I've had the pleasure of working with Brandon over the last year, specifically with helping me during our company's IPO and the impact on company equity. Brandon was very helpful in providing guidance on selling strategies and gave me a plan to prepare for this recent tax season. Over the year, we also worked on a comprehensive financial plan and even went through important aspects of a first home purchase. Brandon and Diversifi Capital are very easy to work with and provide you with customized content based on your financial planning needs. I highly recommend them! read more

We were so lucky to find Alfred and his team at Diversifi. After years vetting various planners and advisors, we were constantly in sticker shock at the price of hiring someone to help manage your money. I love their subscription pricing system as it allows for a monthly payment and relationship build over time, vs a huge lump sum payment that really makes you take a pause. It's pretty brilliant. The team is highly responsive and you can see they have high integrity. I just love this. Onboarding is a challenge if you have many accounts that need to be catalogued, but I have faith they'll improve the process & tools. They offer financial education via video tutorials if that's your thing, but it's not a requirement. The actual consults are organized, efficient, and down to earth in terms of financial vocab. Overall, we're very please and looking forward to working with them for many months to come. Highly recommend! read more

We have been working with Brandon for the past year and it has been an absolute pleasure. Brandon helped get my wife and I started with looking at our overall financial situation, giving us advice on consolidating our assets, reviewing our insurance coverage, setting up proper stock allocation, dealing with selling stocks, preparing for taxes and many more things. Walking through all this information and talking it over with a financial advisor really helped us understand a different way of looking at our financials. Being able to see where we stand w.r.t our risk tolerance and financial models was also very insightful. No question is a dumb question with Brandon. He helped answer many of my questions, sometime over and over again until I understood. Being able to shoot emails to validate our thinking or to get a different point of view is very useful as well. Additional resources like their online courses and Nathan's weekly highlights are also great! Again, its been wonderful working with Brandon and I highly recommend DiversiFi Capital's services. read more

I highly recommend working with Diversifi and, specifically, Brandon. My wife and I have worked with Brandon for two years, taking a holistic approach; Brandon has created a clear financial plan aligned with our life goals. Throughout the journey, he has helped us understand the tactical steps needed to execute the financial plan, i.e., rebalancing, investments, budgeting, taxes, and stock purchases. Brandon is a trusted advisor to us and someone who has significantly improved our financial management and education. read more

I've been working with Alfred for several years now. He was my financial advisor while he was still working at Dragon Financial, when he told us that he was going to be moving to Compass Captial, we did not hesitate to join him with the transition. When I first started working with Alfred, I had been out of college for a couple years. Alfred helped walk me through core financial concepts to help get the foundation set. This included, 401k investments, ESPP management, setting up a Roth IRA, setting up a holographic will, advanced health care directive, and even a fire safe for important documents. Some of these things even if I knew was a good idea (e.g. fire safe), it helped to have someone keep me honest and make sure that I followed through with the steps. When my wife and I got married, he helped us sort through combining our finances (our decision), and also helped my wife and me figure out what sort of insurance we should get in order to protect each other. He has also worked with us on longer term goals (new home purchase, rental properties), and helped us map out a strategy, both saving and investing to give us a path to reach those goals. In the past few years, when friends have asked about what we do for financial planning, I never hesitate to recommend them to talk to Alfred. He has helped us tremendously, and I look forward to continuing to work with him in the future. read more

I was referred to Diversifi Capital by my trusted friend and colleague (ex-boss). I have been working in the tech industry for over 15 years and this was the first time I had to make some serious investment decisions about a significant amount of equity that I had accrued. I made an appointment, and like usual, didn't follow up and had way too much going on to make it a priority. They were just very accommodating, patient, and focused on supporting me making the right decisions that were best for me. We were even on a tight timeline because my vested equity was scheduled to expire. In any case, I'm grateful to say that I feel very taken care of and heard working with Brandon at Diversifi Capital. He has a very calming, nurturing way of working with me that has me immediately feel comfortable and at ease. Which I completely appreciate. Making big financial decisions can be very confronting and emotional, but I felt really at ease and comfortable being 100% honest with what I was dealing with. My advisor, Brandon was so kind and understanding. I can see myself being a client at Diversifi for hopefully many many more years to come. read more

Nate has been my financial adviser for several years now and I highly recommend him. If you are looking for someone who is passionate about bringing their expert understanding of how to achieve financial success, Nate is your guy. If you are looking for someone who can adapt to your individual personality and habits to positively influence your financial decisions and actions with thoughtful intervention, then you should connect with Nate at Compass CMG. Nate has taken the time to understand my ever evolving personal goals and aspirations. He assesses these against the big picture to bring me an overarching strategy to achieve my financial goals including tactics for success, and risk mitigation. Nate has consistently added value each time we connect. His efforts do not stop after I invest my time to speak with him and instead Nate is persistently working to improve my success; he researches my very far-fetched questions to deliver new insights, he follows up with me on action items I should complete, he digs deeper to learn the nuances of my various company benefits, accounts, and financial plans and he applies his deep understanding of these things to maximize what is most advantageous for my situation and he does all of these things in a sincere way that shows he cares. If you've been searching for the BEST financial adviser around town (or anywhere in the world via Skype/phone), then choose Nate! read more

I was a client of Nathan's when he was over at Dragon Financial years ago, and because that went so well, I practically stalked him online to find out that he was at Compass Capital Mgmt - and I'm glad I did. I needed to have another financial "health check" with him and the outcome of that was fantastic. I walked out feeling incredibly confident about my upcoming financial goals, and Nathan even built a financial model in excel for me to use on my own. I'm more confident in how I build my wealth thanks to Nathan and Compass Capital Management Group. read more

It's been awesome having Alfred as my financial planner! I started working with him about 3 years ago, and he's helped me so much during this time. He's very knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain concepts to you thoroughly. He's adept at giving both high-level strategic advice as well as more specific and tactical action items. Whenever I have a concern that pops up, he's been my safety net. He's super responsive, and it's comforting to have him as a thought partner. Over the years that I've worked with Alfred, he's saved me thousands of tangible dollars in tax return mistakes he's caught and in employment negotiations he's advised on. I look forward to our meetings because I'm always learning something new from him! read more

My mother and I have worked with Nate since 2013 (at another firm) and we were so attached to his patience and skill that we followed him when he decided to open his own company. He clearly knows his stuff. He has a holistic approach to money management which takes into consideration every aspect of our financial lives and is eager to tutor us on how to achieve our goals while bringing to our attention issues we may not have considered including creating a safety net and being aware of tax consequences. He works on a percentage basis of your portfolio rather than on commission so he is not beholden to any outside investment entity. Because of this approach I can see that his decisions are tied to our best interests (because they are also his). He takes the time to understand what our risk tolerance is and has some impressive diagnostic models to show how we are likely to do given thousands of market scenarios far into the future. From what I know of his background he has a personal mission to keep his clients safe from bad financial outcomes while making the most of investment options. Combined with his ethical approach to investments (he screens stocks through both an environmental and social justice filter) I have every confidence in Nate's advice and have grown to think of him as an important component of my advisory team. Just in the short time I've known him I feel that he takes a genuine interest in our well being and our lives. While his staff are also very attentive to follow through of transactions in every detail. You could not go wrong having Nate on your team. read more

There's not enough good things that I can say about Compass Capital and their team. They are extremely professional and proactive about making sure your financial health is taken care of. Nathan is extremely knowledgeable and has been able to guide me through 401k, investment accounts, tax review, purchasing a home and even planning for my upcoming wedding. Raymond is an investment guru and has been able to build me several portfolios with varying levels of risk to reach my goals. The team truly care about their clients, respond extremely quickly to emails and are available ad-hoc when life happens. After many years being their customers and referring several friends, I'm happy to tell anyone "I got a guy" when it comes to financial advice. Oh and best of all we meet via Skype or phone mostly so I don't need to take the trek from San Jose up to Redwood City. read more

Recently I've come across a nice sum of money that I wanted to invest. Not having a clue on how to move forward or where to start, I reached out to Nate from Compass Capital to help guide this process. From the beginning Nate has been incredibly responsive to my questions (as I had quite a few!) and has always been so patient in discussing and explaining all of my options. For someone who's never dealt with this sort of matter, it puts me at ease knowing that I can rely on Nate to be available when I need. Nathan has been our financial advisor since the time from another firm before he formed his own. With no hesitation whatsoever, if not delighted, we continued to engage him for all of our financial planning needs. Raymond, also a partner at the firm, is excellent as well. They are an "A team" and we are thrilled to have them take care of our financial portfolio, in addition to estate planning, wills, trusts, tax planning.. the whole works! Nathan is super knowledgeable in the financial domain, professional yet personable, very responsive, and an overall great financial coach! Over the years, Nathan has educated us in various aspects of personal finance. He can effectively articulate how every step we work on can build towards the bigger, broader goals. We also like the various tools and applications they employ to aid in the planning models. We HIGHLY recommend Compass Capital Mgmt Group to anyone looking for a great financial planner! read more

I recently started working with Nathan and am thrilled with his services. In addition to doing an outstanding job with managing my assets, he is responsive to my ad-hoc emails and questions, provides practical financial planning advice, and takes the time to contextualize his guidance to help me learn and understand basic frameworks. Additionally, I am grateful for the fact that Nathan is thorough but efficient--he balances empathy with professionalism--I never feel like just a 'client' but am always confident in his attention to the fact that my finances are his business. Lastly, Nathan's Associate (Raymond) is equally professional, responsive, and helpful. This, combined with Compass Capital's easy-to-use online platform and Skype sessions, makes it convenient and reliable to manage my finances 'from the road'--always feeling secure with whom I'm speaking with and where I'm sharing my information. I've now recommended Compass Capital to a few friends and everyone that has started work with Nathan and Raymon have equally glowing reviews. read more

Nathan was highly recommended by one of my colleagues so I started working with him about a year ago and I have been nothing short of impressed by his professionalism, attention to detail, and patience. He's always there when I need him and I feel confident that he has our best interests in mind when he's advising us. He's a true fiduciary. My wife and I have been with Alfred Au for years when he was with Dragon Financial. As soon as he told us he was leaving and going to Compass Capital Management Group, we did not hesitate following him over. Alfred has played a huge part in our financial planning and well being (both short term and long term goals), What we really appreciate about him is that he really listens and understands what our needs are. Alfred is upfront, honest, and realistic about our individual situation. He does not try to sugar coat or tell you what you want to hear which we have always appreciated. With Alfred, we are confident that we are making the right decisions together. Shout out to Raymond Vo as well. He was also with Dragon as our client services manager. Really glad he is now with Compass Capital as well. Both have been nothing short of stellar. Talk about great customer service...always prompt, patient, courteous, dependable and concise. We cannot recommend them enough! We definitely feel like they have our best interest in mind which is what you want in the financial arena. We recently purchased our dream home (a long time coming) and Alfred and Raymond were with us every step of the way! We couldn't have done it without them. Thanks guys!! read more

I became a client of Compass shortly after they opened and have been working with both Raymond and Nathan. I was looking for a financial service to help me plan for my future while looking at my retirement and wasn't sure where to start. My friend, who is familiar with financial planning, referred me to Compass. I was blown away by the responsiveness and how comfortable Raymond made me feel during the initial stages of paper signing. Nathan has been phenomenal, providing non-judgmental advice on where to best maximize my money, while going over my budget for the past year to see where I could re-direct funds. I have heard some horror stories from other co-workers about their financial advisers from other places (sometimes big banks like Merrill Lynch) and was afraid of taking this step of asking someone else to oversee my money, but thankfully this partnership is anything but that. Even though I only have quarterly meetings with Nathan, he and Raymond are very responsive and keep in contact with me through e-mail and by phone. Nathan is very knowledgeable, gives great advice, & makes complicated financial jargon simple for me to understand. He goes over every detail of my portfolio and is there for me every step of the way. Thanks to Nathan I've gotten a start on investing my money and saving towards buying my first home. read more

I was thrilled to discover that Nathan was starting his own firm, as he was my most trusted and competent advisor at his previous firm. I began working with Nathan shortly after my spouse died. His counsel has literally changed my life, making me richer in finances as well as in other ways. He has educated me in ways that make complex things understandable, as well as encouraged me when I did not think I would succeed. Deciding to work with Compass Capital Management Group is the best financial decision we've made. As newlyweds, we had combined our finances and were new to financial planning. We really needed help organizing our budget and planning for our future family. It has been a year since we first hired Compass Capital Management Group. Not only have they helped us spend wisely, but we also learned so much from them! We really enjoy working with Nathan, Jared and Lily. We could tell they cared about us and wanted to educate us so that eventually we can do this all on our own. We value their patience and attention to detail and flexibility, especially Lily who helped us with our worksheets. With us being remote employees in Washington, we love that we can email, call, and do web meetings! Nathan's team has helped us buy and sell our 1st home, buy our 2nd home, lease our 2nd car, and many more milestones. His team has been there for us throughout all the crucial decisions in our lives. I have been working with Nathan for nearly 5 years now, and it's been the most educational and rewarding experience I have had to date with a financial adviser. When he founded Compass Capital Management Group, I moved my business to his new firm with no hesitation primarily due to the excellent combination of financial planning and educational services he's continuously provided. He has always been incredibly responsive, and his financial guidance has been fantastic, even when I opt not to implement certain recommendations. I highly recommend him and his team to anyone seeking sound financial advice and education. read more

We met Nathan several years ago at his previous employer, and when we heard he branched out on his own, it was an easy decision to hire his services with Compass Capital. We could not be happier with the guidance we have received. Nathan is always there for any financial advice we need, from leasing a car, preparing a trust, or financing our remodel. When presented with a question, he takes time to consider all the angles and then provides us with options, describing thoroughly the pros and cons of each in language we can understand. He'll have punched a few numbers, maybe created a spreadsheet, or done research and summarized his findings. We feel so taken care of with Nathan and his team and have time and again found his advice to be sound and wise. He provides us with investment strategies and keeps an eye on our various accounts, something we don't have the time nor expertise to do on our own. The piece of mind we have knowing Nathan is watching over our finances and is there if we need him is invaluable. We probably do not have as deep of pockets as most of Compass Capital's clients, yet we have received nothing less than total respect and always feel we are given the time and consideration we need. And finally, Nathan and his team, besides being incredibly bright, are all just so nice! Where you hang up after a call with Nathan thinking, wow I like this person! Great rates, great personalities, sharp as heck, and so good at what they do, what more can I say! read more

In your 20's you don't typically consider the long-term in regards to your financial future, at least I didn't. Starting my career I had very little financial knowledge, for example a traditional IRA vs. a Roth IRA, but working with Nate and his team has taught me a lot. They are very patient and are willing to make the extra effort to ensure you understand each financial topic that we're tackling. They do not try to force your hand at all and make the otherwise uncomfortable process very relaxing. They also make themselves readily available and are very prompt with responding to questions or concerns you may have. Personally, I can have a tendency to impulse purchase which is why it is so vital for me to have someone I trust behind my greater financial future, and I really can't say enough about how much Nate and his team have helped me work towards that future. I highly recommend reaching out to him and at least giving him a few minutes of your time. read more

I've been working with Nathan from Compass for about 2 years now. His service excellence is astounding. The team at Compass is extremely responsive and has helped me in many occasions outside of work hours. Nathan really takes the time to understand what my goals are and then helps me work through and learn paths to get there. He has never pressured me to buy any products or services and is extremely professional/ethical. He provides guidance to me on almost anything I have questions about; in some cases even beyond what he manages for me e.g. questions about remodeling and insurance for remodeling. His team is very diligent and really helps me keep on track as I am always very busy. They make the burden on me as light as possible. The services Nathan, Raymond, and their associates provide are unique, individualized, and comprehensive, while carefully crafted for busy people to implement. My partner and I first met Nathan several years ago, when he was our advisor at another firm. We were so impressed with Nathan's work that we followed him to Compass Capital when he founded it. Nathan is extremely knowledgeable, ethical, and patient. He has always taken the time to listen to our desires and goals. We truly appreciate his commitment to environmentally and socially responsible investing. And we have always been very satisfied with the performance of our investments, in spite ups and downs in the market as a whole. Nathan's associate Raymond handles all of the "paperwork" (which is actually done electronically, making it far less of a headache). Raymond is incredibly detail oriented. We know we can count on him to follow through. In fact, he has never once dropped a single ball. There is a great level of trust required to involve someone in your finances, and we absolutely have this trust in Nathan and Compass Capital. We have recommended him to numerous friends, family members, and colleagues. We warmly and wholeheartedly recommend him to you, too. read more

We've been working with Nathan for over a year, and could not be happier with the services. We do all of our calls on Skype, which also helps us. We get that in-person feel, without having to be physical in the same place (which is great since we live abroad).
