Of course, he tailored his messaging toward empowerment-- all bodies are great bodies, and all bodies are welcome. The reality, however, was that most of these students were recent L.A. arrivals with little working knowledge of the entertainment industry. It's hard not to recognize the power imbalances at play and potential vulnerabilities being exploited. Having said that, I will not disparage the talent that came out of these shows, and I will commend the owner's rules regarding privacy (no cameras allowed) and hygiene (towel is required).

The parking in the area is very much street with both residential and metered spots down and around Tujunga Ave between Moorpark and Woodbridge. They do have restrooms inside though theme nights and shows don't typically run too long. Allen Levin, the owner, is a saint fielding calls for questions and managing sales and lineups. They will see you and track you down at your seat if you are caught filming. Each production I've seen at the Pantages is flawless and most entertaining. When I showed up I could tell there were people that have been doing this group for a long tIme. Well there's a reason for that. Eartha is, simply put, magic. Her smile is infectious. She's got so much swagger. As a new mom going to her class was like going out to a club except I didn't have to get dressed up or stay out late. I could just close my eyes, get down, and lose calories! But don't close you eyes too long haha. You've got to work for that class WERK. People tell me to try out their Zumba class i just nod and smile because i know there could NEVER be a class that compares to Eartha. She's like a fairy i love her!
