Before I even took the wig home, I expressed concern that the part did not look natural. I found it weird that I had to pay the $4,000 before even taking the wig home. Once it did come home with me, I felt immediate regret because I truthfully do not love the wig. I wanted a wig that was all one length, pin straight. It doesn't even color match my natural hair color...This wig has a sizable angle in the front and I truly do not like how it looks on me. It is also wildly uncomfortable and bulky on my head. I looks like I am wearing a helmet which I also expressed before buying the wig, but I was met with (what I thought were...) reassuring words to deflect and make me think otherwise. The part is two different colors and is a true embarrassment. I wore the wig less than 5 times. I visited family in NY and went to a wig shop here that cost me $1,500 and the quality is far more superior, and it looks a lot more natural, and feels comfortable. I am extremely upset by this, as I purchased my wig from Custom Hair during a time of extreme vulnerability and distress. I feel like charging a cancer patient $4,000 for a wig is extremely greedy and predatory. I was desperate for a solution at the time, and paid it thinking that was the norm. I found one for less than half the price that I love and it actually feels comfortable on my head. Custom Hair was also pressuring me to donate my hair. I expressed multiple times I wanted my hair loss to be on my own terms, and not theirs. I should not be pressured about what I decide to do with MY hair when I am already going through a traumatic cancer diagnosis. They probably encouraged me donating my hair so their sleazy asses could get a tax write off...If you are in the Tampa area, I suggest ordering your wig from Highline Wigs in NY.

The store is a quaint one located on Franklin and Cass Streets. We stopped in early afternoon, and it was fairly slow. The wigs for sale were beautiful. These wigs are top of the line wigs, not your $15 ordinary ones you find in a costume store that shed every minute. Drew and Connie were very friendly and attentive. Connie was so sweet as she helped my friend try on her wigs. She made putting on a wig cap and wig look so effortless. Wig fittings are priced at $5 for on four wigs. This is understandable due to health regulations. A wig cap is also included in the $5 fee. Another friend of mine loves to bring his seven year old daughter here to try on wigs and she loves it. This is perfect for dads (or moms) who want do something fun on random day. These wigs are, by no means, inexpensive. These are high quality wigs that will last you the length of its use. I have Alopecia Areata and an Autoimmune Thyroid condition so I deal with hair shedding/fall-out and texture issues from time to time. She has helped to make my hair look healthy, full, and shiny. My needs are usually very simple. Long hair with gray root coverage. Although I did have balayage for several years. It looked really nice, but I use infrared saunas often and it can sometimes be drying to the hair so I've let the balayage grow out since. Whatever your hair needs are, give Damaris a try.
