sudandsqueegee used a long pole with two rotating brushes, which seemed to be more effective. They were very efficient and professional in their work. I recommend them highly.
