I listed of floral, sour and gin, and was presented with a super tasty gin based jade princess. The music was great, areas to sit and dance too. Cocktails are not cheap, but they're very much worth it. A lot of people do seem to come here on the pull, which isn't my scene, and those who approached never pestered, which is wonderful. I really like the environment since it's quite chilled and non-rowdy. I can't stand yelling over others at bars and clubs that put too much crap syrup in their drinks. While it was possible to order reds and whites by the glass, there was only one 'by the glass' option for champagne, rose, and sparkling wines, and I was not in the mood to have to mull over the menu again if I did not like their selection. So, I ordered the cider. When the waiter brought it over, I noticed something on the inside of the glass, but when I looked up to tell him about it, he had already gone. I waited for him to come back, which took five minutes and I did not receive an apology, which I was not hung up about but it is still good customer service to do so. Once he returned and I tried the cider, I found it quite sour and not to my taste. The wines had descriptions so I felt one for the ciders and ales would have done very well. As for food, their offerings were mainly cheese and charcuterie dishes. I was looking for something more substantial, but it would have been rude not to order anything so I ordered the bread board, which is merely bread and olive oil. It was perfectly fine. The service was not anything to be impressed by. The waiter was not friendly at all. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very touristy, at least to me. The hosts and staff were very welcoming and accommodating to our family of four - two adults and two young children. Alongside the spanish menu sits the childrens menu, serving a limited range of kid friendly meals, all of which appealed to our two, whilst we enjoyed a selection of superb tapas from the menu. The atmosphere was relaxed, with a number of other families dining in the restaurant. To the rear of the restuarant, lies a patio with tables and beyond that, the garden, laid to lawn - a good sized area. On Sundays in the summer, the menu offers a traditional roast, or a barbeque (weather permitting) which is very popular. Overall, this resutaurant gets a big thumbs up for friendliness of the staff, quality and presentation of the food and accommodation of the dining guests. We'll definitely be returning.

I would probably have walked past Noble Rot if it wasn't for my in-the-know friends - who actually phoned ahead to make sure Charlie would open the door for us. This is not exactly a private members club, but it helps to have well connected friends ... Once inside you feel you have just walked back in time. We were greeted by 80's music (no, not Wham! think a good selection of ELO and funk) and even found a table in the corner. Two bottles of rather good house red later we had chatted to most of the other guests. Unfortunately, it was too cold to benefit from the garden area out back and everyone rushed back in after a sneaky cigarette or two.

The wines were of good quality though not cheap and I went back the next night. Definitely recommended.
