We had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience at Firestone with our last dually, they put the weights on incorrectly and put the inner tires on backwards, I was there for SIX HOURS and I STILL had to take it back because they didn't do the alignment correctly and told us to just take it to a Chevrolet dealership. When I lived in another state I had to book a few days in advance. I came in 10 min early to my appointment and every single person in the store I interacted with was so kind (interacted with 2 at the desk, and two mechanics who were doing my rotation.) I was ready for them to hound me asking to add on other services but they didn't do that. They did my tire rotation in under 45 mins and made a few suggestions on how to maintain my tires and wheels. Went there to get my winter tires installed by appointment. After 1.5 hours they gave me my vehicle back with TPMS sensor light on. The guy at the bay told me to "drive 15 miles" to see if TPMS monitor will relearn and the light will turn off and emphasized that they "didn't touch the sensors". After 30+ miles of driving the light was still on. I hooked up my scanner and found out 2 out of sensors couldn't be recognized by the pressure monitor. After the a quick inspection I discovered one side of my vehicle had the different tire valve stems & caps from different vehicle, that were never programmed to work with my car. Going back tomorrow to hear that I need to replace all 4 of them, because they went bad all the sudden. Sounds like a pretty popular "mistake" to take you hard earned money for TPMS sensors & labour. Bought 4 tires for my vehicle and right away the tps came on. Took it back they admitted they didn't calibrate my sensors. So they did and ever since my tps and low air sensor come on weekly. I have only had them for about 4 months and it's exhausting to keep adding air. Their tires were not cheap either! If you're going to spend around a grand, I say go somewhere where they do the job correctly and sale quality tires. Love how they commented that doesn't sound like them. Truth about service needed is not their forte!!! I made an appointment and after waiting an hour for them to take my car back- they had it up for just a few minutes. I was told my slow leaking tire had a "nail in an area of the tire that couldn't be repaired" and so I had to purchase a new tire. Took my car to Costco who said there was no hole, but an issue with the air valve and they replaced it. Free of charge. Is it because I am a woman that they lied to me? First, I purchased and scheduled my tires online for a brand new car that came with summer tires. Being in Washington going into fall I wanted a good all season and their website was excellent in helping me find the tires I wanted. It was a real bonus that they had the tires I wanted in stock and the pricing as excellent. Now, the store experience: I went in for my appointment and the store was slammed, waited about 15 minutes to get checked in but the wonderful young lady service writer told me since I had scheduled it would be around an hour to get out. Also, had to make sure they knew I wanted to keep my summer tires since I would swap them back in late Spring, she even figured that was the case given the car as brand new (300 miles on it). I had my son ready to drive the one of my jeeps up if the tires did not fit in the car but I figured they would with the seat down, although I forgot anything to protect the fabric from the tires so that was on me in my opinion. 45 minutes later my car was ready to go, the tires were put in the car for me, each one individually wrapped in a plastic bag to protect the fabric, outstanding. I have been coming to this location for years. EVERY time I am so impressed by them. Today I was told by my car dealership that I would need 2 new tires amounting to almost 800$. I came here for a second opinion. They evaluated my tires, removed the screw (that was sitting sideways in the tread and hadn't even punctured my tire), tested for leaks, charged me nothing, and told me I did not even need new tires. I have used Discount Tire for a decade now. Have always had great service with reasonable prices. I recently moved and the shop that is nearest to me is this Discount Tire. I called Friday and made an appointment for Monday at 815. When I got here I was greeted at the tent they have set up in the parking lot where the employees do what seems to be phase one of their check in process- he was friendly and helpful. Later I was checked in by another member of the staff and payment was taken care of. My car was pulled in at 835- a bit past my appointment time but nothing crazy given they are doing their best with Covid. The work was done well and to the same bar as always. So grateful to the amazing staff at Discount Tire. I have an AWD vehicle, so when there's a problem with 1 tire, I am highly encouraged to replace all 4 which costs a pretty penny when you live somewhere with constant flat/blown tires. I was refused from 2 other car shops who wouldn't even hear me out before I decided to give Discount Tire a try. The second we walked in, they were attentive and kind. Hector understood our situation, helped us out immediately, found the tire needed for my car and said they would MATCH THE TREAD!!! I was able to walk away with a brand new tire that matches the tread on my other 3, something 2 other car shops refused to do, and it's covered under warranty so I'll get a free one if this one pops too. When we came to pickup, the place was decently busy but Jimmy helped us immediately and we were out the door in 30 seconds flat. I have never had such a pleasant experience at a car shop, especially as a female. I didn't feel dumb or taken advantage of, which is extremely refreshing. I have frequented discount tire for years, used to go to the location on pearl street when I lived in Tacoma and today I brought my car into this location for a flat tire repair since I just moved to puyallup! I was very pleased with the customer service, and the fact I got my flat tire repaired for free, however when I returned to my car I noticed I had $120 Heatwave sunglasses missing from my vehicle which was super dissatisfying. When I called the manager Jimmy, he didn't ask me any questions about the sunglasses, didn't ask me about the incident at all really and just kept repeating that he is "confident in his people" like he did not believe me. There were no steps to get my sunglasses back besides sending it to claims so I will talk to the claims people, and certainly not come back to this location as there are thieves working with no consequences.
