I arrived just as they opened so I was the first one there. Street parking was not an issue, but it may be later in the day. I don't know. They have a smaller luncheon menu and I chose lasagna and a side salad. The salad was very fresh and the dressing was a really light Italian that was very complementary to the greens and not overwhelming at all. When the lasagna came, I initially thought wow that's a lot of cheese, but it really was not an overwhelming amount. And the taste of the sauce as well as the meat in the lasagna was fantastic. I don't know what I expected, quite possibly the same generic type of lasagna you get at most places, but this was far from it. Very different than many other lasagnas and tasted as if a family member made it with an old secret family recipe. The restaurant is very clean and classy. My server was very polite and attentive, but not overwhelming. I didn't get any bread, which was a bit of a disappointment, not because I need bread in the least, but I do enjoy trying different breads at different restaurants. However, that takes away nothing from the dining experience for me. I won't even remove a star for it. This is five star all the way.

Why you get 4 stars - it was unbearably hot inside. That will either drive people away or make them get takeout. When I takeout, I don't order alcohol and I don't tip as much. Overall a good experience with great food and nice staff. Out-of-towner exploring new places to eat in the area.

We've discovered several new favorites simply by stopping in for their Friday tastings. The owners are what really make this place special. They're incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely enjoy talking wine, and create a welcoming atmosphere without ever making it feel intimidating. We joined the wine club and it's been well worth it. The shop itself is comfortable and inviting, with both front and rear outdoor patios that are perfect for relaxing with a glass when the weather is nice. It's the kind of place where you stop in for a quick tasting and end up staying to chat. If you're in the Fremont area and enjoy wine, this is an easy recommendation. Great selection, great people, and a business that clearly loves what they do. Five stars all the way.

They make you feel welcome and will answer any questions you might have. The shop is cozy with plenty of seating to enjoy the wine of your choice. They also offer cocktails and beer. There are also some packaged snacks to purchase. There is a back room that can accommodate large groups and also a front and back patio to enjoy. I highly recommend checking them out the next time you are in downtown Fremont!

There is restaurant seating both downstairs and upstairs where you can overlook the crowd below. I asked what the building used to be as I assumed it was a hotel or something of that nature but they told me it had always been a restaurant. The food was good and came out piping hot which was great. My biggest disappointment was definitely the salad bar. The salad portion of the bar consisted of iceberg lettuce.....literally. There were no vegetables or other embellishments that you could add. They did have some other pastas and things like that with the bar, but they could really stand to provide some other options to pile on top of your lettuce. There aren't a ton of options in the area, but outside the salad bar we were satisfied with our meal.

Ordered the Reuben Sandwich with a side salad. The salad was iceberg lettuce, baby cut carrots and croutons with Club crackers on the side. The Italian dressing was delicious. The sandwich arrived before I had finished my salad. It had been left on the grill a little too long and the marble bread was slightly burned, which was disappointing. The sandwich had the right amount of corned beef but needed more sauerkraut for my taste. Overall it was a so-so meal.
