Leslie is THE BEST!! I've worked with agents in California and Alaska for both buying and selling…read more I've never worked with anyone as good as Leslie. She's incredible! I contacted her during COVID, months before I moved to Alaska. She answered me within an hour and after that, she kept in touch for months as I got ready to move. She spent a lot of time getting to know what I wanted. I arrived in the summer when the market was booming. Every agent in town was super busy, Leslie included. I knew that was happening and I had lowered my expectations. I was ready to do a lot of my own research and driving around. But Leslie had me seeing places the first weekend in town! She did a FANTASTIC job showing me places I might like. She never schmoozed me. She never tried to upsell me. Once we ran into another agent while seeing a place and he was a super schmoozy, slick kind of guy and it made me all the more grateful for Leslie's approach. When she showed me my place she said she thought I was going to like it--and sure enough, I loved it, and now it's mine. :) She knew exactly what I would love. The neighborhood, the price, the style, all of it. She remembered every little detail (for example--I wasn't interested in a townhouse or condo that didn't allow dogs). She walked me through the offer, counter-offers, loan, inspection, and more. She helped me get an early-occupy deal which I *really* wanted. When our first title company got delayed she found a new one! She didn't have to do that--it wasn't her fault the market was backed up. She would answer my texts at 10pm on Friday night, 9am Saturday, and everything in between. She knows a ton of people in Anchorage and she knows the town well. I hope to buy another place in a year or two and I wouldn't even consider using another agent!

Our family is so pleased with our new home in Eagle River, Alaska. My husband and I grew up in this little town but moved away after high school. We are excited to return here again with our children to begin a new adventure in this beautiful house. We were actually living outside of the U.S. in Estonia when we found out we were moving back "home". We weren't even sure if we'd be able to purchase a home without physically being in the country. But Rowena and Erika made it happen for us viewing lots and lots of homes for us. Being in a different time zone was a challenge but Rowena and Erika were always quick to respond to us via email and WhatsApp. It was a pleasure to work with such a knowledgeable and professional team. We are forever grateful to Rowena, Erika and team for helping us purchase the perfect house for our family.

The unit had been vacant for over 6 months prior to my move in and had not been cleaned. Despite this, per my lease agreement, I was required to hire a professional cleaner for the carpets and unit before moving out. I requested receipts or proof of cleaning from management, but they provided nothing. The unit also had no heat when I moved in, and the furnace was temporarily rigged instead of properly repaired. Later, the blower failed, taking over three months to replace. I also went about three months without a working washer and dryer, and there was visible mold on the curtains which I replaced. Keep pictures and records of everything! Maintenance requests were often canceled, and repairs required landlord approval, causing long delays. This was one of the worst rental experiences I've had. Future renters should be aware of these ongoing maintenance and management issues.

My son rented a property managed by Real Property Management Last Frontier for two years. During…read morethat time, they consistently ignored his maintenance concerns. However, when he moved out, they charged him for repairs which he had previously reported and that were never addressed. Some of the charges were questionable, yet he was denied access to any photos or documentation of the alleged damage. To make matters worse, my son is in the military and had been relocated out of state at the time of this dispute, making it difficult for him to contest the charges in court in Alaska. So he had no choice but to give them his money. I believe this company took advantage of his situation, and I fear that other tenants may face similar treatment. I strongly caution anyone considering renting from this company.

Honest Review of Nova Property Management (Anchorage, AK)…read more I've lived here for about four months, and I want to share an honest and fair experience. Communication with the Nova office can be very difficult -- phone calls often go unanswered or you're kept on hold with no response. Some staff members, like Christopher, have been dismissive and difficult to work with. When I reported serious maintenance and safety issues, I felt ignored or spoken to in a way that was unprofessional and lacking empathy. However, the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 1 is because of Sally. If you ever need help from Nova, ask specifically for Sally. She is professional, respectful, and gets things done. She listens, follows through, and treats tenants like real people. If it weren't for her, I would have given this place half a star and advised others to stay away. Sally is the only person who made me feel heard and supported. She made sure repairs were completed and showed true care for tenants -- and that deserves recognition. I genuinely hope Nova understands how valuable she is to their company. In summary: Communication with management needs improvement Some staff, like Christopher (the property manager) , are dismissive and not tenant-focused Sally is the reason I stayed and the reason this review is 4 stars, not 1 Thank you, Sally -- you are the difference.

It's clear the staff is knowledgeable and actually cares about doing their job. It's refreshing to work with a property management company where the people truly make the experience positive. I would like to confidently recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and respectful property management team to look at Nova Property Management.

So that meant we had to shop for a new home. We weren't happy about it especially since the leasing market wasn't great at all during this time. But we lucked out and ended up with a really awesome home and new property manager who is pretty darn awesome as well. But the sad news is now we don't have Carrie at Ak Group Property Management anymore. She's just truly amazing. She gave us our entire security deposit back with no hesitation at all and most landlords from what I've heard from other people usually don't give it back, so I can confidently say she is profesional, fair for both tenant and owner, responsible, responds to requests instantly, and always cares about her tenants as if they were family. It never really felt like she was a landlord. She just genuinely cares. Such a sweet honest person. It was our pleasure leasing from her and we would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

All was well until the agent discovered I require a seeing-eye dog for mobility. They deliberately misrepresent the property and process to scam victims, to separate people from their money for a product that does not exist. There were multiple crimes committed in this interaction. I have saved all communications and will do anything I can to keep them from preying on more unsuspecting people.

We were initially told that cats were allowed, but when we later tried to confirm and move forward, we were told otherwise. This contradiction created unnecessary stress and made planning extremely difficult. I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and not relying on verbal confirmations. As someone in the military, stability and clear communication are especially important when it comes to housing. Unfortunately, that consistency wasn't there, which made the situation more difficult than it needed to be. Toward the end of the lease, we received a non-renewal notice without any explanation, despite following the lease terms. While they may not be required to give a reason, the lack of transparency reflects poorly on how tenant relationships are handled. Move-out expectations are very strict, including mandatory professional carpet cleaning and specific vendor restrictions, which can add unexpected costs if you're not fully prepared. The property itself was okay, but the overall experience with management was disappointing. Between the inconsistent policies and communication issues, I would be cautious about renting through them and would advise future tenants to document everything carefully.

I've only been living in my condo for 6 months, which I own, and it's been a headache. The association hasn't helped me at all to solve anything. Since day one, I've had serious problems with a neighbor. She's made our lives miserable. She's called animal control 3 times. I asked the association for help to find out what I could do about this case or file a harassment complaint or something (they rent to someone). I sent videos and audio recordings of the harassment, and even then the association hasn't done anything to protect us. The condominium rules DO NOT PROTECT THE OWNERS and are ridiculous. The rules are silly. It's like someone was forced to write something for the boss to comply with, but they didn't even make an effort to do that. I am a new owner, I had no knowledge of anything regarding this association, right now I am going in to see the reviews and they are not wrong at all with having a mediocre rating, they do not even make an effort to pay attention to the people who live in one of their properties. When there are reasons to call to have some information or something related to my condominium, they always answer me as if I was calling to ask them for a favor, and no, rude lazy people answering the phone. Yesterday I made a call because they are going to change the porch on 4 or 5 condos and as a new owner, I want to have more information and know if I can be one of those people because my porch is already broken, they answered me in a very rude manner and with no desire to do their job, now that I think about it, every time I call the association I feel frustrated and very angry, they never know anything and worst of all they are not interested in knowing anything or doing anything. As an association they should be more careful and pay attention. To this day, I don't even know who the president of these condos is, and I don't want to call or ask for any information because maybe the next time I call, they'll hit me for wanting to know important things. What a mediocre association. All I think about is getting out of here, selling this condo, and buying somewhere quiet, with the peace and respect that every human being deserves and that they don't provide here. When I was renting, the landlord paid attention to everything, and I was just renting. Now that I've decided to buy, I regret this bad investment. I can't believe the association pays more attention and constantly sends complaints about an off-leash dog than about a person being verbally abused and harassed. This is ridiculous. I would like add the stupid letter the manager sent. Annoying
