I found Sal's on Yelp and called ahead to see if they had time to check out my car, and they did. When I got in, CJ was very welcoming and had Kevin take a look immediately. Within 5 minutes, there was a diagnosis and the quote was more than fair. Upon further inspection as the work was being done, it turned out I had another problem that couldn't be seen, initially, and was only found because they went an extra step further to ensure my car's safety and the life of the repair they were doing for me. CJ took the time to show me the worn down parts and the adjusted rate for the additional repairs was also more than fair. I waited in the coziest, air-conditioned lounge decorated with antique cars, trains, art and furniture pieces. Once the repairs were finished, Kevin did a double check by taking my car out for a short drive and made adjustments to ensure that all was well before I drove off. These guys are thorough and really care that everything is done just right. After all was said and done, I was out in about 2.5 hours with a safer car, and a feeling that I got much more than I paid for. I am only giving one star because there is no option for 0…read more I brought my vehicle in on March 1 for overheating and coolant-related issues, and Max (the owner) told me it would be ready in 10 days. Instead, I didn't get my vehicle back until April 15.. 45 days later. Throughout that time, I was never proactively updated. I constantly had to call or text for updates, where I was given another excuse, or promised pickup date that would come and go. On multiple occasions, my messages were left on read. After I finally got my car back, I had it for only a few weeks before the same problem happened again. I was told to tow it back, and Max again said it would be ready "tomorrow," which it wasn't. After he "fixed" it the second time, two days later my coolant was completely empty again. When I contacted Max, he said "I don't know what's wrong with it." He refused to pay for a tow or rental and instead told me to slowly drive the vehicle to AutoZone with the windows down, buy coolant, refill it, and drive from Miami to Oakland Park. This is extremely unsafe and unacceptable advice for a vehicle that was overheating and losing coolant. Because the problem still wasn't fixed, I got a second opinion. On June 26, another dealership determined that the issue was still related to the engine. Since the engine was under warranty, I was forced to bring it back to Max. I asked Max if he would supply a rental and he responded with "Are you going to help us with labor since we're doing 26 hours of free labor?" The same cycle of delays and broken promises continued. I finally got my vehicle back on August 28 -- 64 days after dropping it off on June 26. This entire ordeal has cost me over $3,000 in rental fees alone, not including towing costs or the countless times I was left on the side of the road dealing with an overheating vehicle. I would not recommend this shop. The owner will tell you "I take care of you" but it's not true. He was dishonest and seemed to have no problem breaking promises and taking money. His own mechanics even told me he's unorganized, doesn't write anything down, and overcommits which is why things take WAY longer than he promises. This experience has cost me an unreasonable amount of time, money, and stress. Please go somewhere else.

Some of the workers there are very friendly but some of them are not very friendly. Some of them don't speak English (maybe this is why).
