At the Yelp New Jersey Elite event, the hand building class was quite an experience where the friendly owners and staff showed us how to take a ball of clay and using pinch pot form, style it into a bowl. Once the bowl shape took form, we embellished the clay with molds to add design elements. I loved the paw print mold! The staff was very helpful to assist and made sure the art was sturdy and ready for the oven. We got to pick what color we wanted and the staff will paint it later. Pieces are usually ready 3-4 weeks after your visit, so it is a great reason to come back to the area to pick up the finished art. I loved to learn the location is dog friendly, as long as your dog is well-behaved. Since the experience requires full attention and is hands-on, being in control of your pup is extra important. There was a doggie guest there during my visit and was a perfect pup. Blue Skies Pottery also hosts events and collaborates with local businesses including hosting a paw print ornament workshop with the pet store next door. Classes are kept on the smaller side so you get personalized attention. Spots fill almost immediately when posted so don't delay act fast if you want to join in. You need to buy your own supplies which a list will be provided to you when you enroll. They also have a custom framing department that has provided to be useful after you complete your masterpiece. Classes are available for every level so don't be intimidated as everyone in my experience is so kind and supportive. Wear old clothes and let your artistic side come alive!

We spoke with her for a bit and since we weren't really ready to buy a stick on site she invited us to come to her shop (A Chic With Stix) for a fitting and to try out the vast assortment of sticks she had so my daughter could find the right fit. My wife and daughter, and one of my daughter's teammates and her Mom, took the trip down to Fair Haven to check the place out. Kendra took a tremendous amount of time working with my daughter and her teammate to ensure that they got the right stick, a stick which felt right in their hands, a stick that was appropriate for their strength and swing and in all of the time she spent with them she didn't try to upsell them on more expensive sticks. My daughter ended up with a field hockey stick that she absolutely loves. We had such a great experience working with Kendra that we recently (two weeks ago) went back to buy my daugher a new indoor field hockey stick for the upcoming season and she once again took her time to help her find the perfect fit. As you can tell, I can't heap enough praise on A Chic With Stix as my daughter would never had gotten the kind of personal service she got here from a big chain store and we would have had to guess as to what stick to get her. I got the gingerbread latte and loved every sip. My coworker got the latte with hot honey in it and said it had just the right kick. For a place that doesn't seem to specialize in coffees, they did make two wonderful drinks for us. There was plenty of parking and it looks like they do quite a bit outside (maybe on the weekends?) with the tree lot and farm in the back.

There were plenty of spots on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. When you enter you go through these giant barn doors. The inside is a lot of fall decor with candles, bakeware, kitchen towels, all the cute home stuff that makes your house extra cozy for fall. They also have a little coffee area too but I had already gotten coffee earlier so I didn't order any. Although everything was super cute, it was also a bit pricey so I unfortunately only bought some lotion which was really moisturizing and smelled AMAZING. Something I really liked is that you could sample most of the lotions and sprays so although I didn't buy them, I could at least try them out. If you go through the back exit, you enter the farm portion with a little pumpkin patch, donkeys, and sheep! There were a few places for "photo ops" too. If you walk further there's actually a little garden/flower field which was really nice to walk around and take pictures. You couldn't pick any flowers at this time but maybe we could've earlier in the season in the summer. This was a cute little farm that I would come back to for another season to see how they change it up. Although some of the items were pricier I would come back to get something as a gift. I think there's a lot of nice stuff to give for a housewarming and it's good quality too.

We shop here every year because you will see toys here that are not to be found in any of your "normal" stores.
