My husband and I sincera we moved to North Carolina we have been looking for places to have fun. We both like pottery a lot. Recently my dad passed away and I have been so depressed so he found us a place where I can go and distract myself. Since you enter the store you can feel this vibe of creativity and calmness. They have from pottery paint to canvas. They also have summer camps for the kids or after school activities. We were looking for pieces to paint and I saw this beautiful Angel it literally reminds about my dad. This can be a play date with your kids or just a date with your partner! I recommend to check it out!

Distractions offers drop-in bisque (ceramics) painting. As of Dec. '24, pieces range in price from $16 - $115 and are kiln-fired with a nontoxic food-grade glaze for an amazing, safe final product. The studio also hosts on-site functions (reservation and reasonable deposit is required). With a helpful staff that went the extra mile, (shout out to Cheyenne) Distractions met our needs for a recent baby shower hosted on-site. We were favorably impressed with the space, variety of ceramic pieces, staff, and the final products. Everyone had a great time!

What a fun place!! And it's right next door to several different great restaurants and dessert shops. This is a good place for anything from a kid's party to a date night. The staff is very helpful and there is a large selection of pieces in varied genre and holiday themes to choose from. I'd love to return and create more art.

Love, love, LOVE! What a great time! First off, the staff is so nice and engaging. I really felt comfortable there and it made the entire experience that much better. Their selection was incredible; I couldn't even get it all in a picture. They had practical things to paint and also many fun things that are just pretty to look at (like my Slytherin Fox!) Canvas, metal, wood, mosaics...you name it! We really liked how there wasn't a time limit (thank goodness because we painted and talked and had a great time for a little over 3 hours) and didn't limit you to a certain number of colors either. What was really great was that the staff was also very helpful in several ways. I needed some help with the eyes of my fox and the staff traced them out for me and gave me tips and tricks on how to make the eyes look perfect! I was about to leave him without eyes because I'm not the best at painting and what not; that was really cool of them. This is an experience and a great one at that. We will be back this weekend as a matter of fact! Must go!

Meh. It was an okay experience. Honestly seemed like the knock off version of a Mad Platter studio.

I think it was about $10/person, but the canvases can get pretty expensive if you want a bigger size. The one we got was $65 for a medium sized canvas. But the memory and the Picasso-like painting now hanging in my living room helps justify it.
