I lived at Foxwood Condos for almost two years. I was able to rent my unit - sight unseen - from…read morethe lower 48 with ease thanks to the leasing team at Foxwood! I had to relocate due to work but was very satisfied with my stay. Pros: - The heated garage space is a lifesaver in the winter, and it's great to have a personal (free) storage unit next to your parking spot. - I never felt unsafe as a single woman in these apartments, and it was generally very quiet in the neighborhood. I can only think of a few times where I could hear my neighbors at night or at inconvenient times. - The condos are right near a really nice paved trail system and a lake, and I saw foxes, moose, and eagles all from my apartment. - My unit had a balcony and a good sized fireplace which was cleaned regularly by the management team. - Maintenance is GREAT - I had several issues and they were right there with either new appliances (seriously, they just showed up with a new washing machine when mine was making a weird noise) or a solution to fix whatever was wrong. - The office is great and super responsive to texts and emails - I needed to break my lease and they helped me out by finding someone to fill the last month of my stay. - Rent is low for the amount of space you have Cons: - There are lots of smokers in the complex so depending on who your neighbors are, smoke can come through the vents - I bought a small air purifier and that seemed to do the trick. - Carpet is tough - mine took a few carpet shampooing sessions to smell clean, and my carpet was definitely stained when I moved in - I wish the kitchen was a bit bigger (not really room for more than one person) but it was okay since I lived alone. I loved my studio and it's location and never had issues with the unit. The building is also secure and locked with code access required. The rent stayed the same for the almost 6 years. The place was beautiful and a blessing when I moved to Alaska. I also loved being so close to the lake hood trail.

The outside is atrocious... The mailboxes have been broken into and can be peeled open by hand. The "lawn" outside the doorstep is dandelions that can range in length from one inch to one foot in length. Trash is strewn about near the dumpster. Hearing gunshots is not uncommon. And don't forget your drug addict "neighbors" who live in your carport, with a TV plugged into the block heater outlets, or a shopping cart; they regularly leave you presents, like used fentanyl foil or human excrement.

My experience with this company has been chaotic. They don't even have up-to-date information on…read morethe owners and/or renters. I've only been living in my condo for 6 months, which I own, and it's been a headache. The association hasn't helped me at all to solve anything. Since day one, I've had serious problems with a neighbor. She's made our lives miserable. She's called animal control 3 times. I asked the association for help to find out what I could do about this case or file a harassment complaint or something (they rent to someone). I sent videos and audio recordings of the harassment, and even then the association hasn't done anything to protect us. The condominium rules DO NOT PROTECT THE OWNERS and are ridiculous. The rules are silly. It's like someone was forced to write something for the boss to comply with, but they didn't even make an effort to do that. I am a new owner, I had no knowledge of anything regarding this association, right now I am going in to see the reviews and they are not wrong at all with having a mediocre rating, they do not even make an effort to pay attention to the people who live in one of their properties. When there are reasons to call to have some information or something related to my condominium, they always answer me as if I was calling to ask them for a favor, and no, rude lazy people answering the phone. Yesterday I made a call because they are going to change the porch on 4 or 5 condos and as a new owner, I want to have more information and know if I can be one of those people because my porch is already broken, they answered me in a very rude manner and with no desire to do their job, now that I think about it, every time I call the association I feel frustrated and very angry, they never know anything and worst of all they are not interested in knowing anything or doing anything. As an association they should be more careful and pay attention. To this day, I don't even know who the president of these condos is, and I don't want to call or ask for any information because maybe the next time I call, they'll hit me for wanting to know important things. What a mediocre association. All I think about is getting out of here, selling this condo, and buying somewhere quiet, with the peace and respect that every human being deserves and that they don't provide here. When I was renting, the landlord paid attention to everything, and I was just renting. Now that I've decided to buy, I regret this bad investment. I can't believe the association pays more attention and constantly sends complaints about an off-leash dog than about a person being verbally abused and harassed. This is ridiculous. I would like add the stupid letter the manager sent. Annoying

I have lived here for the past 2 1/2 years and have no complaints. They have gone through many different front office workers but that has nothing to do with how great the place is to live. While some people have left a negative comment about Alma, I can tell you know that she is the best at her job. Me and my neighbors love Alma and everyone that works there. You would have to be an a****** to really leave something so negative about someone that won't hurt a fly. Anyways, Foxwood Condominiums is Awesome :)

Some are glad to downsize and simplify their lives as they age, and for others, there is real grief and sadness in leaving a beloved home out of necessity due changes in health or finances. Either way you could not find a warmer more welcoming community. Lunch and dinner can be purchased in the dining room Monday through Friday at reasonable prices. Portions are generous, and a thrifty senior would probably have enough leftovers to last through the weekend. Social events are held regularly and are well attended. I particularly enjoyed the seated Tai Chi class on Monday and Wednesday at 4:15. Chester Park is intended for those still fully capable of independent living, but many of the residents are significantly impaired and are able to remain here with additional hired help such as a visiting nurse, physical therapist, or home health aide. Those requiring skilled nursing services or those with moderate to severe memory impairment would probably need to transition to assisted living or memory care.
