It was a pleasure doing business with Bernie. He was very professional and pleasant from start to finish. I had my 50th birthday party at the Richmond Country Club (RCC) on April 21, 2018. I selected Bernie from a referral list of DJs given to me by RCC. I contacted Bernie and after our first meeting over the telephone, I was sold by his professionalism, his pleasantry, his reasonable prices, and his wonderful package deals. I didn't have to look any further; he offered more than I expected, at an affordable price. I secured Bernie's services a year in advance, and in between time Bernie was always available by email, text or telephone, which was very comforting to me, since we didn't actually meet until the day of my party. I also found Bernie to be detail oriented and very accommodating and flexible when I made any changes. Bernie arrived to my event three hours early to set up his equipment. His DJ booth was very chic and neat, and he didn't require a lot of space for his equipment. I took advantage of the package deal consisting of DJ/MC services (Up to 5 hours), up lighting, customized monogram, photo booth (Up to 3 hours), custom message on photo strip, photos printed on the spot, unlimited access to photo booth, fun props (I even incorporated some of my own props to tie in with my theme and color scheme). At the end of the party, Bernie presented me with a flash drive of all the photos taken at the photo booth; I was surprised, I wasn't expecting to receive it the same day. The photo booth was a big HIT, my guest loved it! Bernie's assistant, Lilli was a sweetheart; she was very professional and attentive to the guest taking pictures. Bernie's sound system was crisp and clear. I gave Bernie two playlists, one was played during dinner, which was up-tempo gospel music, and the other was played while dancing, which was R&B and Classic Hip Hop (no cursing), and he also took special request on the spot. Bernie paid strict attention to the crowd on the dance floor. My guests ranged from 30 to 80 years of age, Bernie knew how to read the crowd and he knew when to play Hip Hop vs. R&B. He started us off by bringing us all together with the Cupid Shuffle, the Wobble, and the Electric Slide, and he even took us back down memory lane with a Soul Train line. We had a BLAST! Dj Bernie was the best thing to happen to our wedding besides us being happily married after months of planning! He is the full package and then some! Top quality DJ at the best prices you will find with tons of extras that you would normally have to go with multiple vendors to find. For one amazing price we got him as the DJ, he provided uplighting, a custom monogram, a photo booth with attendant to run it, offered mics and music for the ceremony (which we didn't need), and personal meetings with him, giving us the attention to detail we were looking for. One of the best decisions we made. Our wedding was comprised of Indian, Greek, Hip Hop, and top 40 music which he seamlessly blended together and made our diverse group of guests happy to dance to all night long. Through out the night I made requests and announcements on the spot which he was happy to oblige with a positive attitude. Our photo booth was a big hit and gave our guests some added fun to our wedding. He even gave us all the digital files of all the photo booth images taken just a few days after the wedding. It was amazing. Not only all of this, but just to speak a little bit to his personality, we even forgot to cut him a check for the day of because of all the hustle and bustle of the wedding. To which he was very understanding of our mistake and we immediately paid him the next day. We searched wide and far to find a good DJ as it was one of our top priorities and no one came close to DJ Bernie and the amazing packages he offered. Bernie was such a pleasure to work with. I HIGHLY recommend him for your next event. From the start Bernie was professional, organized, and detail oriented. Thank you Bernie for making our day & night even more special. We had a lot of things going on during the weeks & week prior to our wedding. I loved that I could e-mail Bernie & he replied right away. As the Bride to be, there are so many details from all the vendors that need to be addressed. If I left out something important in my communication with Bernie, he simply would ask that 1 important question. I had no doubts prior to our big day, I knew all was covered & I loved every second of it. I just wish I could do it all over again. We had Bernie DJ our wedding two weeks ago in San Francisco and he did an excellent job. He has done a few of my friend's weddings already so we were familiar with his work but he was as professional as ever. Our venue was on the older side so he had had to run extensions all over the place and utilize wireless speakers so there were some hiccups but he didn't panic and worked through it. His song selections were great and kept people dancing on the dance floor. We also utilized his Photobooth services and projectors and did not have any problems. He has great props and you won't have to worry about getting extra rentals for his equipment. The photobooth person I didn't catch her name, but she was friendly and tried to track down people who left their photos. Bernie's prices are reasonable and I would highly recommend him. We hired DJ Bernie for our wedding on 9/18/15. From the initial contact to the day of the wedding, he was amazing with his communication. I was emailing him from my phone the day of the wedding; and he responded! It was such a stress reliever to know that your vendors are on the same page as you. Even though I had to change the playlist a few times, he was great about updating his information too. Not to mention, his prices were very reasonable! Because of his experience working at the venue before, he knew the location in and out, as well as almost all of the other vendors we had hired for the day. I had the pleasure of working with Bernie at a wedding the weekend of 10/15/2016. I am a wedding coordinator and work with DJ's all the time, and have to say I was very impressed with Bernie. Not only was he on time and completely prepared, he performed exactly as the bride and groom requested. And when the groom requested changes to the music list just an hour before the event, it was not a problem. He incorporated the changes with a smile. Bernie was amazing!! We got the package with the photo booth and uplighting and I'm telling you...it is worth it. We provided him with a list of songs we would like played and he played most songs along with remixes and other songs that fit perfectly into our kind of music. My main concern was finding a DJ that was going to get my family up and dancing as my family is very reserved. He did just that. The photo booth was one of the best I've seen. Unlike some photo booths, it's difficult to fit a large group in a picture. Bernie provided an attendant to adjust the screen to fit as many people as their booth can handle. Unlike most of the reviews, I had the pleasure of working with Bernie during a wedding, at which I was the Wedding Coordinator. He was very friendly with me and the other vendors working, super easy to accomodate as I was in charge of getting the vendor meals for everyone and he definitely knew what he was doing while prepping the lights and sound system for the reception. From the music selection and execution to the beyond beautiful lighting, Bernie and his assistant kept the house upbeat and moving the entire time. His DJ skills were on par but not over-the-top by any means which I thought was very appropriate for that type of event. We hired DJ Bernie Carrion for our wedding on October 8 in Volcano CA. Bernie was easy to work with and could not have been more professional and helpful. He arrived early for the event, to set up. He worked with our color scheme regarding lights. He played music at a decent volume and was attentitve to the mood of the room. He was very helpful in providing MC services to announce the wedding reception events. His music mixing was great and he honored nearly all of the 80 song requests we submitted in advance, and at the last minute at our request was able to add a dance song we had not informed him about for the "first dance." We just did my daughters Quinceañera on Sept 3rd.and DJ Bernie rocked to house. Dance floor was always full and everyone made comments about how good the music selection was. He also did the mix for my daughters surprise party as well as the photobooth. DJ Carrion did my wedding on June 19, 2015. I contacted Carrion and had several questions since I've never hired a DJ before. He answered all my questions and even worked within my budget. I was pretty firm on how much I wanted to spend and we worked out a price we both were happy about! During the reception I had a few specific songs I wanted played (first dance, father/daughter) and everything went exactly as I wanted. Best DJ ever! We had a wedding for our daughter. Bernie and team were perfect for the fun vibe we wanted to create! I was impressed with Bernie's preparation. He emailed me several weeks ahead of the event and asked for the songs we wanted for the various stages of the event. He explained that he would honor most of our play list but knows his audience and interjected awesome songs at the right time especially in the dance faze of the wedding. We found out about Bernie through a friend of ours and I'm so happy I used him for our wedding. He did a great job providing the right music and made sure he kept the guests entertained. We decided to go with the photo booth and the monogram and I really felt like it made the night.
