As a chronic pain sufferer, I am always looking for new ways to treat my condition. I knew very…read morelittle about acutonics, but heard it described as an acupuncture-like treatment and thought 'why not'! WELL. What an absolute treat this was. Audrey, the practitioner, used sound to work on my body (this is not something I could have imagined!), and just...wow. She would activate tuning forks, with beautiful sounds coming out, then hold them to specific pressure points on me to let the sound reverberate through my body. It felt incredible. I didn't want the treatment to end, and when it did, I said, "okay, I have to come back! When are you next available". I wanted to come back the same week, but she suggested I wait and see how the treatment had effected me before returning in a week. So, today is the day (one week later) and I'm excited for my next session. I also am curious to try her heated salt water pool, sauna, and sound bathing sessions. I feel I've stumbled down a magical rabbit hole and I can't wait to see what else is in store here.

I came here with my husband and some friends to hit some golf balls on the driving range on a…read moreholiday Monday. Mt. Paul golf course offers a 9 hole par 32 course. Their driving range has 20 covered stalls on ground level, and 10 stalls on the upper deck. We didn't have any golf clubs with us, so we had to rent everything. Club rental is $2 each, which is pretty good. The cost for a bucket of balls is $4 for a small, $7 for a medium, and $9.50 for a large bucket. This seemed a bit expensive to me since I'm used to paying ~$6 for a bucket of balls in Vancouver. However, they offer a great deal which is a large bucket of balls and breakfast for $10 before 11 AM if you're an early bird. You pay for the bucket inside, and you get a receipt with a code on it. You take that code to the ball machine on the right side of the driving range, and fill the bucket there. The driving range is nice in that it has huge nets caging in the range, so there's no loose balls flying everywhere. It also makes it easier to see where the ball goes if you consistently slice left or right (like I do). I also like that you get a nice view of the hills in the area, and can enjoy the driving range without being cooked in the sun. If you're looking for a place to hit some golf balls in Kamloops, check out the Mt. Paul Golf Course.

If you don't want to walk, you can drive and park by the front office lot. Showerhouse: super clean, warm, spacious, flush toilets, hot showers, tap to fill up on water as the rustic cabins don't have running water. Rustic cabins: Full size fridge, oven, gas stove, electricity, wood stove (for heat). 7A doesn't have extra outlets so we had to unplug the oven to charge cell phones etc. Fully stocked with plates/bowls/cutlery/pots/pans/paper towels/dish soap. Bring your own bedding and food. Fishing is a love/hate relationship - its a bit of a tricky lake to get a hang of but the regulars love it and come back every year. Might want to have at least AWD coming in as its quite hilly and snowy but we did peep a civic parked at the front office lot. Richard/Debbie and the crew are very friendly and helpful.
