This dj is not professional,he would not respond to many texts calls and emails,at 3 weeks before wedding he finally contacted her and she asked him if he was going to show up he stated he liked to do things his way.he did he left his phone on during wedding while they were exchanging vows and rang.he was supposed to play designated songs to dismiss tables to eat,he did 2 and left the rest of tables for 15 minutes until he was approached and said he wanted to play other songs, he was very indignant that he had to play correct songs for people to get there food.he messed up the father daughter dance by not playing the right version and kept changing it, yes he will do it his way he destroyed precious moments in my granddaughter's wedding read more

DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS. There is a reason the last good review was written two years ago. I wrote a detailed, authentic review on Wedding Wire and he deleted the entire page so that other couples could not be warned about how awful he is!! He is rude, inappropriate, and unprofessional. - During our initial interview with Gary, he spent a lengthy time bragging about how he gets free advertisement from the sweet old lady who runs the wedding venue we chose. He also called a previous client a "bridezilla" because she had wanted to make changes to the timeline that he made for HER wedding. - He was completely inaccessible leading up to the wedding. I tried multiple times starting in March (our wedding was in May) to contact him over the phone and email (SEE PHOTOS FOR PROOF OF EMAIL UNRESPONSIVENESS). He would either ghost me or say "I have 4 weddings this weekend, I'll get to you next week" and then proceed to not respond as promised and give the same excuse the next time I reached out. - When he finally got in touch with me 5 DAYS before the wedding, he attempted to change important parts of the wedding timeline that had already been cemented in with the other vendors and with my wedding vision. - During this meeting, he argued with me about doing a dinner playlist that I had specifically asked him if he was okay with doing BEFORE we even hired him. He had agreed to this idea at that time, but suddenly wanted to change it 5 days before the wedding. - On the day of, he did not arrive when he told me he would (2 hours before the ceremony) so I was stressed that he was not going to show up while trying to prepare for the wedding. He rolled up 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time and did not formally introduce himself to me until the reception. - He was not playing the dinner playlist that we had agreed on (the one that he had such a hard time accepting) to release guests for dinner, so I asked my bridesmaids to speak to him on my behalf. He rudely and very loudly snapped at them in front of everyone. - He made an uncomfortable baby-making joke as a transition to the FATHER-DAUGHTER DANCE! All of our guests thought that we were announcing a pregnancy! - When initially interviewing him, I told Gary that the father-daughter dance was a very important part of the wedding for me and that I wanted a custom version of the song (The instrumental version of "you'll be in my heart" that would segway in to the lyrical version). I had reminded him multiple times from March to May about the song and even went as far telling him where to splice and blend the songs so that it would be easy for him to put together. Come the moment I had been imagining with my dad for 10 years, he played the two songs over each other and it was the most horrible sounding thing ever. It was clear that he did not prepare the song ahead of time, because he was clearly panicking behind the booth trying to fix it while we were dancing. I would understand if it had been a simple mistake, but he had been given over a year to prepare the song and had been reminded multiple times. - He convinced my husband and I to do our first dance before dinner (we wanted to do it after dinner so our guests wouldn't have to watch us hangry) and then proceeded to play the full 4+ minute song even though we had agreed that we would cut it down to 2 minutes so that our guests wouldn't get bored. - Multiple guests have told me that they heard iPhone notifications interrupt the music throughout the night. Gary never apologized for anything that he did. I never heard from him again. And I find it very sneaky that he would go as far as to delete the page where I made my initial review. On top of that, everything that my husband had requested to happen during our wedding day went perfectly fine. It was just the things that I told him were important to me that went sideways. This guy starts out like he knows what he's doing at first but when it comes to the big day, he comes unprepared like he's cramming for a big exam and didn't study. He totally destroyed my daughter's daddy daughter dance song, which was supposed to be a big surprise to me from her. At least I knew what she meant by it and it was still a crying, touching moment for me. Everyone else couldn't understand what was going on with the music. They knew he didn't have the correct song and he was just trying to swing it but started over with the same song repeatedly. It was aweful. Not bad for a children's party but not good enough for a day as big as this was. Definately not worth the money!!! read more

What a night! I got in touch with Gary through a recommendation of a friend. From our first conversation several months before the wedding, he was awesome. He clearly had done many weddings and events and was better prepared than I was. He took the time to come and see the venue (my house) and let me know what I would need to add and what he provides, where he would set up and what I would get. The day of the wedding, he and his partner were on time, set up looked great and he worked around the sun which was not cooperating with us. Despite a literal wedding crasher (someone hit our RV in the middle of the wedding) he did an amazing job of pulling us back to enjoy the party we were trying to have. He helped to make the entire night flow well from start to finish. My entire family complimented him and his partner, who was running the photo booth. The photo booth that we added on was unexpectedly fun! They let us go a little longer since the night got broken up. Music was on point, he took requests from the dancers, as well as playing through the extensive song list I had provided. I was SO pleased with them and would highly recommend for any party and most especially for a wedding. I was super stressed and overtired and he has the most calm demeanor the entire evening which helped to relax me too. This is the only thing I would change about our wedding. He failed to provide the music list as promised. He was incredibly difficult to get ahold of. He did not play our must have songs, and cut off our favorite one in the middle of it. Seeing these other reviews makes me think Gary did not take my wedding as serious as he takes others and it which breaks my heart. I had a lot of issues communicating with him leading up to my event, he simply stopped answering for a period of time. Another issue I experienced was Gary cancelled 30 minutes before a meeting that we had been planned two months in advance, that was his idea to have, with all of our vendors 3 weeks before the event. When it came to getting details about different aspects of our ceremony and reception the answer we got on multiple instances was, I've done a thousand weddings, I know what I'm doing. We did not appreciate our questions being dismissed. Seeing these rave reviews from other customers makes me question their authenticity or the level of effort we received from Gary. We paid Gary in full 5 months in advance and exactly what he asked for. We held up our end as clients by giving him everything he asked of us as soon as possible. on Feb. 28th Gary DJ'd our wedding and he could not have done a better job in my opinion. He was very active in helping us plan the timeline of the event, offered great ideas that we never would have thought of, such as games and songs, and always responded to us very promptly whenever we had a question or suggestion for the reception. He was great in getting our guest involved during the reception with the games and music mix. All of our friends and family commented to me and my wife how fun our wedding was, and i know, and they all agree, alot of it had to do with the job Gary did. Gary was the DJ for my wedding in April 2014. He was the perfect professional. Had everything planned at the rehearsal and even made suggestions for songs that made personal touches for my husband and I. He kept the party going and knew how to feel the guests at my wedding, even created time for husband/wife games that we didn't think we had time (venue time constraints). Played songs we had never heard before but were great choices as they are all my husband has been listening to since the wedding. The lighting he added spruced up our cold barn and made the ambience fun. Snow in April didn't change anything either. Very down to earth and independent worker which put this overwhelmed bride at ease. Made easy to travel to Prescott and beyond to our ranch/barn. Gary knew how to keep everything running and smooth and fun. Thank you Gary. Would not recommend the photo booth operator, however. If it is the same one we had. I did not meet her prior to the wedding; last minute addition to our wedding package. We thought it would be fun to have silly pictures of family and friends. But she was highly unprofessional by indulging in our open bar to the point she was cut off by my bar tenders. I was not made aware of the situation until after the fact. She was witnessed by several of my guests spilling a drink on her photo equipment, and being "sloppy". They also informed me of the bar tenders approaching her at least twice about how she received drinks after being cut off and stating "I had someone else get it for me". Our wedding started at 5-5:30pm and we had to be out of the venue by 10pm. I just can't comprehend how she was the only one of my guests cut-off and she was supposed to be working. May be a sore spot since we ran out of liquor that night. I only noted problems with her being turned around when I was attempting to take some pictures with my bridesmaids. She was talking with someone and didn't turn around to starting taking pictures until several minutes later; i only got one photo in with my bridesmaids before being called somewhere else. Took almost 7months to receive copies of all photos; granted we had good communication with Gary about it. She by all means did not ruin our night, but looking back if I had seen this in the review of her we would not have chosen the photo booth last minute. read more
