October 31 - Visited website, immediate callback. Spoke with Julia (office manager) about laser treatment. Very helpful, personable, knowledgeable, had tips for me to help get the results I want. Made me feel very comfortable discussing unwanted body hair. November 11- first treatment, staff accommodating and friendly, professional and cleanly environment, spa-like atmosphere, easy check in and pay. First treatment with Chantel, very thorough and knowledgable, years of experience. Lots of communication during procedure, asked if I was okay and told me what she was doing throughout. What to expect: "Does it hurt?" Not that much! A cool gel is placed and then a warm sensation is felt. I imagined the laser penetrating deep into the skin and killing all of the bacteria during the 'warmer' parts (which it kinda does?) I had three areas done, so on the scale from least to most sensitive: Underarms were a breeze, lower legs very tolerable, and full Brazilian was not nearly as bad as I thought. Yes, there are a few zaps that hurt in that area, but WAXING HURTS so much more! (So if you can tolerate waxing in an area, I would imagine you could more than tolerate laser in that area.) Larry Blevins did such an amazing job on my lips! They look so natural and he really took his time to make sure everything was perfect. I was very nervous to get this done because I have a fear of needles. Larry was very patient and understanding of that and also got me an ice pack to cool myself down. And patiently waited until I was ready lol. And actually, I didn't feel a thing! After doing a lot of research, I found him and knew I was in the right hands because I have seen so many lips that look like they have been injected- and I did not want that. The women who worked here made me feel at ease and comfortable and Kylie (spelt Kilee or something like that) explained what she was doing each step of the way. They were very professional and the office was lovely. I really appreciated they didn't try to upsell me or prey on insecurities which I have heard is common at laser spas. My first visit with Divine Laser and Spa was for a facial hair removal treatment. I have been having laser services for more than 20 years to have hair removal from my entire legs, bikini area, under arms, facial hair and treatments for broken capillaries on my face and sun damage treatments for the whole face. I know some discomfort is very normal with hair removal as well as other laser treatments, however, I was very pleased with Divine Laser and felt very little discomfort even though the area around the lips and under the nose are extremely sensitive areas. I have used other laser facial hair removal services in the Ormond Beach to treat the same areas and the pain was so bad I was in tears. Thanks to Divine Laser I know I will be able to get rid of the unwanted hair on my upper lip and chin with minimal discomfort!
