But she recommended Dr. Garwood and now that we've been seeing her for awhile, I like her even better! Dr. Garwood and her staff are all about prevention and good care. This practice is run differently than others -- it's more personal and thorough. They are really a part of the community too. On a side note, I found out that Dr. Garwood is a Navy veteran. I am happy to be supporting a small business owned by a former member of our armed services.

I asked why, and received the response that if I didn't provide my number, I'd have to find a new dentist. Actual text message I received from this dentist: "If Its a problem, you will need to find a new office." There is no need for a dentist to have social security numbers on file. It is a pointless risk of identity theft. I even consider it irresponsible. I chose to find a new dentist.

Five stars for a Dentist? What?…read more I've been a patient of Dr. Opsvig's for almost 10 years. He is absolutely the best dentist I've ever had. His state of the art office in North Bend is worth the quick drive on I-90 (it's actually only 20 minutes from Bellevue). I am extremely dental phobic. Dr. Opsvig goes out of his way to work with me to reduce my fears and is very gentle. He refuses to prescribe treatments unless they are absolutely necessary. If he says you need a procedure, you do. No messing around to pad his income sheet. His staff is friendly, efficient and helpful with working appointments in and around your schedule. So, if you need a new dentist or want to change and don't mind the drive East, give him a try. You won't be sorry.

But experience with Alpine Dental Office was so frustrating that I feel compelled to warn others. From start to finish, their customer service was absolutely abysmal. I went in for a crown repair, but because my underlying tooth had a crack, they were unable to help me so just charged me for a bunch of x-rays and sent me to someone else. Subsequently, my girlfriend made the mistake of going to them for a routine cleaning, expecting a straightforward visit. Instead, they insisted she needed x-rays, the doctor actually asking her, "How'd you get an appointment? We don't see patients without films". This left her feeling pressured unnecessarily and feeling as though she was being pushed into extra procedures just to pad their bills. This aggressive upselling was not only annoying but makes me seriously question their integrity. As if this all wasn't bad enough, I had a residual balance of $15.00 that instead of cashing me out while I was there, they keep sending me bills for. I don't like providing my banking info through the mail so I have been trying to reach them by phone, which despite numerous attempts, no one ever answers. I have left a message to call me so I can take care of it, but no one ever returns my calls. I wonder how they will like 1,500 pennies when I deliver it in cash! The overall attitude from the staff was cold and unprofessional. It felt like they had no interest in providing good patient care, only in rushing through appointments and maximizing profits. We both left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and convinced we should find a dental office that actually values its patients. Save yourself the headache -- avoid Alpine Dental Office unless you want to deal with poor communication, rude staff, and unnecessary pressure for additional treatments.
