First time in. Sometimes it's packed all the way out to 249. I love craft/draft beer so I was excited to finally try it.
The good: the beer selection is pretty good. I've seen better, but this was pretty good. Our table tried several beers and liked them all. The food (we just had wings and spinach dip) was pretty good too.
The bad: we actually ordered crawfish but at 9pm they were already sold out. supposedly this is their big thing. thanks for nothing. and this was saturday night. we are in our 40s so it's not like it was an after hours party. 9:00 should have still had some crawfish.
The ugly: the waitstaff..if you can call it that...was HORRIBLE. Okay, to be fair, we sat at a table on the patio and most of the tables seemed to have "go to the bar to get served". That was kind of bad enough. So I went to the bar to order our four beers. In the middle of my order, the bartender turned to apparently a friend of hers and started up a conversation...in the middle of my order. Then she went to place the order. Came back quite a while later with only three drinks. I asked which was the (whatever) beer and she said "oh ya, I forgot that one". So then she asked about our food order and again, as I was in the middle of ordering it, she started talking to the other bartender and then just walked off. The other bartender finished her order entry and then looked at me to see if I needed something. I said "well, in addition to the spinach dip, I need (the rest of my order)." She said "ya, okay.". Two other guests joined us about 10 minutes later. They went up to the bar and ordered some stuff. About 30 minutes after we ordered, I went to the bar to check the status and the girls said "it should be out any minute now." And so it was. Our order and our friends' order came out together. Hmm. So spinach dip and 12 wings takes nearly 30 minutes to get out. As the night went on, we were asked exactly once if we needed anything else. We definitely were not "waited on" and our tip reflected that. We are usually pretty generous (20-25%...and a few times over 100%) but not this time. This was absurdly bad. Not the worst I've ever had, but I sure as heck didn't feel waited on or like there was any care about the service. I can name a dozen fast food places with better, friendlier service. And it wasn't even busy so it's not like they couldn't keep up.
The volleyball concept is pretty interesting. Not my thing, but unique. And the patio seating wasn't too bad. Facing the courts at night, though, the spotlights are very bright. Maybe we should have sat inside but it was a nice night.
So, my recommendation is that if you're there to eat, either actually sit at the bar or sit in a section where the waitstaff makes money by waiting on you and they might actually care about service. The food wasn't bad. The beer was good and reasonably priced for what it was. But the service was enough to take this review from probably 4* to 2*. read more
