Grant DJs at another level!!! Right from the start he was open and responsive to our questions and requests. Grant also clearly had much experience preparing for events, because he provided us with a thorough list of questions that gave him all the answers he needed for an awesome performance. The main aspects that set Grant apart from... pretty much every other wedding DJ I have experienced, is his naturally enthusiastic attitude, his ability to keep the event (primarily reception) flowing according to schedule with charismatic announcements, his ability to read the crowd and make excellent song choices (I have never heard so many compliments on a wedding DJ's music selection), but most importantly his enthusiasm when DJing behind his equipment and on the dance floor leading all the guests in a dance. My wife and I are usually not eager to jump on the dance floor, and we were expecting to rely on Grant hosting some wedding games (which he had many suggestions for), but we didn't play one game due to all the life on the dance floor until it was time to pack up. Based on our average quotes, Grant was slightly more expensive, but his service was 100% worth the extra money! Well it's been a year and a half (close to two years) since our wedding where Grant DJ'd and we're still getting rave reviews! I had meant to write a review much sooner, but the past (almost) two years have been beautifully crazy. However, it goes to show how close at heart writing a review for Grant has been to me - as I've returned to make sure the world knows how FABULOUS Grant's DJ'ing services are for any event. My husband and I got married at the Sacramento Railroad museum. Before our wedding we met with quiet a few DJ's in the ginormous space for two reasons 1) first and foremost to find a DJ we connected with and 2) to get various feedback and bids ... Most all of the DJs/companies we met with tried to add on equipment and price with "worries about the crazy echoes and poor sound" the space would create. When we met with Grant not only did we LOVE him for who he is: his laid back but supremely cool vibe, but he also seemed very confident there would be little we would need, by way of additionally equipment, for the space. He did not try gouge our wedding DJ costs for the sake of making money. Grant was confident the sound would be great with a few small additions. Sure enough, all the sound (including speeches) sounded beautiful at our wedding and in the space. Grant's DJ'ing skills are impeccable! Grant perfectly acclimated himself to the various moments and people at our wedding; he created the perfect ambiance at the right times! Grant kept the energy up for all our guests and played all the genres and songs we wanted (adjusting to keep up with the crowd.) He made himself a solid presence, while at the same time keeping the focus on us and the guests. He's beyond professional and has the BEST attitude!
