Joe came out, took a look what was going on, and gave me an estimate that was identical in scope but half the price of another estimate we received so we opted to go with Eames and Sons. Joe was fantastic to work with and kept me up-to-date on scheduling of the entire process, from dropping off a trailer for the old roofing materials, dropping off the new materials, the actual day of work, etc. The Eames and Sons crew came out, did the work in a single day, and then Joe came out the next day for an inspection. Joe noticed some of the work wasn't up to the Eames and Sons standards, so he had someone from the crew come back out and redo it and then came back out the same day to check on the work again. I also noticed that some of the mortar between bricks near some of the work seemed to now be missing and he came back out on his own time to fill in the gap. Eames and Sons, and specifically Joe, definitely went out of their way to make sure our roof was perfect and that I no longer needed to worry about the leak we found. This was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend others use Eames and Sons for their roofing needs. EDIT: I noticed some damage to a window screen after the dump trailer was moved away. Joe fixed the screen himself and sent someone else out to take care of some of the metal around the window as well. Eames and Sons has gone above and beyond what I expected and they have set a very high bar for any work that gets done around our house in the future.

I hired Franciscus Roofing for a $650 "Roof Tune-Up" after contacting the company about a leak near…read moremy chimney. The agreement also identified loose shingles on the ridge, along the gutters, and at the back slope. After the work, I received an invoice showing $610 in materials and $140 in labor. When I questioned the breakdown, I was told the invoice was incorrect due to a billing-system issue. A revised invoice retained the $650 total but removed the dollar breakdown. The company subsequently provided its technician's description of repairs near the chimney, several nail pops, ridge-cap shingles, and additional lifted shingles. I appreciate having that description, but I have repeatedly asked for clarification about whether the loose shingles along the gutters--shown to me during the initial inspection--were addressed. I escalated my concerns to management and have filed a formal BBB complaint. As of September 24, I have not received a substantive written response resolving my questions about the scope of work. My frustration is with the billing confusion, communication, and lack of clarity about whether all the work discussed was completed.

I made a snap decision on a shingle color from a small sample while talking to the TLC rep for ten minutes and have regretted that decision ever since. The TLC rep made no mention of researching the color selection so it is up to the customer to do so. To be fair the roof job went very well. All of the TLC employees were friendly, professional & showed good workmanship. I would recommend TLC to anyone but would caution them on their shingle color selection.
