We both grew up Catholic, but seemingly the Catholic Church wasn't resonating with us in our personal life as much so we were looking for something new and fresh. We stumbled upon this Church and never looked back. The community is welcoming, kind, and the Church is lively and beautiful. We look forward to the speakers and hearing Pastor Luke every Sunday. We literally would dread going to church before, but now are excited to go. I have attended several of their Women's Events, too, which have allowed me to grow in faith and in the community. However, this church is not here for your entertainment but for you to become closer to God. Our priests, congregation, and lay people really do try their best. It's not rock concert or a showroom. This is a church for the people in our community (all types) to try to have a place of peace and comfort to communicate with Christ. This Church was built because it was originally so small, it couldn't hold its congregation from what I understand. It's not a stop at Universal Studios. Meaning it got to a point, we needed more room. They used the money to make room for the congregation, not make it a Universal Studios stop. Resurrection Catholic Church is simple, kind, loving, humble, welcoming, yet so much more. It's not luxurious but I don't think we're suppose to be.
