My stay at this resort was accommodating overall. Because of the nature of my trip, I was focused not only on the stay itself, but also on price and convenience. The unit we stayed in was clean, up to date, and comfortable. Everyone slept fine, and the kids enjoyed the patio the most. My reservation included SeaWorld tickets, but if you do not have the printed sheet with you, staff will tell you there is nothing they can do. I ended up having a friend drive two hours just to bring it to me. I was also told that buying tickets on-site would be cheaper, but that was not true. The price was basically the same as buying online. The kids spent most of their time at the pool, which they enjoyed, but unfortunately the jacuzzi was not working. read more

The marketing for the vacation package is a complete scam. It really is a time share with a lot of other fluff to make it pass for a package other than a time share. You can get vacation packages from RCI without affiliating the scam Ascendant runs. If you like Airbnbs this is not worth your time or money. Depending on your income your price for essentially the same package will start in the 50-70k but can come down to around 10k or less if you bid your salesperson down to it. A lot of things offered for the buy in aren't really "free" you basically pay for them upfront and can reduce the price of the package by declining them and paying for them yourself without timelines. Last calls are not really a week long at the $300 something quoted. Different sites only have shorter stays and most have an additional fee you have to pay. They are also not as available as one would like. The 21 nights in Europe are not free either, you have to buy two meals a day per person in your party from the hotel to get the free nights. The stays are hit or miss and one can get them without buying a "vacation package". The only thing that is true is the prizes you get for agreeing to go to the sales presentation (which is longer than the two hours promised). You can show up for the presentation. Stay for as long as you like, decline a purchase and cash in prizes ranging from trips to $100. You have a few days after buying the package to go through the contract and all the small print to cancel the purchase with a full refund. You'll have the easiest time getting ahold of anyone to talk to during the buying process, there after, everyone from your sales rep to the sales manager in Orlando, to customer services via phone or email will ghost you. They started by misleading us as they are part of carnival then selling vacation package for RCI access and we found that the presented information at the sale presentation do not match to that what we can or will be able to get from RCI, there are many underlaying "fees" that we have to pay out, which do not worth of the more than $26K of the membership cost. Their deal is even more expensive than the regular website without membership fee. And we do not get our credential and log in after a month later while they only allow 3 days to cancel. We also told sale presenter that Vietnam is the country where we mostly travel to, and we were told by sale prep that we would get 60% of any major chain hotels if the hotels are not on the last call or on travel point exchange. This is false! We could not see any of that deal! We have reached out to sale prep and was given the RCI website. After we told sale prep that we do not see that deal, then come the silent. On top of all, we were told that they would apply a loan for us at zero interest but later on we find out it's a credit card with barclay which I'm 100% sure they also on the same boat, and the 30% interest is crushing our family We never expect that those scammers can operate their scam business legally in USA. After arriving at the "Welcome Center" on International Drive, my wife, who is from Australia was grilled by this lady asking her for her driver's license, passport and she even wanted to look at a copy of our marriage certificate. Not having a green card yet, she doesn't have a Florida DL. This rude woman kept asking her for more documentation of our marriage. I even showed her some wedding photos. My wife finally had enough of this and walked away. I told the woman we were done and started to leave. Some guy approached me and tried to get us to stay. I told him: "Based upon all the one star reviews on several sites and an extremely poor BBB record, I feel as if we dodged a bullet." I then walked out. "Presentations" such as this are little more than high pressure attempts to get people to spend more money on worthless "vacation club" memberships when anyone can just look around or book venues through a reputable travel agent. I was approached by Ascendant Holidays, LLC while attending a concert. They asked if I was married, and I clearly said no. I was told I only had to pay $40 and would receive a free gift and 7 nights of free accommodation. Based on that information, I agreed and paid the $40. However, when I showed up for the presentation, I was told that because I live with my fiancé, he was required to attend with me. This was never mentioned at the time of the offer. I ended up wasting my entire Saturday, spending time and gas to attend something I was misled about. This was a complete disrespect of my time and trust. They use deceptive tactics and false advertising. Their reviews appear to be fake, and I encourage anyone to look up Ascendant Holidays, LLC on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website to see the real experiences of other victims. My wife and I attended a sales presentation at Vista Cay for Ascendant Holidays. It started off okay. Our sales rep Jacqueline was personable at first. But as the pitch progressed, the pressure turned up fast. They quoted us a $35,000 package and kept pointing to a number we never even said claiming we told them we spend $5K/year on vacations. I politely said, "She wrote that down. I didn't say that." That moment seemed to trigger a change in tone. The manager, Joey, stepped in and things went downhill. He tried to guilt us by showing us photos of his wedding in Italy, and when I mentioned we were planning to buy a house within the year and couldn't take on this kind of debt, he basically dismissed it and kept pushing. It got so awkward that my wife asked him directly if he spoke Spanish. When he said no, she calmly but firmly told Jacqueline in Spanish that the manager had been rude and disrespectful. Jacqueline apologized and said (verbatim), "I'm sorry... he was an asshole." After Joey walked off and hid in a glass office, I took a moment to offer honest feedback: when I went to the restroom earlier, Joey didn't even lift the seat he urinated on it. That alone shows how little respect he had for the space or his guests. And when I came back out, the guy at the front desk didn't smile or acknowledge me. That's not how you treat customers. We are your bread and butter. At the very least, we should be treated with decency. Eventually, the regional director came out to try and salvage the deal. By then, I was standing. I calmly said, "We've fulfilled our obligation. We'll take whatever receipt we need and be on our way." Jacqueline made one last pitch, dropping the offer to $15,000, and shook my wife's hand, not mine. Speaks volumes. We walked out with our integrity, our credit intact, and absolutely no intention of recommending this place to anyone. My boyfriend and I won a sweepstakes on the radio for a 3 night/4 day in Puerto Rico. Of course, there's catch - must attend a two-hour session with their partners in order to get the certificate for our prize. We checked in and it honestly felt rush. They made us sign a waiver, which was already a red flag because we're just talking to people - not jumping off an airplane. We were paired with a rep, and he took us next door and started talking about our dream vacation. After all of that, he took us on a golf cart to view their vacation rooms. Once we come back to the meeting area, he starts going in depth, trying to sell us their timeshare (or whatever it is they're trying to sell). My boyfriend and I kept saying no to every offer. After four reps later trying to sell to us, our last rep is what moved the mood from bad to worse. He honestly said, "Everyone in this room doesn't make a lot of money, so this is a good price to let go of." He basically called everyone POOR. For the 3.5 hours we were there, only two families fell for the scheme. Poor families, I hope you get your money back soon. We are never saying yes to timeshare presentations. When I asked one young man working there he admitted it was his first day and could not tell me what they sell. You ride in a golf cart to view a unit and afterwards sit at tables in a busy noisy sales room. There are many timeshare offerings in Orlando with resorts that also offer cruises (Wyndham, Blue Green etc) Limited Parking and sales staff standing outside to pounce, I mean greet you. Don't waste your precious vacation time unless they give you a super premium. Just to qualify I work in the tech industry and would not take a job in timeshare sales (not an ex-employee or competitor.) On the flip side I have been to vacation presentations before. I did speak to an employee who was one of 5 employees lined up outside the sales room. I went inside the sales area which seemed to alarm workers as most people proceed to the registration. Careful with this one. So, let me start with the perk. We got called due to going to a wedding expo to come to Ascendant and get a spiel regarding their vacation club. They offered a couple of perks to go along, 8 day, 7 night stay etc. the club actually sounded good. We ended up signing up. This is my issue and it's a major issue I have with any of these programs. It is a rush to the finish line to get people signed up. If the program really is great, people would be lined up at the doors, like Disney World annual passes. It felt rushed. We ended up staying at the place until late and we were tired and I didn't get an adequate amount of time to think through everything. I came to my senses when I got home and decided to cancel. The only way you can cancel is within 3 days either mail the signed cancellation in with ALL items they gave you including the box or hand delivered all items. Can't just call and cancel. Pretty dumb and any program that does that, is honestly not the program for me. So I ended up spending a lot of money to ship the box back with everything. I did get my money back. The staff was nice, so that is at least something. I am overall not impressed with the program, though, or the cancellation. That is disappointing to say the least. My presentation took 3 hours and then 1 extra hour of 3 different finance managers trying to convince us. Very high-pressure sales pitch. Everyone was nice but it was exhausting. They refused to send me the contract so I could look it over when I went home. They said you have to buy it right there. How do they expect someone to sign $20,000++ contract without getting to look it over? That is terrible business. We eventually did receive our voucher for our trip and chose dates of travel. And a month later we still haven't gotten confirmation of our tip. So still waiting to see if they will actually give us the trip and if any of this was worth it. read more

I did this because I was bored and didn't care about wasting a Saturday morning: here's why you shouldn't. Heed the warnings my dudes. While the sales pitches weren't all that painful (it was kinda fun actually I like looking at fancy resorts for hours idc) the "gift" and paying a deposit to even start the process at all is definitely not worth your time or money. You're just going to keep running into new fees every step of the way and you'll end up paying more than if you just booked a trip to some cheap Caribbean resort on your own. Take into consideration how much of the cost of airfare and hotels are being driven by taxes and random fees - those mean you're still paying a LOT even without the extra $300 in deposits. Summary of deposits we saw before giving up: After you pay the first deposit ($100) and sit through the presentation they ask for a second deposit - ours was an additional $200 - to book. Even then you can only book for limited dates and departures from Sunday to Tuesday which is just not how most people travel. You also get zero insight into what you're booking. Personally, I'm not playing a $300 lottery to see what roach infested hotel just to likely ALSO end up paying more in fees than you can book it for online. Don't do it, people. read more

I said to to the $91,000 offer from there I have several manager giving a better offer. * The final one came from the sales director. * He offered me that same membership for the price of $10,500. * I could take unlimited 7 day stays at worldwide resorts for $289 to $399 per 7 day stay, including all inclusive resorts * $0 % payment plan thru a credit card and my monthly would be $45 * They check my credit and my credit was approved. * The sales man went fast thru some agreement letters which I was going to sign. but he fail to stop and explain conditions at certain important points. * I really liked this plan and I said yes....because I did not know He made false statement which I was surprised with at the signing of the agreement. Now, they moved me to a private office to record and video tape (gov rules they said) the signing and agreement to the plan. As we went thru the paperwork I noticed different writings and agreements. I questioned an extra charge of $1,150 they offered me a free mini vacation with airfare for that misunderstanding. Ok, then I saw that all inclusive resorts charged for food. I questioned that so they told me it was undisclosed information nothing could be done with that. BUT the deal breaker was that they were giving me a credit card with 17% interest and my total was around $27,000. They had already charged my credit card $2,270 down payment which they say they would reimbursed me when I got the new credit card. That did not make sense. I was told there was NO - $0 % payment plan. I told them to call the sales director but he was unavailable. SO I CANCELLED on the spot. They told me I would get my money back in about 2-3 weeks. Hawaii in the sunmer is impossible nearly. Last calls are crap u pay 350+ resort fees equals out to 100$ a night which would be a discount if you didnt have to pay the 15-30K to sign up. Presentation started off ok but then sakes rep insulted my intelligence and the fact that my fiance has pain from fibromyalgia and I am high functioning autistic. After sales rep refusing to finish Presentation the manager escorted us out and said he would still give us the promised gifts. From what we heard the place seem ok but we never heard any prices or saw the units. We took a survey and rated them fairly but told them compliance with ADA is legally required. Also note that if you speak alot and the partner is more timid then this might not work for your situation. They are giving us what was promised and for that I commend them. Our "agent," was Marcel, who could barely form a coherent sentence let alone sell a timeshare. After wasting 2 hours of him fumbling through his freshly learned pitch and touring the property, we made it very clear we weren't interested and were just there for the voucher. He then brought over his "finance guy," who gave us another 10 minute pitch. After we politely told him we weren't falling for it, they brought over yet another guy who didn't even introduce himself, and just started taking personal shots at us. At this point we got aggravated, told them to give us our voucher and to kindly **** off. These are scum of the earth salesman, selling garbage and trying to shame the people who don't bite on the scam. $11,000 for a week timeshare in Mexico and some cruise vouchers? An absolute joke. The voucher from the radio is legitimate and is worth sitting through one of these losers trying to leech $150 a month off you for a "travel package" that isn't even worth the first 3 months of payments. My husband and I were sold a "membership" with Ascendant Holidays on April 20, 2024, after arriving to pick up a gift that we "won" on the radio. We were told to expect a 90-minute presentation, and then we would be gifted a cruise or a week stay at Vista Cay Resort. After nearly 6 hours, we signed a contract for a vacation club. We were told it was $2,494 down and that we could cancel anytime. We were also told that this was not a timeshare program. It turns out they enrolled us in a timeshare program. They also limited us to 3 days to cancel the program. We were not provided with full access to our vacation club details until 30 days after they took finaldown payment, but before they took the final payment, my husband spoke with Meliena Roman and requested a refund. This delay gave us no time to compare the information they promised with what the club could actually provide within the 3-day cancellation window. After doing a side by side comparison, there seems to be little reason to keep this vacation club as the discounts, low cost vacation options, and excusive deals to over "thousands of properties" they promised are nothing more than minimal discounts to a limited number of locations during a very limited number of dates. After reviewing the contract more closely with the actual services provided, it seems that we are paying an astronomical fee up front for little return on investment over time. We were sold a vacation club that could be used at our leisure and convenience with locations all over the world. We received a ****** complex timeshare system with a bunch of hidden fees and a complex point exchange system.We have not used any of the "gifts" we received at sign up. We would simply like to return all "gifts," reverse all charges, and cancel our membership. read more

As a 55-year-old male who should know better, I write in shame after signing a time-share contract with Ascendant Holidays. In fact, I have descended into a quagmire of fraud and deception. Somehow, while signing a loan for our original deal, Mr. Mark Biondi generated a second phantom loan using our information. Suddenly, we we were paying two separate loans but because they were executed on the same day and at the same time, they claimed to have proof of our approval. Fin Market, sent the investigating detective "proof" of our approval but did not indicate that they had generated two separate loans by falsifying my wife's signature. Unfortunately, we cannot provide proof since we were not recording the signing. And of course, repeated attempts to contact Mark Biondi have gone ignored. In short, stay AWAY. read more

FORCED TO VIOLATE MY HIPPA RIGHTS. Purchased a package when I was healthy. When my health deteriorated and I became disabled, I requested to cxl service. Was asked by to provide medical documents to review. I provided ALL doctors info and medical conditions so not to send medical records. Was denied, instead tried to have me agree to another smaller plan. Long story short had to sign it in order not to go to Collections. Then when signed electronically, also having their signature electronically signed, it was declined and sent my account to Collections. This experience has been horrible and Ascendant / RCI has demonstrated poor compassion, being deceitful and providing no customer service consideration. I'm still escalating this to their corporate office, Timeshare Holders and write as many negative reviews as possible and share my experience throughout.
