1st of all these guys advertised the following on their website, "$65 kitten spay +rabies update as needed". Cleo, our 7 month old kitten never had a rabies shot and never had kittens of her own obviously. My girlfriend walks in asking for the $65 deal she saw online. She later is quoted $100 since apparently all female cats are in heat unless they've had kittens. So there's one 'bait and switch'. Obviously no one's going to bring a 'kitten' that has already had a litter, because by then it'd be a cat! And even if it was still a kitten no one would think given the website verbiage that it could cost more. It does say "kitten spay". Also my girlfriend didn't realize it was a "rabies update" for free. She asked for the online deal. Wouldn't they inform her of the extra cost for a 1st time rabies shot before they actually did the work? No.. basically acting like alot of vehicle repair shops out here. They even pulled me a fast one.. apparently they charge by the 15mL of medicine, so instead of charging me $32 for 30mL of medicine they did it for 15mL x2. We only got one bottle so of course I assume I was over charged. I measure by what my girlfriend already gave the cat, 2mL for the 1st day. Subtracting what she already used looked like 15mL to me! Then went online and found a 15mL bottle is about 2.5 inches tall which the bottle was and a 30mL about 3.25 inches tall. Go to the vet and they have this little cup that measured to about 30mL which was in the bottle. I'm letting them off for now but I sure as "heck" better get at least 2 weeks worth of dosage! I'm definitely getting my money back if I don't! Why would they put that on a receipt anyway? 15mL x2?? Why not 30mL like normal people? Anyway this vet is crazy and is definitely no discount. Don't be fooled. They'll tack on extra charges like it's no tomorrow. Instead of the $65 spay with rabies my girlfriend was charged $130, twice as much. And how did they seal the wound?.. with glue! So of course it opened up because the kitten will move around though we kept it confined in the bathroom. So had to come back for a $10 inspection and $20 staple procedure with $32 worth of medicine (antibiotic), so adding the previous $130 and the most current $62 we come to a grand total of $192.. to get a kitten spayed!.. at a discount vet nonetheless!! These people piss me off never again! read more
