This was the worst dealership experience I have ever had, and I have purchased more than 20 new…read morevehicles over the years. The issues began with the sales process--communication was extremely poor, with delayed responses and the need to repeatedly follow up for even basic information. I was also asked to provide unnecessary documentation despite not financing through the dealership. Upon taking delivery of the truck, I discovered multiple serious issues. The paperwork stated the vehicle had only five miles, but it actually had 179 miles. Additionally, the hubcaps and antenna were missing at delivery. Shortly after, the truck began throwing error codes due to an improperly installed bed liner. The outlets under the bed were not connected, allowing salt, sand, and moisture to accumulate and cause further issues. I had to bring the truck in for repairs and pay out of pocket to resolve problems that should have been addressed prior to delivery. To make matters worse, the dealership was unable or unwilling to provide updates on the missing hubcaps, including refusing to share a tracking number and stating that they do not provide that information. Overall, this experience demonstrated a lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic quality control, and it has significantly impacted my trust in the dealership.

I went to Luther for an oil change and rotation. I was told that would cost $148 until I reminded…read morehim that I bought the tires there with free rotation so he deducted $27. That should be in the computer and not sure if he would have charged if I hadn't mentioned it. He then asked if I wanted to get ahead on the 100K service for $785 (some services negotiable). I have under 92K miles on the F-150 . It's the week before Christmas and they want to give me a near $1000 oil change experience. I declined. Shortly after I was in the waiting area the advisor comes to me with a lug nut which he said was swollen and recommended changing them for $119. I asked what if I don't ? He said they will continue to swell and then it would cost $300 to extricate them. I'm 72 and used to do oil changes, brakes etc. on my own vehicles for about 35 years. Lug nut swelling was new to me as well as the other two guys sitting in the waiting area. What I didn't think to as was if all 24 of my Ford original lug nuts were swollen or just the one. I was caught off guard with that recommendation. after talking to others I heard similar experiences. A different Luther dealer tried to sell a guy an oil filter housing because they couldn't get the oil filter off.....yeah. No more Luther North Country service 'experiences" for me.

I don't like to be talked down to, and that initial phone call felt alright enough for me to solidify an appointment. However, things just went down from there. The coon rapids location kept my car for almost two weeks before a tech was available to look at it. I understood that they were busy, but I had to call multiple times for updates, only to be told I was "next in line," and, "worst case scenario, we'll get to it on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday," etc. Turns out, this entire experience turned out to be full of worse case scenarios. Additionally, I felt like I was being talked down to at every turn. I may not know a lot about cars, but the overall tone of this experience was that I may as well stick with them because no other shop would be able to diagnose the problem. Long story short, I had to get a new car and just pay for the diagnosis, which sucked. AAMCO offered to get rid of my old car for me, and I was expecting at least a few hundred dollars for it, as is typical with junkyard deals, but they never gave me anything. Usually, I would push back and ask more questions, but by that point I was ready to close the deal and never speak to them again. Don't go here! Especially if you're a femme person. Stay far away.
