So Jesse came to our house today to do a estimate on my backyard. You would think the first thing that a person would do would be to introduce themselves. Let them know who your name is and what company you work for and what may I do for you to help you out but nothing not even as a significant interest in gaining your respect or business. That was the first mistake. The second mistake was looking around my property like I was a second natured compared to her Jesse that I was not as important because I wasn't a rich, motherfucker that she was expecting. I wasn't happy with the second idea, so as I went along with listening to what she was explaining for my backyard, I gave some questions on what if I was in this? She stated that it wouldn't last as long because it was concrete or my idea that I should go with I'm sorry, honey I don't work on Commission.! So maybe next time it'd be a good idea to greet yourself shake your customers fucking hand and maybe listen to what they have to say and then give your thoughts to make things better but don't walk out to somebody's property and act like your shit is bigger than mine. Just because I don't make as much money as you do. I am not a fan of Jesse's. I think I could do the job better and cheaper than she can come up with. Now her boss Cody gave a different pricing you don't know the job and you're not experienced in a particular position I wouldn't give out pricing piss off the client (ME) when you're gonna give me a price less than what Jesse is gonna give me! So I'm sorry was not a fun exclusive for the company. I'm sure she was tired as I but don't come into my property acting like that. Your shit is better than you have no idea how big and shit is when I'm the one who owns the property. am the maybe you should treat me like I am. My kid really wanted to get his Dad a new yard ornament and Dixie Yard works has a plethora. I called there store location first to make sure they had what my kid was looking. The staff member was super nice and friendly, said she wasn't 100% sure and that said she will go outside and take pictures of their current inventory and text me pictures. That is a WOW and she answered my questions over text about pricing and store hours. I was able to head down after work and pick the one my kid wanted and the gift was a hit! read more

I recently bought a 60 lb bag Polymester Sand for my patio. I asked for black polymer to fix my patio. The male put it in the car and I assumed it was correct. I told my grandson to open it and bring me a shovel . I was sandy and it was the color of sand. We put the sand in the cracks, but it didn't harden after we sprayed it. We waited 36 hours. We sprayed it again and it didn't get hard. All it did was spread when it rained throwing sand all over the patio and leaving holes. I recently ordered 3 ton of gravel. A Hispanic male called me. He said," What is your problem? I told him I needed the rock for a sink hole . He said he was told to dump it in the driveway. I told him not to . He said then he'd have to drop in the yard. It killed my grad before I could move it due to the rain. When he came back with 3 ton of gravel as before , a male told me it wasn't 3 ton. I didn't think was. The Hispanic male told me the first load was short 1/2 ton but I'm sure it was short more. Possibly 2 ton. That leaves the company owing me about 3 more ton of gravel. read more

This place is amazing they have everything you could possible need or could imagining for your yard. They are a family owned business. They have great customer service and the employees have down to earth personality. My friend want a Fountain in her yard and yes, she is a little extra when it comes to extravagant items. Dixie Yard Works is (literally) in the shadow of their nearest neighbor, at least as far as what you can quickly see from the Dixie, especially when travelling at Dixie-speeds, in this area. Frankly, I didn't really have too many expectations when I recently stopped in, even though I'd called a few area landscape supply businesses (including DYW) for quotes, and been impressed by the service and willingness to explain the differences between products, particularly bulk landscaping materials, among other things by their staff. I discovered a lot more than I expected during my visit, as far as fountains and other concrete "sculpture", play structures and small to medium sheds (these, I've always known they carried - I guess I thought they were yet another shed-shop / modular building seller), special order masonry landscaping stuff (built in patios with benches and fireplaces and whatnot)--well beyond what one sees at quick glance, and a fair variety of bulk landscaping materials. The staff is knowledgeable about their products, helpful, and attentive - at least they were during my visits. Their office guys were really nice and, even in the rain, came out to load some concrete stuff I probably could have wrestled into the truck bed myself. They also have pretty fair prices and a pretty cost-effective (apparently annual) Memorial Day sale. I don't do a lot of landscaping and I'm certainly nothing more than an amateur. But DYW has made my yard clean-up a hell of a lot more pleasant and less costly than I thought it would be after calling around and getting quotes for what I needed. ETA (12/5): In the last few months (since my introduction to DYW in, what, May-ish), I've noticed the business referenced several times as a donor / organizer / participant in meaningful volunteer projects. While I've not been back to DYW (yet - next spring will be for spring clean-up, though!), so re-reviewing isn't legit, I wanted to add this info to my review to note a local, small town business with good intentions, putting its money where its mouth is and doing good in the community. While the work they did was great they left a terrible mess for me to clean up. Instead of being able to enjoy my new patio/walkway, I am spending the weekend trying to get concrete dust off of EVERYTHING on my back porch. A simple "heads up" would have been nice so I could have removed the patio cushions, covered the fit pit, heater and furniture and otherwise prepared for the mess! Really disappointed. read more

Whenever I need landscaping material I go straight here. You too should skip the box stores and go straight to these professionals. These are great people, excited about their work, ambitious, helpful whenever you have questions, and will load stones into your truck in the pouring rain. On top of the good prices one can't ask for anything more than that. But somehow they deliver more. They will answer rookie questions without talking down to you, process your order quickly, help load you up, and get you back on the road at your pace without hurrying you but always expeditiously. Customer service perfection happens here--I'm not sure how to quantify exactly how or why despite my 4 years of shopping here, but I'm confident that DYW mostly delivers their service to a customer so well because of their energy and passion for their community, their profession, and their customers. read more

This place is amazing. If you want quality work from true professionals, this is the place for you. This is our second time using Dixie Yard Works. The first time, Brandon, Efrain and their crew came out to create a patio with pavers and wow. It is truly beautiful and they were so efficient, so organized and very clean!!! They even added extras because they felt it would make the patio look better...they were right. It was perfect. The second time, we asked to replace all our mulch and spruce up our boring yard. Their new addition to the team, Jessie, is amazing. She created a beautiful plan that came together perfectly. Brandon also created and installed a bubbling boulder which gives our yard the zen effect!! We love it and couldn't be happier.
