I'm actually confused by the reviews below, well each to there own! I hired Hanley's to carry out a relocation from my home in Blackrock, County Dublin to San Diego CA. I sent my goods as what they call "Part Load", this basically means that my stuff was in a 40ft shared container. 2 weeks after my belongings were collected in Blackrock I received my shipping waybill by email. This had all the info i needed! Tracking number, time of arrival, shipping agent on the other side etc.. My furniture was collected from my residence in Blackrock, Dublin was collected 02/06/2012, the container left on the 16/06/2012 and arrived into the port on 30/06/2012. It then took about 10 days until my stuff was ready for delivery. The guys how who actually done the job were honestly the nicest bunch of people i have ever met within the removal business! All very professional, smartly dressed in full uniform and extremely polite. From experience most company's don't care about you, your family or your furniture, but Hanley's were different. Everything moved at our own pace and there was no rush or hassel through out the day. I was told that on the day of the removal the guys would arrive between 9-10am, lone-be-hold there they were outside my house the 8:55 ready to go. Now keep in mind i'm a Mum of 3 young children all under the age of 7, they were running around and basically just being kids but the movers just got on with the jobs with no complaints! One the day they had these little portable cardboard wardrobes which were brilliant for all of my more expensive dresses and coats. Every singly item of furniture was wrapped in a soft cushion material and all my delph/pictures etc. were rapped with bubblewrap/paper. I felt compelled to write a review of my recent experience with DJ Hanley Removal company. I had them come and provide a full packing service from my home into their storage facility in Newtownmountkennedy for a period of 3 months. The day before the move 3 members of their staff arrived with packing materials boxes and wardrobe hanging boxes. They were very mannerly and professional doing their job carried out the task without any complications at all marking clearly on each box what the contents were. Next day they arrived bang on time and started to load the wooden storage containers in the truck. I found them extremely efficient and took great care of all my precious items. My goods were taken into their state of the art storage facility where they remained for 3 months. I contacted the office to arrange delivery of my goods to my new address and they were able to fit me in no trouble. They arrived early on the day arranged and very quickly had everything in place with the exception of two wardrobes and a large dining table which did not fit into my new home. I was assured there was no problem taking them back to the storage facility and I could arrange to come take them out with one call to the office. I managed to sell them within 3 weeks and during that time contacted Ken or Caroline in the office to organise viewing with potential purchasers they couldn't be more helpful, polite and efficient as were each and everyone of the staff I had dealings with in the company. My experience with Hanley's was very different to the other reviewer's. I had to move to Cork from Kildare last month at short notice and obviously needed all my belongings to be moved down. I'm a musician so I was really quite worried about my equipment. I had heard really good things about Hanleys. I rang them and it was very straight forward from there. They arranged the pick up on a Monday morning at 8am and at 8pm. I had made it to Cork with all the boxes of my belongings intact. My equipment had been meticulously packaged and protected for the journey. One of the removal men had even noticed the leg on my Victorian piano stool had a fracture in it and suggested they take it and repair it in their furniture restoration business, which was music to my ears ( excuse the pun!) So, although I didn't get the stool until a week or so later they had upholstered and fixed it as a good-will gesture, I was thrilled. From start to finish I found this company efficient and professional. Their office staff and removal men were really a pleasure to deal with. The price I paid was more than competitive from what I've seen. I'll definitely be using them again. read more

I had my household stuff in storage with Hanleys for 3 years, They came to my house, packed up all my stuff and put it straight into a wooden container, where it stayed for the remaining 3 years. They were all very professional and well mannered. The put all my hanging clothes into wardrobe boxes and supplied all the packing cartons free of charge. When ever i had to get something out of my container i only had to give them a call and they had it down in a matter of hours. I found there storage rates to be the best in the Wicklow / South Dublin area, and my removal fee was very reasonable. All my goods were returned to me in perfect condition, i cant fault this company at all. I can highly recommend!!! I would 100% use them in the future again. - My sister in law used them a couple of months ago and was also delighted with the service! read more

We had Hanley's yesterday for what we thought was going to be a very stressful move they literally made it look easy and we were able to show the guys what was needed to be moved then we poped out for a coffee and some food and when we came back we just did a check around and the whole house was cleared and ready for delivery, we couldn't believe how quickly they done it , at our new house the guys put everything where we wanted to absolutely no problem and we have a loft room conversation done which is 3 flights up which we were storing a lot of stuff all done with a smile from the lads highly recommend and very efficient workers , nothing was a problem for them reassembled all of our beds and just really done a great job , I'll never be moving again but if I was I'd be sure to call Hanley's again read more

Woohoo is right! We used these guys when relocating from London to Carlow. We'd moved around London quite a bit and had had some pretty awful to average experiences to say the least. Having said that, would tend to get quite stressed at the idea of doing a big move. We have A LOT of stuff, so I was quite skeptical about fitting everything in and hauling it safely but these lot were just awesome! They were friendly, efficient, competitively priced and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! Cheers Lads :)! read more

I had Hanley's in to move us from Carlow to wicklow and they were amazing. They came bang on time and packed our whole house top to bottom in 3 hours, everything was packed so well and we didn't have to lift a finger. We met them at our new house later that day and they made the move so easy that we could enjoy the experience of moving into our forever home so much more. We found Hanley Removals to Competetively priced, efficient , courteous and most accommodating when we had reason to get some small ( but important ) item out of storage. All personnel that we dealt with , from office staff to delivery men were very courteous and very helpful. read more
