They raise the rent EVERY year. $600 in 5 years. Elevator doesn't work most of the time. Does have a garage, but stuff gets stolen out of there on the regular. Had a lot of vacancies, then most got filled. Now more and more people leaving again... is it bc of the elevator (or at least in part?), the high price of rent? Who knows. read more

There is a lot to say about this place. I love it. Super convenient location, amenities are fantastic. They have a lot of floor plans available, 3 gyms located within the complex, underground heating parking, stainless steel appliances, updated granite countertops, locked/secured entry, emergency maintenance staff, pet friendly... i mean what more can you ask for? We lived here back in 2006, and we loved it. Now that we are back, we are here again, we were looking for a place online before we got here , and we kept comparing everything to Admials Cove so we basically decided to go with what we knew was awsome... and let me say, that it's even better now. Eddie is absolutely amazing, he is the BEST as are his entire staff. They work as a cohesive team to get things done, and since my return to Admirals Cove, they have gone above and beyond to make the moving in experience less stressful and expedited. You might find a lower priced apt out there in Anchorage, but when you look at the features and the location, and factor in everything it's very reasonable for the lifestyle you want and deserve. If you are active duty, you definitely need to come check this place out before you run like a sheep to base housing. read more

I'll start by saying how much I love Eddie! He was so helpful and anytime I ran into him was like running into an old friend. The maintenance guys here are awesome too and will help out with whatever you need. They're also really good about the upkeep(keeping the halls clean, and walkways/parking lot clear of ice) as well. The apartments are super nice compared to anything else you'd find in Anchorage. There's a fireplace, heated garage, and you have to have a key card to get in so it's pretty secure (aside from people propping open the doors) and the intercom used to buzz the apartments from the entrance has a camera so you see who's outside. Admiral's Cove was a suggestion to me from one of the other Weider property managers. This place was clean, spacious, good amount of space for storage, very much modern and even had heated garage and a fireplace ... a luxury for Alaska winters. Downfall of mine was: The semi awkward layout and really high bar. It's proximity to other neighbors. And the noise pollution to the main road. It's cost might have been a bit up there, but in Anchorage, you certainly get what you pay for. This was a solid second or third on my list of places to rent from. read more

Property is very nice. The leasing officers are really nice and maintenance is usually on top of every if anything goes wrong within your apt condo. They have heated garages for your car and all apt condos are a two bedroom floor plan. They keep up with the property so you can gaurantee that of you do choose to get an apt condo here! read more

The apartments are spacious, nice kitchen, with plenty of cabinet space. The place is very clean, the staff is very nice; Eddie, the Director, is very friendly and always helpful, and the maintenance staff is quick to respond to a request. I would not live here. The apartments are incredibly hot year round, during the heat wave I literally could not get off the floor. Our daughter had a heat rash at a couple weeks old even though the heat was turned off in our apartment and it was December. We even had maintenance in our apartment complaining about how hot it was at one point, like I had my heat turned on. It's either way too cold, or way too hot, there's never a comfortable medium. Our dishwasher broke because when they built the apartments they punctured the water lines with nails and they just wait for the nails to rust and water to leak through the floors before doing anything. (Words from maintenance's mouth) So I was without a dishwasher or hot water for over 2 weeks, the housing manager never even acknowledged it. When I asked for a discount since I didn't have a functional apartment she just never called me back. Maintenance closes out work orders without ever even entering your apartment. They never did anything about the water damage to the apartment below us. (hello black mold?!?) Military is finally catching wind of this and not moving in, which is causing them to start offering incentives to get us to convince people to move here. My neighbors will tell me with excitement that they finally get to move back onto base, because that's considered better then this. The apartments are dark and gloomy if you're facing the green belts. They tell you that you only pay gas and electric, but they charge you for all utilities in your rent, and they mislabel everything, so you don't actually know what you're paying. Upon move in; Ashley told me my sink just had enamel erosion, but it was actually paint that had been poured all over my sink. When I asked her to fix it, they came and sanded it which sent it every where, covering my dishes in paint particles I still cannot get off. When I asked them to replace those dishes they ignored me. They they proceeded to spray paint my sink again causing my apartment to fill with toxic fumes while I was pregnant, and did not warn me. When it started to bubble and peel, they took months to give me a new sink. I could go on about all the ways these apartments are awful, but I think you all get the point. The amount of money we pay is disgusting for the quality of housing they provide. Luxury my ass, I thought I was getting a gem moving in here, but it's become yet another nightmare. I would rather live in a studio apartment with my family of 3 and save money, then waste our BAH here. Just don't do it. read more

We have lived at AC Apts for over 2 years now and it is a great place to live. Radiant heat in the floors. If you live on the far end, you get views of the mountains to the East. Utilities are reasonable and having a gas fireplace and stacking washer/dryer in unit is awesome, you also get one space in the heated main garage. Don't store stuff in the garage though since it's a common area, and can't be really secure since people go in and out of there all the time. The buildings are secure though. There are very few cons to living here! But there are a few and I will list here: 1)high turnover of residents since you are so close to base. But it's nice having so many nice, responsible soldiers nearby. The rowdy ones don't stick around, it's too expensive to be a "military frat house" like some places close to base might be. Mostly married couples. But don't expect to know your neighbors really. 2) although there is a digital key-carded main entry, other doors into the building are frequently left propped. It can't be truly secure with that kind of irresponsibility of the residents. For this and other reasons, the USPS will NOT leave packages at your door, usually neither will UPS or FedEx. We get around this somewhat by having all mail that we know will come as a package delivered to our work. Annoying, but not nearly as much as waiting and waiting for 90-120 minutes at the nearest post station which is the worst, slowest, most ghetto post office I have EVER been in. They hardly ever have more than 1 clerk at the counter and when they do, that only means they will work even slower if that's possible. Awful post office. And if you are used to the leasing office accepting packages on your behalf at other apt complexes where you have lived, it's not the case here. 3) I don't personally consider this a con but some might so I'm putting it. They do allow pets in the building up to 40lbs. And people who are stupid will break the poundage rule occasionally but they don't stay too long, once they are caught they are gone. The "rule" is up to 2 furry pets and up to a total of 40 lbs. 4)There is very little storage unless you pay extra for a 3rd floor unit with the vaulted ceilings which also has storage shelves built in. There are no rentable storage places elsewhere on property. 5) I don't know whether to put this as a pro or con. Depends on your furniture situation I guess. There is a high breakfast bar to eat at, but really there is no dining room area unless you want to squeeze in a tiny table somewhere. It's not really a family-friendly floor layout though. Living room is long and narrow, TV really has to go over the fireplace and woe to you if you have bigger than a 42". Odd angles in how you have to lay out furniture in the living room. But we do fit a sofa, a full size recliner, and a chair with ottoman in the living room. We could have a coffee table if my husband weren't such a gamer but we need to have speakers and a gaming chair in the middle of the room ;). 6) you only get one heated parking spot... Period. Your other car/vehicle must sit out in the cold and there are NO outside outlets to plug in a block heater :( Other pros: they plow frequently in the winter, the parking lot has been passable every day except one since we've lived here. Maintenance is awesome and will fix things if you report them, but won't if you don't! You do have to be a "squeaky wheel". If something somehow slips through the cracks, keep asking. The apts are fairly new. Office staff (as mentioned) is excellent (can't say enough how great they are!!) but there aren't any official weekend hours. All units are 2BR, 2BA, which is a pro by itself. Units are just shy of 1100 sqft. read more

I normally don't take the time to write reviews but I felt like I needed to share how much I love living here. Not only are the apartments beautiful they are also pet friendly which is so hard to find in anchorage. I love the new office staff they are so much more involved with the people & the property. They even started pet of the month! I love the new manager she even took the extra time to help me carry packages I ordered out to my car so I wouldn't have to make several trips! I really appreciate great customer service & would highly recommend living here. read more

We lived at this complex for over three years and thank goodness we left. The first year was actually pretty nice. We had wonderful neighbors who were courteous and considerate. The residents we met were primarily military officers, so it worked nicely in the social framework. However, after that initial year, things began trending down. The first issue became the residents moving into the complex. We had the police called on our building multiple times that year with reports of domestic abuse. Needless to say, yelling and screaming of obscenities is not something you want to hear in the evening. Next was the general disregard for the property and other residents. Other occupants began throwing parties late into the evenings from Thursday through Saturday, left trash in the hallways and the most horrendous was the messes and poop left in the yard AS WELL AS THE HALLWAYS leading to the outside areas. After these instances became a regular occurrence and no action was taken by management, we decided to pack our bags. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like they have gotten any better because friends still in this complex have told us about the parking lots being covered in ice without salt or gravel, mattresses and televisions on the ground by the dumpsters, residents hopping the fences to their homes in the complex behind this one and boats being stored in the parking lots. For the management, I'll say this, if you want to charge someone rent compared to the market value of a semi-luxurious condominium complex, you better have the ability to deliver on it with grounds and occupants. read more
