To start i feel i should give a background. My wife and I have been going to District 249 since the very beginning, we were there during their soft openning and loved it, Loved the changes from the old Red River, really liked the expansion on the beer selection, and we really enjoyed the company, got to sit down with the owners and got excited when they told us the back patio plans. Since then we have very much been regulars and visting almost weekly if not more. Once the patio and the volleyball courts were added (In which I enjoyed very much) we felt the bar has slowly fell off, the service inside and out has absolutely no structure, it has never been good and we don't understand why it hasn't been figured out. I see based off the previous comments there's several people who feel the same way its not that hard, hire an experienced serving manager and let them run that part of the business, the one guy running around cannot do it all. We have been here several times including tonight and sat down outside wirhout EVER getting greated by a waitress, have found its easier to just serve ourselves by going to the bar. One a positive note, food has continuously been pretty good and we normally get it pretty quick after we order, crawfish is always good during that season. We also tried to help support the bar by ordering food during their delivery only period. We also enjoy the dog friendliness. However we will no longer be customers till this gets figured out, the service is so frustrating, we will be back once the ball gets rolling again. Hope the review helps for development. read more

We come here during the day to let the kids play volleyball. The food is pretty good. The atmosphere is fine. The service is a hit or miss. Sometimes the experience is fine. Never great. But fine. Other times it's absolutely horrible. If you have time to waste and dont care how long it takes while the kids play and you don't mind getting slow or no service it should be fine. If you're pressed for time or want to be waited on I'd probably pass. read more

Ok, So first time on this Large Property and was Really liking this place. I really went for the Crawfish to my surprise was Very Good. I am a Fan of Blue Water Sea Food Crawfish but may have found a new place. My wife had the Burger with Tots and again was Very Good. Beer was cold WHEN I got one from the Waitress! The BAD! Understaffed and could not for the life of me get a Waitress that would take care of us. I asked tree times for a Manager and never seen one at all. Other people are having the same issues. This place Really has Great Potential to be Great. Hope it gets turned around and does not become an abandoned building. So I was there on Saturday 3-13-21 around 9 PM. I explained to the entire staff that some guy appeared to be stocking me. Only the black guy working the door took me seriously. On two different occasions, I tried to explain my situation to the police officers working The door. The officer with short hair did not take me seriously. The entire staff at the facility walked me to the door like they were going to listen to me. At that point, they told me not to come back into the facility. These people have no interest in personal safety. The guy working the door seemed to appreciate my concern. Beyond that, nobody cared. I explained the entire situation which should have been on their camera. No concern of theirs. I'll spend my money somewhere else. read more

Great family oriented place service is great and the owners are awesome. This is one of my favorite places to come to during the weekend to hang out or to come watch sports. They have plenty of TV screens so you can pretty much sit anywhere and have a great vie whether your outside or inside. Plenty of volleyball courts for tournaments corn hole and other events. I've been coming here off and on for a couple of years now, but after yesterday I will not be returning. With everything going around regarding COVID-19, District 249 is not taking it seriously at all instead, making a joke out of it. I pulled up yesterday for a to-go order of Crawfish to support local small businesses and at the door several people were just hanging out together, in front of the door drinking and smoking. One of the young guys probably cussed about 10 times before I could even hesitantly walk in. I went in paid for my food and as I was walking out through the profanity laced conversation again, I noticed a sign outside the door that said, "Mexican word of the day 'sofa king'... as in, "this pandemic is sofa-king stupid". If at least one person stops coming here because of this review, it's been worth it. All so the crawfish was dirty when we got home. A lot of debris and what seemed like dirt in the meat. read more

Lots of beers on tap (like a whole wall!). Friendly and accommodating staff IMO. I found the parking lot to be well lit and the interior to be clean. Haven't tried the food. So I come here pretty often and this is the second time they've overcharged me. I spent 10$ for food and forgot to close my tab since I only bought food and didn't think I needed to close it. I wake up this morning with an extra 70$ charged to my card. Don't leave your tab open because they will purposely add more to the tab without your knowledge. Went for the Vball but stayed to eat and dance! Best sand Vball courts imaginable. Lighted and you can shower (al fresco) in your shorts before changing in the provided cubicles. Bring dancing clothes to change into cause they have a very nice C/W style dance floor with lots of seating surrounding. I had a BBQ burger that more than justified its $11.49 price point with excellent and plentiful fries. They have a WALL of taps. Excellent selections from diverse sources. I like IPAs. They do too! Super friendly service...the employees must like it there! I was there on a Friday. They had a good solo guitarist/singer on the porch and started dance music in the A/C area by the dance floor later. At 59, I was one of the older folks there, but felt very comfortable. Took my kid here to play volleyball. We play pool tables and order bar food. The service was quick. We had Parmesan garlic chicken. The sauce is not what I really like. We ask for more cheese to add. Wish it was more like butter, garlic salt and cheese. Also try steak fingers and tots. It was good for bar food I guess. But for some reason I had heart burn. Maybe all those fry food! Terrible service both time that my boyfriend and I went. The last time we went were able to get our drink orders in and then saw her maybe twice after that. We waited about an hour to get food order put in. luckily within that hour the table next to us gave us 5 lbs. of crawfish. Then when she finally came we ordered appetizer which we never received. We had to get another waitress to help us track down ours so we can get out of there. Kinda sucks because their crawfish was amazing. read more

They were out of every single drink I tried to order ... I ordered dinner and after waiting more than an hour, it came out cold. Spoke to the Manager, but he only had excuses as to why they were out of drinks, etc ... but didn't seem interested in making things right or fixing their inventory issue in the future. Ok. Where do I start? Bar has so much potential, however every time I come here food is luke warm and service is the worst I have ever had. I only keep coming here because the kids can play while we watch a game. This last time was worthy of a review. It took one hour to get the waters we ordered. We went to the bar to get our Beers. After an hour and 4 times of asking for a menu we looked it up online. We never got silverware or napkins. Come here to play volleyball. I went here with my aunt and cousin on a Tuesday night. They were surprisingly busy both at the bar and volleyball courts. There are many things to do ( volleyball, corn hole, etc.) while enjoying a large selection of on tap beers here. We did not have any food but the staff were very friendly. We sat outside, in August, and it was pleasant. If you sit outside you must request service or order from the inside/outside bar yourself. We didn't mind ordering from the outside. Absolutely love the crawfish here. Between the three of us we sat down and ate 40 pounds of crawfish. Enjoyed one of those gorgeous spring days in Houston. Service was pretty good considering how full it was that day on the back patio with all the crawfish been served. If you have kids it's not a bad place to go because there's plenty a room for the kids to play in the volleyball courts and play around. Terrible terrible experience. Nothing but disrespect from this establishment and honestly it should be shut down. Service was terrible and the food is mediocre. Really lucky I didn't call the cops just because they had children running around late at night and had no problem serving minors to under age children.
