tl;dr 11/10 recommend DITA and Eric. he's a pro (everyone there seems to be) + the vibes are so chill. one of the most (unexpectedly) challenging parts of relocating is looking in the mirror and realizing it's time for a haircut. but where?? hair is an art, and having gone here for a little bit (it's all about the consistency!), i can honestly say that Eric knows how to use the proverbial paintbrush: patient (even during those rare times he's running behind schedule), knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. if i bring a reference photo along, i really appreciate how Eric immediately recognizes the nuances of my unique asian hair and makes suggestions to tweak the reference photo to fit me better. bonus points for being extremely well-versed in hair science (so cool! like, did you know hair has a life cycle that varies across individual strands???) thank you Eric! finally, the environment is worth noting: so many barber places in particular come across as stodgy masculine vibes (idk how to describe it, but you know), but DITA is very chill, welcoming, modern and super clean. they use dysons, and i'm honestly so tempted to get one now too. read more

Use to love coming here because of past barbers. Went with STEPHEN yesterday for a simple scissor clean up and it was so shit. First of all he got done with the haircut in like 15 minutes which is way too fast and you could tell he didn't care and wanted to collect his money real quick. Space is clean, location is nice. Been going here for a few years, with cuts being pretty consistent between two stylists. Would generally give it 4 stars, but recently had to go with someone else in a pinch. Came in 5 mins early, had to wait 20 mins without any acknowledgement besides initial "do you have an appt" greeting. Also, the cut was way too short (+1") compared to my reference pictures. The haircut was great and that's the only reason for the 2 stars. I tipped 60%!!! Because I'm very particular. Indigo did a great job, but the post customer engagement was sub par if that. Not to mention she was gossiping with a co-worker (destiny) the entire time. Both cutting hair. Simply unprofessional, but I still was happy with the haircut. I asked for a card and was told to send a message to request my next appointment. In which case I did exactly that. I sent 1 message stating who I was and that I would like to request an appointment. Then sent another message after not hearing back for a few days. Still no response. I am a white glover delivery specialist. I certainly would not expect my customers to respect me after receiving a 60% tip and then ghosting them when asked about my services. Destroyed my hair and chopped off most of it, to the point that there is almost no hair left to fix. SEE pictures of what it looks like versus what I asked me / how it looked before the haircut. There is not enough hair left for me to comb or part. It will take months to grow back. I wrote a restrained and factual review on Google, stating that is a supervision/management issue -- hiring recent graduates and then not adequately watching them. There is no excuse for this. If a customer specifically asks for a trim on their 2.5 to 3.0 inches of hair, it should not be chopped down to under an inch. Numerous people have asked me what happened to my hair, and it's a week before the wedding. I'm mortified and anxious. To prove my point about the management issue, the owner did not apologize or take any responsibility when they responded to my interview. They doubled down and said that bad haircuts happen. Do not go here. They're fine ruining your haircut and then blaming you for it. read more

Friendly barbers, ample parking, good haircuts. There's not a lot of shops on the west side of town that give you the Barber experience. Living on the west side, it's a pain to go into town to go to a true barber shop. This new spot with barbers who had been cutting in the Pearl for a bit, is going to be the spot to go to. I was very pleased with my first experience at DITA. I've never really gone to a barber for my hair needs before. I usually go to one of the chain places, but finally grew tired of how much they charge for a standard and pretty basic service. I scheduled my services with Jose. I needed hair, beard, and a shave. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. I have a pretty bad bald spot on the back of my head, and with my hair thinning it makes it difficult for me to find something that works and looks good. Jose took the time to look at everything and came up with a suggestion that I was good with. Jose was great, took time to make sure everything looked great, trimmed my beard, and the shave was great. He took time to make sure I was happy with the result and make sure I didn't want to change anything. He's definitely made a return customer with me. Their prices are more than fair for the services they provide. Other barbers around the area charge twice as much. read more

I was new to town and spent weeks trying to find a new barber for my picky self. I went to the "best" barbershops in Portland but I wasn't satisfied. Then I came across DITA Barbers in Beaverton and decided to check it out, I got my haircut from Risky and it was great!! Like I said I am VERY picky with my hair but risky takes his time to explain what he is doing, great scissor work and amazing skin fade. I have a comb over hairstyle and everytime I am loving my haircut he makes sure you will look fresh! Great staff across the board who are all friendly and will put in the effort and attention to detail to make sure you're happy. Most importantly: they all can give great, consistent haircuts. Sean has been giving me fades every 3 weeks since they opened! My favorite part is the culture they've created; open, inviting, and the staff is always looking to improve and excel. This is the type of business I want to support! Logistically, online booking is intuitive and easy to set up. Helps to book at least a few days in advance. Plenty of free street parking around the shop. They're on time for my appointment; I don't have to wait long when I get there. I got my first cut from Sean today. I'm very pleased. I've been looking for a descent barbershop since I moved to Beaverton seven years ago. It seems like everything is either (A) a hair salon disguised as a barbershop or (B) a poorly kept dump that's been decaying in a strip mall for forty years. DITA is unique. Sean has created a super clean, professional Barbershop that is what it should be - a place for men to get a clean cut from barbers who specialize in men's hair. Starting off with the fact I've had 10+ different barbers I've gone to and none have really stuck, clearly. Until going to DITA and meeting Cristian. I've now been coming to DITA for about two and a half years now and have always gone to Cristian. He constantly works on his craft and gets better every time you get a fresh cut, fade, or braid. He does it all! Would highly recommend anyone that has had difficulty finding a style that works for them, to go to Cristian. For anyone that has a style, but wants it perfected, to go to Cristian. Not only will the cut exceed your expectations, but the conversation with Cristian is always fun and engaging. He's truly a genuine guy! The atmosphere of the barbershop is super laid back and chill.
