So this review took me a long time to write because I was recommended to this locksmith by several people in the community. I went in to get a copy of my car key, which is analog, no transponder, remote type of key. Just a standard off the shelf car key. (Yes I drive a "vintage" car from the 90's). Upon entering the establishment, I noticed that I was the only one wearing a mask at the business. A couple of people were in close proximity. I ask to get my car key copied. I was a bit disappointed that the car key was just a generic silver key. Usually car keys try to resemble the manufacture design. Ignoring that detail, I got the car key duplicated. Upon returning to my vehicle, I noticed it was difficult to open the car door. First attempt to start my engine failed. I went back into the store to let the locksmith know about the dilemma. First thing was to blame the car key itself. True it is a copy of a copy, but I still did not have a problem with the car key before. Next the locksmith went out to my vehicle and "forced" the key in several times into my ignition until one side of the key will turn the ignition for it start. Now my original key started to have difficulty to turn the ignition. I am not sure on the quality of their keys, but their service of first blaming the key, then "forcing" it into my ignition, NOT offering a refund, left me bewildered as to their customer service. read more

I found these guys by accident and they are awesome. I just bought my house and wanted all locks changed. I bought the locks I wanted on amazon and these guys came out within 2 days of when I called. They had to drill 2 deadbolt holes and installed all 4 sets of new hardware (knobs & deadbolts) and keyed them alike. He was fast too! It only cost $145. I would definitely call them in the future if I need a locksmith again. read more

My only car key broke. My very expensive, only car key that communicates with the computer in my car broke. In half. After calling around town for an "automotive locksmith" (something I didn't know existed until yesterday morning) that could work with a Mitsubishi key (which was something like finding a needle in a haystack) I finally found Dixie Lock & Safe. When I called I was prepared to be told that I would have to pay well over a hundred dollars for a completely new key and then some other, scary, unknown price for the technician to do the magic trick that made the new key communicate with my car. Instead I was told to bring my key in that they could check to see if they could use my current broken key, replace the broken parts and make it work again--all for $56.00! Yay! When my lunch break rolled around I was out the door and to their location in no time flat! I've grown accustomed to my car working... and I wanted to ensure the continued operation of my vehicle. When I got to the location there were two people working in this super cute, super tiny store. The staff were kind and funny and I remember thinking how fun it would be to work someplace like this. The walls were covered with any kind of key you can imagine-- some you would have thought would have only been found in your imagination! They have everything! My key was fixed in about 20 minutes and for $50.00--they used my old key with a new key fob, making it perfect! I hope that I never have to go back... I don't want my car key to break again, but I enjoyed my experience here and I will suggest my friends go here if they ever need any kind of key repairs. read more

I just had Dixie Lock and Safe come over and unlock my bathroom door. It has been locked for two days (luckily we have more than one bathroom) :) I live in North Augusta and called the office on Washington Road. The receptionist on the phone was very nice and thoughtful. Two guys came shortly after I made the call and they were wonderful. Very nice and friendly to talk with. They had my door open in less than 5 minutes. I am so thankful for that. If we should ever need a locksmith again, and I hope we don't but if we do I will without question call Dixie Lock and Safe.
