These are not the same fabrics you will find at Jo-Ann's or anywhere else that sells fabric. The other business upstairs is a framing shop, that has mostly religious pictures-both original and prints for sale. They will also frame anything else that you bring in and did not purchase here. The two women upstairs were very friendly and welcoming, and made me feel like an old friend. If you are looking for a gift, there are plenty of options, and even non-denominational gifts for people of all ages. Plus, the store is such a peaceful place to just browse.

But I looked up to the second floor and could have sworn I saw bolts of fabric lining the walls. But this is Deseret Book, right? Up the stairs I go, and sure enough that place is packed with fabric. Maybe technically the thing is a Mormon Handicraft, but there it is under the same roof so I'm calling it part of Deseret Book for now. Here's the low down on the fabric: it's really cute. One thing I wish they carried in addition to the paper packs is the Doodlebug stamps and dies. Since I like to make cards in addition to scrapbooking, having those matching stamps and dies right alongside the paper packs would be the absolute best!

Nothing. They don't say a single word to you. The cashiers are unfriendly, and act like they hate being there. They also shove everything you buy into one sack. When I was just there, I was buying breakable items. The male cashier just tossed them into the bag along with everything else. Not caring at all he was going to break what I was buying. Also, when I was just there, there was a man standing by the outside entrance bugging everyone for money. Customers don't want to get harassed by panhandlers. The managers should tell panhandlers to leave, or call the police on them.

A few months ago, my husband was with me at the Creekside location and was standing outside the dressing rooms holding my purse. One of the women there rudely asked him what he was doing there. He was nicely dressed and neatly groomed and it embarrassed him. He politely told her that he was waiting for me while I was trying on clothes. She didn't bother to apologize. It wasn't rocket science, he was holding a purse in a clothing store waiting for his wife. He didn't tell me this until we were home, which is probably a good thing. I called the district manager about it, and apparently he didn't find it necessary to fire this rude woman because she is still there. I avoided this store for quite a while but I was in the area and went back a few days ago because it was the first day of their big sale. Nothing there has changed. The women there do not greet you when you walk in, my shoulder was about to break before anyone offered me a dressing room and when I got to the checkout, one of the women made it very clear that she was much too busy to help me so she sent me to a woman named Nancy. Nancy was impatient and unfriendly and rude. I was trying to look at the tags and she very bluntly told me that she would take care of it. She charged me too much for one of the blouses, but I'm not going back there to show her the error. I was trying to talk to her, but I couldn't hear her because the rude lady who told me she was too busy to help me was yelling numbers and information to another woman across the store. Really? This couldn't wait? The Foothill store wraps your purchases neatly in tissue paper and asks if you would like boxes for any of the garments. Nancy shoved my garments in a bag like they do at Walmart. I have two sisters who live close to that Chico's and have had similar experiences and now drive to the Foothill store. I would suggest that the Creekside ladies learn some manners and customer service from Susan, Linda, and the other ladies at the Foothill store.
