For example they are selling luggage bags with torn zippers ($6-$14) and worn clothing for $6 each, crazy. We did purchase some good quality clothing here, but once again, much higher than you would pay at a Goodwill. The items that interested me most were some of the furniture sets, which were "like-new" and "good" being sold at a great price, and the motorcycle jackets, which sold for less than half of what I would pay at Cycle Gear ($50 verses $110+). The staff were super friendly, and the store is organized. One major issue is that both restrooms were out of order. All-n-all this is an ok place to shop especially if you starting in a new home, need some furniture or other household items. As for the clothing, I would save my money for Ross or Goodwill.

The…read morebuilding was built in 1949 as the Annex Theatre and used for the east side African American community. The building closed in 1962 and much later became the Maxey Community Center. This is where the Orange County Community Action Division provides assistance in many areas for the elderly, children and the under privileged. I saw programs listed that assist with vocational training, education and assistance with job placement. I also saw that there was an office for assisting with energy bills and a nice big activity room that was actively hosting an exercise class. I was there to pick up meals to deliver for Meals on Wheels. It's a new volunteer effort of mine and one of the awesome programs running out of this center.

Today the option choice meats hamburger, veggie burger or hot dogs. The sides were the fixings for the burgers or hot dog, Mac salads, beans. Cole slaw & chips. It was a lovely meeting. Great food, desserts, drinks. The cost for seniors is $3.00. Great to be able to meet up with the group.

Winter Garden has truly come into its own as a community and is not just an outpost west of Orlando. This area is convenient to get to by Highway 408 or East Colonial Drive. They have a great farmers market here on Saturdays, which I would also recommend. Winter Garden has a lot of history here in central Florida, but we also must embrace the Winter Garden of today and where it is headed to in its tomorrows. The area is quaint and enjoyable. It is easy to see why it is so popular. Overall, I would definitely recommend here and I will give it a rating of five stars.

I visited for the first time on Wednesday to see Hamilton on its national tour. I won a show ticket…read more(through the Hamilton app) and was very excited to finally see my most anticipated musical. The show was amazing obviously!! I was lucky enough to win a front row ticket, so I saw it all as close as possible. The dancing, the singing, all the little details Lin Manuel Miranda inserted into this production is astounding. I laughed, I cried, I clapped, and I cried some more when the 2.5 hour show ended. I did not want to leave the theater. I cannot wait to see Hamilton again one day. As for the theater, this was my first time visiting the Dr Phillips Center and I was in awe. First, Dr Phillips Center is in the middle of Downtown Orlando and there are many great options parking wise close to the theater. I chose to park in the City Commons garage. There was an attendant in front where you pull your ticket to park - $19 with a card or $10 cash. The City Commons garage also connects to a covered walkway that leads you to the theater, just get off on the 3rd floor of the garage. The walk in total is about 6-7 minutes (lol). The theater itself features a large lawn in front, then valet is in front of the doors, then when you walk in, you get the full ambience. It's beautiful in there, so nice and shiny. The box office is immediately to your right as you walk in. There are concession stands on both sides of the building and the merch area was to the right side of the building. The actual theater is huge! Very comfy seats. It was pretty cold inside, so bring a sweater. Again, with the theater being in Downtown Orlando, there is plenty nearby whether it be a bar or sit down restaurant. Several restaurants are within a 10 minute walk. I will be visiting the Dr Phillips Center for a show again in the future, a great time was had.

The entire cast was exceptional, displaying radiant energy and talent. The Dr. Phillips team greeted us, scanned our tickets, and directed us to our seats. The center is well-equipped with bars offering beverages (alcoholic and nonalcoholic $$) and snacks on every level and restrooms conveniently located throughout. You can prepay parking, or there is street parking available if you get there early and don't mind a short walk. Taking pictures is not allowed throughout the performance so be mindful. We sorted over 7k in food handling frozen, fully cooked, poultry and snacks. It was good to see the community and businesses remain committed to supporting this mission.

My husband and I found Quay Church when it was still called Life bridge. We had wanted to build a…read morefoundation around God in our marriage and even more so when we moved to the Orlando area. We both grew up Catholic, but seemingly the Catholic Church wasn't resonating with us in our personal life as much so we were looking for something new and fresh. We stumbled upon this Church and never looked back. The community is welcoming, kind, and the Church is lively and beautiful. We look forward to the speakers and hearing Pastor Luke every Sunday. We literally would dread going to church before, but now are excited to go. I have attended several of their Women's Events, too, which have allowed me to grow in faith and in the community. We look forward to building our life within Quay Church and continuing to fall more in love with faith. Thank you Quay Church!
