I went to this location to purchase rims and have them installed on my car. They were very knowledgable and friendly and had my rims installed in a timely fashion. They explained that I needed to come back for a checkup, after a certain number of miles. When I returned, they were just as friendly. Their store is very clean (including their bathrooms) and their waiting area is comfortable. My only complaint is that they forgot to mention that they offered lifetime balancing. Had a slight vibration in my front tires so I had Discount Tire balance them. What a mistake this turned out to be. What was a slight vibration, after they got through with it, turned into a major issue. I should have checked out the tires before my trip but once committed to a drive to Atlanta, I could not even go the speed limit due to the vibrations from out of balanced tires. They were far better BEFORE I had them balance the tires. I won't be using them for any future business. If they can't balance tires, what else "can't" they do. read more

I called ahead and spoke with Alex, he was super nice and answered all of my questions. When I arrived Andy helped me with what tires I wanted and explained what he thought would be best and why. He ultimately left the decision up to me and I didn't feel pressured to follow his recommendation. I had two tires changed and rotated, which in total took a little over half and hour. They were super fast and so friendly. I had to return because my car was making a noise when I braked and Andy listened to my concerns and made sure to get to the root of the problem (which was a piece of the panel that was loose). We found a slightly better deal on tires through Sams Club, but Discount Tire had no problem matching the same price. Other tire stores in the area who were running "sales" said they couldn't come close to the price and wouldn't do a price match for the same tires. After getting tires for my Jeep, we called them for our 350Z and they had no problem doing the same price match for it as well. We had to order the tires, but we were in and out as quickly as any other tire store has ever done. Tires cleaned (a detail many dealers ignore) and ready to go. I just wish they were open on Sundays, and did some of the other things like alignments, but I guess specializing in just one thing helps you do an excellent job at it. I took a wire wheel tire in for repair and was told they were not allowed to repair tube type tires even thou I bougt the tires ad Discount tire and paid for lifetime repair and ballance. Another tech came out and informed me and the other tech that they were allowed to repair them if they were the type wheels that came on the car. He said they would repair it if I provided them with a new tube. I purchased a new tube online (cost $30 plus $18 shipping) and returned to Discount tire. I was informed by another technician that they would not repair the tire. I asked if they would break the bead so I could replace the tube myself and he refused. He said that corporate would not let them put a tube in a tubless rated tire. I asked if anyone made a tube type tire and he said no. This a catch 22 situation. Here I am with a flat tire that I bought and had installed at Discount Tire that they will not repair it. read more

Stopped by Discount Tire because my rental car had the low tire pressure alert. Tried to go by a gas station first but the air compressor was out of order and by sheer luck, Discount Tire was right next door! I pulled in the free air check bay and the guys there were so quick to help us! Turned out that the tire had an enormous gash in it, so they put the spare on for me, checked the other tires, and helped get us on our way. I can't thank these guys enough for being so kind and helpful when I had already had a stressful day of traveling and wasn't familiar with the area. Made a Monday morning appointment Sunday afternoon since they are closed on Sunday. Tire had a nail and kept losing pressure. Staff was great! In and out in 25 minutes and no charge for repair. Had an appointment to replace 4 tires, paid close to $1000. After 45 minutes, my car still had not been taken in to be done. The guy taken care of me was talking in the shop doing nothing. It wasn't until after I complained was my car serviced. At that time I also found out he failed to tell me about a $60 mail in rebate. Inconsistency in customer service lost this customer. This place is for real! I came here 2 months ago to have 4 new tires put on my 2015 Acura TLX. They were quick and the price was less than at my Acura dealer. I purchased the protection plan. Discovered a huge nail in my tire this morning. Stopped in to Discount Tire at 7:45 a.m., hoping the wait wouldn't be too long. Sloppy and not trained, called ahead for an appointment to get tires mounted onto wheels. Gave my vehicle information and drove there only to be told that they cannot mount performance tires on my wheels. Wasted my time only because they do not know their trade. Highly recommend you take it somewhere where they actually know their stuff... not just look at a computer screen. Also if you have wheels that cost more than $2,000 I would go somewhere that they would make sure they treat your stuff right. read more

It was a bad experience. First they looked at my tires on my truck and took my information, then I had an appointment for the next morning. Then the next guy said the lug nuts were not the right ones and they could not even change a damned tire. This was a 20 year old truck where maybe 10 years or more ago somebody jacked all four wheels. I had a spare somebody put on before me, same lug nuts. They said it could not be done for "my safety, company policy." Bizarre. Owned at least 20 old vehicles over 40 years. Young guy said it was for "my safety." I think those lug nuts had been on there for years, maybe before he was born. He said it was company policy, so I asked why the guy yesterday who looked at it and gave me a quote and set the appt. did not alert me to the idiotic policy so I did not have to waste my time coming back. The only answer was that it was for "my safety." Do they have liability waivers for this situation? Are they my "safety guides" for the future? I never saw this craziness before. I do not know why I wasted my time with these fools. Lug nuts are a problem? They fit the threads already there, and they may have been there for a hundred thousand miles, and I would have been glad to take the risk. Not store policy. I took it to another tire store known for common sense and got a good tire, no questions asked and no problem. These folks are highly overrated and over-regulated. I drove over a nail, thankfully in the middle of the tread, so the tire was repairable. I called Discount Tire the next day and they said "stop by anytime." They repaired the tire, remounted it, and stored the donut and my beloved Bose speaker back in their proper places. Cost? Zero. I had never done business with them before. I have to say the Discount Tire in Rockledge just north of Lowe's is outstanding. I don't know about any other of their outlets, but these guys have made me realize that there are businesses out there that are honorable and customer-oriented. I bought four new Michelins a few weeks ago WITHOUT the road warranty (although they encourage that warranty), and for the first time in 40 years of driving I actually hit a road hazard just outside the CCAFS gate and ruined one of my new tires. Took it in to DT and they hit me with the bill: $18. WTF? Yeah, since the tire was otherwise new and had all the tread, as a good-will gesture they just charged me for mounting and balancing. Is that cool or what? I expected to pay $200! I've bought tires from Sears, TK and Gattos in the past, but I'll tell you, DT has all my future business. read more

My family was in town visiting for Christmas when I notice I had a screw in my tires that were only about 3 months old that I bought back home. I went in to just get a patch put on the tire but to my suprize I got much more. The place was as clean as a pin and everything had its place!! They treated me like I had been doing business with them for years. I as the guy helping me what the charge was and he said "We will take care of you. " I again asked no what is the charge? He said " This is on us. The only thing I ask is that just consider us when making your next tire purchase." What a great place to do business!!! I will surely recommend them to any one I meet and will be getting my next set of tires from here! Just think what service you get if you become a regular customer. My family and I are loyal customers for years now after they helped my mom out with a nail in her tire. She never spent a dime there and they fixed it on the house with her safety as their primary focus and never asked for a thing in return. Either way, that small act of kindness was enough to earn business from myself, my fiancée, parents, friends, employees, etc. We have all been ripped off at some of the "competition", but at Discount they have been wonderful every time since then with friendly, honest, and quick service. Can't say enough good things. I've purchased tires from both the West Melbourne and Rockledge locations. Just bought a set of Goodyear Eagles today. Staff is beyond courteous and knowledgeable, especially Iran the store manager in Rockledge. Prices are very competitive with no fine print like you'll find at other tire retailers.
