She is absolutely wonderful!!! Excellent service and unmatchable talent with unbeatable prices! A very caring woman who takes the time to listen to what you want, give her expert advice, and match the tailoring to dress and body type. She did an amazing job on my wedding gown when every other place either quoted me for double her price or said they wouldn't touch the dress at all. A few places told me they wouldn't have enough time to work on my dress (all I needed was length taken off the bottom, which most places didn't want to touch because of the detail, and a bustle). She finished my dress in two weeks and even had time to take in my fathers pants in just a couple days. I went in thinking I just needed length taken off and the bustle, she gave a few other expert suggestions but did not push them on me but let me decide for myself and I'm so glad I took her advice. She switched the type of bustle I thought I needed, keeping the shade of my dress, flattering my body type, keeping it easier to walk. She also suggested we add hooks where the buttons on back are for more support, took the sleeves in a little, then added a string on the inside of my train so we could hang the dress easier (which even made it much easier to walk outside to take pictures!) Lastly, she took the time at both my fitting and dress pick up to show my mother how to get the dress on me easiest and how to bustle it. (She didn't have to take much length off, and wasn't sure she would have enough fabric to save from it for my florist to use on my flowers but found a way!) She is an angel, I wouldn't even consider going to anyone else for any alterations I need in the future, I would recommend her to anyone in need. What an aMAYzing Job! I'm going to be a bride at the end of August this year. I previously brought my dress to another seamstress who literally DESTROYED my dress. I was bawled many times, and became furious! I tried to take my business else where but nobody would even touch my dress because I had a special design at the waist of my dress, requiring much labor. Then I finally found May highly recommended by multiple colleagues and on yellowpage.com. She promised that I would be 110% satisfied, and she could have it ready in two days. By conversing with her, I learned that she has worked for over 30 years, in which she has worked in the sample room for collection lines in NYC. When the time came to pick up my dress, I was, if not more than, 110% satisfied. It was the dream dress! The price of my garment was very reasonable.
