The DJ saved our wedding reception. He did an incredible job keeping guests engaged, happy and on…read morethe dance floor. Couldn't say anything bad. Well done!

Before writing this review I called ggc production about my horrible experience at my wedding…read morereception. I never even got an apology from the boss (Greg) and he pretty much said my story didn't "match up" and there would be no refund. (Which I never even asked for) I hired ggc productions to dj my wedding. we filled out all the paperwork online for the ceremony and reception. The dj still asked me about reception grand entrance after filling everything out so I copied and pasted the same exact wedding party introduction I sent to my coordinators. I thought I was in good hands. My ceremony went smoothly. My reception was horrible. The dj (dj Reece) forgot to call about 5 people and started to call out the bride and groom. He also mixed a couple of the bridesmaids up. My coordinators had to run over and tell him he missed so many people. The reception entrance was totally screwed up! The dj came and apologized after so I let it go. Many of my family and friends the next day told me the dj was drunk and was taking shots. Guests also saw him pouring himself a shot. Then I hear from other guests that my dj was drunk or they saw him drinking. I was pretty upset how things happened after spending $950!! And also tipping the dj!!! After explaining all this to Greg, he never once apologized And said he needed more information. Greg then called me thinking I was the coordinator and said "the brides story doesn't match up" pretty much making me feel like I was lying. I told him I am the bride, then he studdered and told me how couldn't talk anymore cause he had to pick up his kid. Greg called my videographer, photographer, and coordinators to get their story. He told me they never saw the dj go to the bar and made me feel like a liar. Why didn't he ask to speak to the bartender who was actually at the bar? He spoke to everyone who were way too busy working at the reception to even notice if the dj was drinking. I never even noticed the dj was drinking myself. This is what other people saw. Well then I messaged the bartender asking if they saw the dj drinking or if he came to the bar. They stated they saw him taking 3 shots on the job and went to the bar. And poured a shot at the end of the night. Then saw a beer can fall out of his car. He just looked at the beer can and ran it over as he left. The bartender said the dj seemed odd and definitely didn't act sober. I'm really heartbroken how the reception went after workin so hard to try and plan it out. I only have a wedding once. I was also so embarrassed that my family and guest had to witness the dj taking shots after messing up the reception grand entrance. I honestly wouldn't care if he drank but the fact that he lied about it is upsetting. He said all he had was an energy drink, which is a lie . Own up to your mistakes!! The dj and Greg just made excuses for every mistake and lied. The dj did however, play good music during the reception and had people dancing. He provided extra lighting and the ceremony went smoothly. My coordinators said he was helpful with extra lighting and provided a generator. That I'm grateful for. I would never recommend a loved one or friend to hire for a wedding because that only happens once and I hope they ware able to learn from this. Maybe for a party or event. And horrible customer care after I called ggc production to tell them what happened. I never write bad reviews but this time I just had to because how bad of service I received from Greg. He never owned up to the dj's mistake and made excuses for everything that went wrong. Here are messages from my bartender stating they did in fact see the dj drinking and here is Greg's "apology" email stating the dj only had an energy drink. Horrible experience overall!!! I wasn't trying to get a refund at all. So I don't even know why he said he wouldn't issue me a refund. I would rather them give a decent apology and own up to the mistakes and try and make it right. I even tipped the dj after everything that happened so I'm not here to complain just to get a refund. My wedding only happens once and I would never wish this upon another bride.

UPDATES: We want to…read moreclarify why we gave a 4-star rating across the board instead of 5-stars. Our posted review was written with honesty and respect, aiming to help future couples and coordinators in similar situations. Since we planned the wedding ourselves--without a wedding planner and with Hana serving only as a day-of coordinator--we evaluated everything holistically, from the time we hired you to the wedding day itself. Here are the key reasons for our rating: Ceremony Timing & Communication Our concern was not about dead time during the rehearsal lunch but specifically on the wedding day. There was an unexpected pause in the ceremony, which left our groomsmen standing in the sun and caused some confusion among guests. While we could have emphasized the inclusion of the worship song between the ceremony and the entourage's exit, this detail was clearly listed in the Vibo App, which you mentioned was your guide for the wedding workflow. Delayed Communication About Props & Photobooth Background On July 22 and multiple times afterward, we asked for pictures of the props and photo booth backgrounds you had available. Your delayed response resulted in us having to purchase a background ourselves. Had we received the information earlier, we would have bought the background at the time of booking on July 9 instead of September 2, avoiding last-minute changes. Missed Venue Tour & Rehearsal Attendance On September 18, we scheduled a meeting because you were unable to attend the venue tour with other vendors. While we understand that you had another gig on September 19 and needed to prioritize your business, we were disappointed because you had "promised" two months prior that you would attend. We chose to set aside our feelings about this and appreciated that you instead committed to attending the rehearsal lunch, which you did. You mentioned that this was not typical for you, and we acknowledged that by giving you a tip for the long drive. Communication Concerns on September 18 During a phone call on September 18, when we provided feedback about communication issues, we felt uncomfortable when you said, "If you feel that I am not the right DJ for you..." This felt dismissive, especially since we had already chosen you over other DJs with similar or greater experience at a lower cost. Dismissal of Timeline Discussion On the same day, we tried to go over the wedding timeline in detail, but you repeatedly responded with, "That's too easy." This made us feel that our concerns were being brushed aside and gave us the impression that you were fully confident in understanding the tight timeline. Reception Announcements During the reception, we asked Hana to relay our request for you to announce the wedding favors and Venmo fund signs multiple times. However, the announcements were not made frequently enough for guests to take notice. As a suggestion, we recommend asking couples in advance which announcements are essential so they are not overlooked during the reception. Unplanned Performance During the Reception One of the biggest disappointments was an unplanned performance during the reception that was never approved by us. While this may not have been entirely your fault, it should have required our direct approval beforehand. To this day, it still saddens us that it happened. We believe our review was fair and balanced, considering the time and effort we spent meticulously planning our October 5 wedding over four months. We hope this clarifies our perspective. Thank you again for your time.

Not extremely happy with this DJ. We hired him to do our 12-05-24 wedding. He got all our big…read moremoment songs right, walking down the aisle, first dance etc. however he didn't play any of my specific reception dance song even though he uses an app for song we list that we specifically want played. He would start a song then randomly change it for no reason. His announcements for big moments weren't good and he really killed the reception. But again got the big moments so just okay. Probably wouldn't hire again

Aaron brought the jams. Heard about him through my venue, Mercury Hall. Thankful for that referral!…read moreAaron was prompt in his responses and went through everything in our consultations. He even followed up multiple times when I was too busy with other wedding stuff. He kept the jams going and was able to adapt to my last minute requests (like when I asked him to redo the garder toss song ). My siblings all used their friends to DJ their weddings and I'm so glad I picked Aaron. He even brings his dance lighting which made it even more legit. Great job Aaron!!!

Aaron was the Dj for our recent wedding on April 16 at The Allan House. Leading up to the wedding…read morehe was extremely helpful providing us with a music worksheet and talking on the phone with me and my wedding coordinator multiple times making changes and giving suggestions. We had quite a few songs that weren't your normal song requests and he was more than accommodating. The best part of having Aaron as our Dj was how much he rolled with the flow the day of. It was raining the day of our wedding and unfortunately the tent was leaking Into the area where he was supposed to set up. Our ceremony was delayed over an hour so it cut into a lot of our dancing time. He was able to set up in a different location no problem. After we finished all the ceremonial items I gave Aaron the thumbs up and he immediately kicked up the music and got everyone dancing for the 45 minutes or so that we had. I felt like even though time was short all the songs we really wanted were played and everyone had a great time. Would DEFINITELY recommend Aaron for your wedding or special event.
