Title company totally lied to us saying they would do promissory note, but 4 days before closing on a Friday night is when they let me know that their legal department would not do it. Where do I start? I contacted this company August 24th to schedule a mobile notary to notarize 2 Wills for both my parents in Buckeye AZ -- the time was confirmed between 11:00 AM and 11:30 for Aug. 25th. By 11:40 AM , I called Sherlyta and asked what her ETA was as we had 2-non-related witnesses there waiting. She appeared to have forgotten from the quick silence and said she will call me back. Well 25 minutes later I called her again and she appeared to say she had an emergency. My parents are in their 90s waiting with witnesses -- this was totally unacceptable and inexcusable without even the courtesy of a phone call. I discontinued with her service in search of another notary. Sherlyta contacted me an hour an a half later as I was searching for another notary stating she could have another notary at my parents' house no later than 2:45 pm. I decided to give this service another chance. I informed her that 2:45pm was the absolute deadline as the grand kids had to be picked up from school. Well, at 3:15 PM there was no notary. I contacted Sherlyta again (twice) but no answer. I left her a text message and voicemail message venting my frustration and to contact whomever she was sending to cancel his trip because it was far too late. Instead this notary decides to show up at the house at 4 pm and was politely turned away by my sister--a far cry from 2:45pm. Actually, I'm quite glad it turned out this way because she was charging me $150 to notarize two individual Wills when other services I contacted were charging me half that amount (b/t $45 and $75). Essentially, I was able to get my parents' Wills notarized the following day for far less from a more liable and punctual notary service. Personally, this company wasn't deserving of the one star I gave it. They wasted my whole entire day. I rate them as awful!!! read more
