She is…read morevery personable and carefully listened to my concerns, reviewed my imaging, and asked appropriate questions. We proceeded with a PRP injection, which I learned that there was actual homework/prep work for me to do BEFORE the treatment that the hip MD didn't even tell me about! Such things like stopping NSAIDs, drinking, fasting, etc. to help make the PRP injection more successful. I would not have known this if it weren't for Dr. Ferrante. The injection went smoothly and I experienced significant pain relief. I will return to do the other hip now that I know how successful it is. I know PRP injections are expensive, but definitely worth the price (insurance doesn't pay for them thru a MD anyways). She made me feel comfortable (as comfortable as you can- these injections are sore) thru out the procedure, and increased my trust by providing me with a lot of information about what to expect before/during/after, and of course following up. Of note, when I came in for a hip follow up, she noticed I had a wrist brace on, and took initiative to inquire about this new injury and brainstormed a special taping to help offload/support the area (again, something that the orthopedic PA didn't think about) which also provided more stability/less pain for my wrist. She offered another treatment option for it if occupational therapy didn't help. I highly recommend Dr. Ferrante, she takes the time to listen, thinks outside the box, keeps you well-informed, and offers effective solutions to your health concerns.

The supplements for hormonal acne and folic acid are much more effective than the prescription meds I was receiving from MDs. I was so pleased with my care that my son also became a patient. Dr. Ferrante and her entire staff are all so friendly and engaging. They respond quickly to correspondence. All my needs are met. Most importantly, I truly feel like Dr. Ferrante and her team listen to me. They don't just have their own preconceived plan for treatment. I am an active participant in the planning. Everyone is always genuinely kind and gracious. So thankful!

I honestly can't say enough good things about Phi Lan…read more I'm a veteran, and for years I dealt with constant back pain, monthly migraines, and other chronic issues. I had tried just about everything, and nothing really worked. After seeing Phi, my migraines are gone, my back pain is gone, and so many of my other issues have improved too. It honestly feels like a miracle. She's incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about her patients. If you're on the fence about trying acupuncture, I can't recommend Phi Lan enough.

After the course of treatment, I now only get them maybe once a month or two! A HUGE improvement if you ask me. One particular treatment where I had an active migraine, I could literally feel the pain leave my head as she moved the needles down to transition their flow (prickly sensation) to my feet- it was WILD. Not only did she help reduce my head pain and frequency significantly, but she always presented a very warm and welcoming environment. I'm not entirely a fan of needles, but she eased me into it, and ensured I was comfortable thru out the process (the heated bed helps). She always asked how each needle felt, if it needed more or less pressure, and offered to check in on me halfway thru the treatment. She also did some cupping, which was new to me, and help ease the tension coming down my neck and shoulders. Front desk staff are nice too, they remember you after a few treatments. Definitely recommend Phi Lan for any migraine treatment! She's the best!

Every Friday night feels like a sacred reset--and I truly wouldn't want to spend my evening anywhere else. Kaori's full moon sound baths with Reiki are especially powerful. The way she plays the crystal bowls and other instruments allows the sounds to radiate through my entire body. I can physically and emotionally feel the energy that no longer serves me melt away. Her peaceful presence and gentle spirit create a deeply safe and calming space where I can simply be--fully present, fully held, fully grounded. Laying under the stars on the beach, listening to the healing vibrations, has been life-giving. And the fact that Friday night sound baths are donation-based speaks volumes about the kind of heart-centered human Kaori is. She creates community with so much care and intention. I love, love, love Sound Healing Hawaii. It's an experience I would recommend to anyone needing restoration, clarity, or just a beautiful place to reconnect with themselves and the universe.

Best doctor I've ever had in my adult life. My pediatrician really was something special -- but in…read morea different way. It was time I found a "grown up" doctor, who could suit my new 'needs.' I tried out at LEAST 30.... And I never thought I'd find the one. I couldn't even get comfortable with a doctor!A GP is a big part of your life (remember this!) I tried to write it off like no big deal, I'm healthy and routine physicals are all I need.. Settling for sub par. After having an issue with a doctor who didn't want to work more than 10 hours a week (fine, but don't carry a full time patient load!), and having major issues getting a routine prescription - it was time.. And it was fate. First impression was GREAT! He was very interested in me -- sat and talked with me for over a 1/2 hour! Just asking me about my life, background.. Getting to know me. Now that I know him, he wanted to know me so he could treat me holistically, as a "whole person" and so he could provide the best possible care by getting the "whole picture." He would also become a confidant because that's just the kind of doctor he is. A few weeks after I started seeing him, I had a possible case of decompression sickness after SCUBA diving & piloting a plane shortly after.. I called him about it, maybe stopped by for a chat and he called me later that night when I was out to eat with my then boyfriend (now husband). Doctor P (as we lovingly call him) left me a voicemail around 7p-8p -- checking to see if I was OKAY (?!!!) This wasn't a big deal to me at the time.. I thought it was sweet. My husband pretty much flipped pancakes! Now that we are in the military medical care system, I completely understand why this was 'weird' or abnormal. My PCP on base barely knows my name, let alone my LIFE, let alone care much about my health, let alone take time out of her life -- off the clock -- to make sure I was okay. My husband started paying out of pocket to see him, because that's how great he is! My husband is not the type to pay out of pocket for medical care he could get for "free," but you cannot get this kind of quality anywhere! ESPECIALLY the military, and especially if you're active duty. And having chemistry with your doc is so important! You need to feel comfortable with them, because they NEED to know your whole life so they can give you the best treatment/advice. For me, I was fully covered under HMSA and my husband (who was boyfriend at the time) military-TRICARE prime. Doctor Podolny has enriched our lives. He is a great doctor -- but also counselor, mentor, friend ... And HEALER. We go to him -- now that we both have Tricare -- for counseling sessions. He has introduced us to Non Violent Communication practice, ROLFING (look into this! Doctor P is a certified Rolfer -- and a great one at that), sweat lodges (he built his own with some friends in pololo valley?) and opened our eyes to so much beauty & healing. He can take care of your health stuff like an Allopath, treat you with the bedside manner of a competent/loving friend, counsel you like a non-judge mental Buddha, and leave you feeling great after a Rolfing session -- like 1 million x better than a GREAT massage. He's also very well rounded. Into music, photography, Rolfing/sweat lodges, natural healing, NVC and most things personal development. And he will invite you to a sweat lodge, encourage your personal development and educate you about mind-body connection, Rolfing... And he will become a mirror so you can learn about YOU. He encouraged Rolfing for me (I don't think he brought it up with my husband, at least yet?) and it changed my life. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover Rolfing, so he sent me to a friend of his. Doctor P wasn't taking any new Rolfing patients, though I'm sure he would have worked me in. His friend was less expensive for me, at the time, and Dr. knew I would be more committed if it weren't too much of a financial stress. But by "work me in," I don't mean overload himself where the care of me & his other patients would be compromised. Never! He would lengthen his schedule (only far enough so he wouldn't burn out, because he understands if he is overworked, his patients are under cared for and our needs will not be met. Like, you gotta love yourself to love another.. You have to have yourself together to treat others.. And be well rested/fit enough to handle the demands of being a primary care doc/healer .. And that is what is life is about. Did I mention we now see him for counseling? My husband and I went through a few difficult times early in our relationship (family deaths, career transitions, etc) and Doctor P would talk to us on the phone, and console us like a wise friend/elder. I'm not trying to put him on a pedestal -- but he's as modern day shaman as you can get. Also, his adorable assistant Melissa, has become a friend of ours. She is absolutely professional and a joy! Her & Doctor Podolny make a great little practice.

Dr Podolny helped me with the pain, ordering PT, through which I found the best PT clinic East Oahu Physical Theraoy. Dr Podolny also does Rolfing & I did about 15 sessions with him. Dr Podolny has always been very compassionate, but also instructing me to be the captain of my own ship, so to speak. Dr Podolny recently referred me to an exercise method called Gyro Tonic. Over the past 11+ years, my pain has decreased & my bad posture has transformed. I still have pain, but it's not as intense & I don't have exacerbations as often. I'm still working on my posture. Dr Podolny has encouraged me to grow as a person while supporting my journey & always listening to my complaints. I hope he doesn't retire anytime soon.
