Because I was travelling across country, I ended up purchasing tires in South Carolina. I purchased the tires online to expedite things. I also made an appointment. When I arrived it was pretty busy. I knew my appointment was just an online appointment pacifier and continued to stand in line. The employee checked my tires after I said I wasn't sure if I needed them. Then the wait came. It was obvious everyone had the same appointment time as me, there were no empty chairs, so I went for a walk, after I was giving an ETA. I don't know about other locations, and I don't mind waiting, just be honest and tell me the real wait time. Don't think that's too much to ask. read more

I don't typically take the time to leave a review, but will do so today. I was in the rock hill store yesterday with a flat tire. I was helped by a young lady name Jayden. She was so full of energy and helpful. I think she could even make a grumpy customer happy. Ask for her. There was a negative though. Nothing that she can control. There were 6 customers in line behind me. She was the only one working the desk and had to take a call (5 minutes) to give prices to a person. Only giving the star because i couldn't leave a review without one. I came into the store and not one person was at the front of the store. I waited 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me and the other 2 customers that came in after me. 2 guys finally came out and after asking for my tire to get fixed, he stated they didn't have time and told me he could schedule me an appointment. This is the only location that has ever tried to turned me away. Eventually he gave a heavy sigh then said just let me get your keys. The attitude is insane. Then another guy comes out and says which tire! I tho it were common practice to at least look at them all right!? Correct me if I'm wrong. There is. giant screw stuck in my tire. So I said spec the front driver tire, but could we please check them all at this point. Now yet another guy is telling me well we are closed now, but I guess I can tell them to check them all if that's what you want. I am mind blown at this point. The amount of attitude I received at this Rock Hill location is unbelievable. I will never come back here. I ordered a set of tires from the Discount Tire website, and made an appointment for installation online. I received several reminder texts for the appointment, and replied to confirm. I showed up on time, and was told my tires were there, but I would have to WAIT behind 7 other customers, and that it would be a long wait. I rescheduled for 2 days later. Upon arriving for that second appointment, I was told my tires were NOT there after all, and that I would have to reschedule AGAIN. I asked for a refund, which took a while, and asked for a written printout to confirm the refund. They could NOT print out a refund confirmation! I had to take a picture of their computer screen and hope for the best. This place does not have their act together, and did not apologize for wasting my time. Don't patronize this place. read more

I am a big fan of Discount Tire and all of my tires were purchased from the one in Fort Mill on Hwy 160. I stopped by this location to get a small nail in my tire repaired because it was close to where my daughter had something going on. I stopped in at 11:00 and was told it would be at least 2 and a half hours to get it repaired based on appointments and walk ins ahead of me. Fair enough...even though mine would be 5-10 minutes to fix, I get it. I was told if I came back at 1:00 it would be about 45 minutes. Came back at 1:07 and handed my keys and wheel lock over. At 1:30 I received a text that said it was ready. My daughter and I walked back from Chick fil A and arrived at 1:45. After waiting 10 minutes to speak with someone, I was told it had not been repaired yet and. Must have received the text by mistake. At 2:30, the car had not been moved and I was told there was still one person ahead of me. I took my keys and left and will NEVER return to this location. Thank goodness my usual Discount Tire is operated much better. read more

Brought my Jeep Wrangler into the Rock Hill location today to have a nail removed from my tire. The service was AMAZING! I had purchased my tires two years ago out of state from a completely different company. Discount Tire is close to my home and when I called they got me right in, plugged my tire and sent me on my way and didn't charge me a dime and they did all with a smile on their faces. That's unbelievable service. When it's time to purchase new tires for my Jeep or for my daughter's car we will definitely be returning to Discount Tire!! read more

I give this place zero stars but it would not let me. I highly do not recommend, I had to get 3 tires that needed to be replaced under warranty. An employee told my husband that the warranty would cover it. My husband even said "so it will be $55 something with taxes" and they said yeah. We come and get it the car the next day and I owe almost $400. I was over the 40,000 on my tires but we double confirmed that the warranty would cover so we would not be shocked when we owe a bill. I don't mind paying the bill but they never said anything about having to pay the full price for brand new tires. I called the day I picked it up and nothing was ever mentioned about how much I owe. I told the employee that we have already been screwed before (replaced the wrong tire a few months ago because they were not listening and put my husband's mud tires back words) and was not trying to get screwed again. Was on my way from Jacksonville FL to Columbus OH when just a few short miles from Rock Hill my dash alerted mod I was having a tire go flat and rather quickly. I tried to keep air in it but it wouldn't go above 21 pounds so I limped to this DT. Was immediately greeted with smiles from everyone inside. I needed 305's but would've had to wait till the next morning which just wasn't feasible as my rally launched at 9:30 am in Columbus. We found factory size, 285's) in stock and the crew had me in and out in about 40-45 minutes which I was super thankful for since I still had some time to drive that day. My son and I were in town from VA for a conference when I noticed the pressure in one of the tires was dropping. We found a nail in it and pulled into the store at 5:10 on a Friday evening. Love this place, I only purchase tires from Discount Tire or Costco. Since Costco is about an hour away, Discount Tire it is. Always a great experience no matter what location I've been to. Friendly, professional, and great prices. The insurance option is a great deal. They also offer a text service to let you know the status of your car. From waiting to be serviced, when it's on the bay, and when it's ready to be picked up. I don't have to sit around waiting and wondering anymore. I came in to get my tire plugged due to a nail in a tire and being completely flat. One of their salespersons took a look and stated they could not just plug it due to location of the nail, they had to fully replace the tire. Okay, I had no problems doing that. He informed me they cannot just replace one tire, they have to replace two. Again, I thought nothing wrong by what he was explaining. But then, he began to explain how "horrible" my tread was.. Mind you, my car is not even a year old. I got it brand new, meaning the tires are not even a year old. By where he told me my tread was at, I was already beginning to question it. I dont know much about cars or anything of that sort but I still knew it was a little suspicious. Anyways, he is ringing me up for the two tires but says their local distributors did not have the tires in stock and I would have to wait til Thursday/Friday for my car to be ready... It was Tuesday. Two or three days to replace 2 tires? I pay anyways because I just needed it done ASAP and assumed that was the earliest they could provide. I obviously was not happy about spending $458 on TWO tires. I look into it and end up calling again the next day after hearing no way two tires should cost $458. I am told they have tires half the price available and my car could be ready THAT day. I go after work and get my refund and my car, come to find out they refused to replace the tires til I came in for refund. Why? You have double my money right now? Anyways I get the refund and am told it will be ready by 6PM at the absolute latest. I get there at 6:30PM and am told its next in line and they were informed I would be leaving my car over night again. I had already left it overnight the previous night. I have been to a few different discount tires and had absolutely no problems at all and was never screwed out of my money. Do not recommend this location at all. read more

I have had a string of issues with this location, from losing my TPMS sensor training tool, to delays to the latest issue: I will never use Discount Tire ever again. I've spent so many hours trying to get them to fix this damage. It all started when I took the front wheels from my time attack mustang to them to swap left and right tires. The next day I come back and they had both mounted directionally as lefts. 30 minutes later they swapped the one tire but never told me so I waited almost an hour. I go to put them in my truck and see the damage. They said to leave them and a wheel shop will repair the inside scrapes and 2 outer rim dings from mounting arm hitting/scraping it. Fine, I'm out of town for a week anyway. I go to pick them up Monday after 10 days when I'm back because they said they would be ready first thing. Repair company hasn't even picked them up yet. They will be ready Tuesday. Still no call and now it's Wednesday so I stop by after work. They are good to go? Nope, only painted the inside of the wheels and they aren't balanced! Guy said he didn't think they needed to be since it's a track car. HAHA, yep, I love doing 150mph with unbalanced wheels. You have lost my tire and service business forever. read more

10/01/21 I spoke to a man named Robert and he said he would match any local price for my flat being changed. I told him a local price I had from another place, and he was honest to his word. Also he was professional and polite, and the mechanic was too. They set me a time frame, but were able to get my van in sooner which was great! Pretty good service and prices, the phone is constantly ringing and you are being asked to wait a second or two, although done politely it is irritating. They can talk quickly and confuse you. Got my tires from a different Discount Tire store I guess that's why they decided to make me wait for ever in a day just to have my tire repaired literally watched 2 people that pulled up after me get fixed and on their way before they even started on my vehicle. Tire warning low pressure light came on all I asked was to check and see why and he sees a nail yanks it out now tire lost all air so I'm stuck with no choice but to wait. Unbelievable as I sit here and write this I watch another guy pull in to have his tires checked for air and they pulled him in and started on his truck while my vehicle just sits and waits looks like the guys know him!
