A graveyard under a movie theatre, a college campus that was a former morgue, murders, mafia crimes, and more! This was such a unique experience and we had a great time! We attended a walking ghost tour in Orlando on a Sunday evening. For a Sunday night the restaurants, bars and clubs all seem to be operating as if it was the start of a weekend... although the on-and-off rain has reduced the "usual" crowd there were still a lot of people out, we actually walked to some shady parts of DTO which was more scary than the ghost stories... but wait, I'm still getting started with the actual ghost tour. Our meeting place was outside the Orange County Regional History Center in Downtown Orlando. We did a lot of walking so wear comfy shoes. Our guide talked about haunted buildings focusing on: 1- The Beacham - a ghost of an old woman is seen somewhere near the stage, always accompanied by drastic temperature drops. 2- The Cheyenne Saloon is one of the most popular venues in Orlando, but it has a spooky past... 3- Church Street 4- Ceviche - guests will see an out-of-place woman dressed in 19th century garb, standing behind them in the reflection 5- Hamburger Mary's Bar and Grille, originally a hardware store. Apparition of a young girl dressed in Victorian clothing 6- Kress Building - Kres Chophouse is considered to be a paranormal hot-spot by Central Florida ghost hunters 7- St James Catholic Cathedral - they even conduct their own ghost tour inside 8- Orange County Regional History Center - we learned about one of America's most prolific serial killers, Ted Bundy. I've had both a domestic and international flight s. The terminal it bright, clean and spacious. Checking into flights, dropping off luggage and getting through TSA-precheck has been a breeze. The Terminal itself is like a mini shopping mall with places to shop, dine, snack or quench your thirst. There is a Premium Plaza Lounge located here, if you prefer to wait in "quiet" amd comfort for your flight. So far, I like this terminal...even if getting to Terminal A/B for luggage and rides have upon your return is quite the long haul.

I don't believe this terminal host any domestic flights. It is definitely the most modern and up-to-date portion of the airport! They have plenty of restaurants and shopping options with locals, such as Olde her bread, company, Kasian, logger, and other local favorites, you just have to look around. The terminal is reminiscent to mall millennia or Florida Mall, and how it's set up . Plenty shopping and things to see and do while you wait for your flight !

This station is a short distance from the Orlando Health campus. I don't know why I haven't…read moretravelled much via train before but I decided to forego having to drive from Tampa to Orlando and just relax and let someone else do the work. This station was revived by a community effort to preserve some of the history of Orlando and when you enter the doors of the station it's almost like turning back a page in time. There is plenty of wooden seating for everyone to spread out and socially distance. There are clean restrooms and staff on site to help with checking baggage and providing information about the trains and schedules. I believe that you get 2 checked bags and two carryons with your ticket which is much more than what you can bring on an airplane for the price you pay. If you get tired of sitting inside you can walk around outside around the historic building or watch the trains go by. It's easy to get a taxi or rideshare from here as well. As I walked around the building, I did like that the sign outside recognizes the history of segregation and how the station used to have separate segregated restrooms and waiting rooms. So yikes have changed but there still is a long way to go. I just like that it is publicly recognized on a sign near the entrance. This is a great train station. I felt safe and the waiting area was reasonably clean and cool while I waited for my silver bullet train. I believe the Hertz location that used to be onsite is permanently closed.

We booked through the website and had great communication about where to be, what to expect, etc. On the day of our tour, we arrived at the pick-up location a little early and our guide (Jessica) was already there waiting for us. The van was spotless and comfortable and our Jessica was very concerned with our personal comfort and safety. Along with my wife and I, there were two other couples, one celebrating and their 51st anniversary and a young couple in the military out for a fun evening (we are somewhere in the middle of these age groups). We all had a great time. Once the tour got rolling, so did the rain. It poured but that didn't distract from the experience too much. Jessica was very informative and entertaining and clearly is very concerned about everyone having a great time. She showed us sights of the city on our way and asked fun trivia questions. I'm kind of a "slow-to-warm-up" kind of guy and she made thing relaxed and fun right away. We stopped at four restaurants for food and drinks. She sampled Asian, Ethiopian, "American", and dessert. I don't want to give too much away because the stops change frequently and there's also a bit of joy in not knowing ahead of time what is coming next. At each stop our table was waiting and we were treated very well by the waitstaff (I was a little worried about being treated like a transient tourist being on a tour like this). At each stop they were ready for us and food and drink arrived quickly. There was time to relax and enjoy the company and the food but things moved along quickly. The tour was just me and the one other person I was with so we sat together in the backseat. There were car seats available for kids. We met at 6877 S Kirkman Rd in front of a closed down Office Depot. I'm not sure why we met here. There was no food stop near this location. We visited, in order: 1) Stonington's Fried Shrimp 2) Tako Cheena 3) Yum-mi Sandwiches 4) 4 Rivers Smokehouse 5) Jeremiah's Italian Ice I've gone on countless other food tours. Here's how this one stacks up. The food portions were above average in my tour experience. They were large and mostly main food items, not dessert. At place 3 we had two items: a small smoothie and the two of us split a full sandwich. At place 2 we split three tacos. At place 1 we got some shrimp, catfish, corn bread and mac n cheese. Place 4 was a cup of BBQ pork with cheese grits on the bottom and coleslaw on top. Place 5 was an icy or gelato. Our guide tried to personalize our tour. He discovered one of us was in town on healthcare business an proceeded to point out all the local hospitals as we drove. I've learned more history on other tours, but perhaps Orlando just has less. I wouldn't know. What we did learn was interesting and presented in a fun way. We covered a lot of ground in the car and stopped on the side if the road in a few locations. I'd change: In other food tours the guide called ahead to the restaurant to say we were coming so the food was ready upon our arrival. This didn't happen on this tour, though it's a nice touch as it keeps the pace up. Our guide stood in line and ordered at each restaurant while we sat down. Then we all sat down and waited as the food was cooked. Calling ahead would speed the tour up. Secondly, none of the owners or managers or chefs (or even waitress for that matter) of any of the restaurants came out to speak to our group, which is common on food tours in my experience. I missed hearing the restaurant's perspective on the food and the establishment's history. Our guide did provide some.

If you are visiting Magic Kingdom, then this is where you are headed. It is the only option if you…read moredrive, to get to Magic Kingdom. The transportation and ticket center is the main hub, it is attached to the parking lot which is giant. Once you get here, you have 3 options. 1. Take the monorail to Magic Kingdom 2. Take the Ferry Boat to Magic Kingdom 3. Take the monorail to EPCOT And then on really busy days or when there are issues with the Ferry or Monorail, they have buses to take you to Magic Kingdom. This is fine, there is not much to say about it. You have to come through here when you drive to Magic Kingdom. If you plan on ending the day at Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, (park hoping to both), I would suggest parking here. It is easy to hop via the monorail from Magic to EPCOT. You can also purchase tickets here but the lines are long in the morning. I would also recommend getting your tickets before heading to the park. They also have security checkpoint here, so you will go through security, but then when you get to the park you do not have to go through again, you have already done it. The security line can get long, they usually funnel everyone into one line which is slightly annoying. Its so large and so many people, they need to have multiple lines open. My real issue with this place is the parking. The parking lot is so large and the rows are so long. They never have enough trams taking you up to the ticket center. You end up having to wait forever in the morning and then again at night. You can walk but it can potentially be a really long walk depending on where you park. But you will see it if you drive to Magic Kingdom.
