It was not possible for me to cancel in-person or by registered mail, as I was incapacitated and in the hospital for a substantial period of time. Customer rep was completely unsympathetic to my circumstances. The business claims its goal is to "deliver legendary customer service," though apparently that means legendarily bad service. The business needs to revisit whatever misguided policy forbids customers from cancelling by phone.

I declined, knowing how contracts can suck you dry. My sister, on the other hand, loves all of the equipment they offer, including a variety of classes. So, naturally, she joined up in Calgary. Two years later she found herself wanting to move back home and looking to terminate her contract with GoodLife. The staff make some crack about "good luck staying fit" and she has to pay $100 to cancel besides! I expected better treatment, especially since she was such a loyal customer for so long, and you can't always control your circumstances. If you have a choice, I would go to the other fitness centers - there's plenty in town.

I had been paying $42 a month, management then said if I could show proof that I was paying this rate they would honour it. I printed off my bank statement proving that I was paying $42 a month and had to go into show them, which I thought was already asking a lot of one of their members. Later that day I was told over the phone that they would not honour the rate that I had previously been paying. My girlfriend and I had been paying $84 a month for the both of us. I can't see why a couple would want to spend $130 a month on such a small poorly managed gym. Do yourself a favour and try any other gym than this one

They do not offer any drop-in visits and all members access the gym using a key fob. The desk is staffed during limited hours but I've often encountered staff their outside the designated times. The whole experience is very convenient. Since you have a fob, there is no checking in at the desk. You just walk right into the locker room. I'm impressed with how clean this place stays considering patrons are on the honour system and staff aren't always available Compared to other gyms in the area, Ladies Only has the lowest monthly rate by far. Granted, it is much smaller than places like TCC or the YMCA so there are fewer machines and they don't have a pool. However, I don't like swimming and I've never had to wait for a machine here like I often do at the larger gyms. Ladies Only offers a few classes that are included in your monthly membership fee. These include yoga, spin, boot camp, and more. My only complaint about this is that most of the classes run during the day so it can be tough for someone who works full time to make it to any of them. I've only had the opportunity to go to one boot camp and it was sooooo intense but lots of fun. I'd definitely want to go back if I have the opportunity.
