This place is a joke. Set up appointment in line and entered all important information: year make model, tire size needed etc. appointment was approved and set. Arrived and it was like I had never set anything up. They didn't have tires and only could sell a larger tire for more money. So after driving 1.5 hours and doing everything in advance, they weren't ready and didn't have the right tires. BullShit!!!! Got new set of tires and they lied to me saying all my lug nutts were bad when they weren't. They made me pay over 100.00 for new ones and when I got the box for the old ones I discovered they ripped me off and not only lied saying they all were bad but, they made me purchase more than what was needed. Had a vibration on my truck, stopped at a different discount tire to have them check the balance, only to find out the last shop cross threaded a lug and changed several lugs. I was not informed of any of this. Now I'm gett told I need to replace all the lug nuts. And take it to a different shop to have the cross threaded lug replaced. 10 years this trucks been in discount tire. Think it's time for a new tire shop. Service has gone way down hill. read more

Existing repeat customer, in for tire pressure tpms, they said I had a potential flat or needed to replace tire (under warrantee. Lobby and bays nowhere near full said 1.5 hr wait. We purchased these warranties to get this stuff taken care of quickly not having to wait an hour and a half. I mean is there a way for us to bill you for 1-1.5 hrs of time? No. Do better. Ok time was within, yet they broke another lug nut off. I spoke with the service manager or manager of the store who said that they're probably going to deny the claim to fix it since it's been so long. 11,000 miles in 3 years two lug nuts broken off same store, different crew, but the same store. Maybe it's time that you all check the torque on your torque wrenches. If they deny that claim being the second one I will be finding another tire store. Especially if the SM or gsm doesn't contact me in favor of a replacement at the store's expense. They broke them, fix it. Period. Stop blaming the customer or someone else. I took my vehicle in to get a flat fixed the gentleman that helped me by the name of Corbett turned out not to be such a gentleman, he was very rude when he told me they would not fix it, because it was too worn on some of the thread and then turned around and walked back inside, I had to follow him inside asking for his name several times, it was only after we got back inside that he said very rudely CORBETT. i finally got it fixed at another shop for$25.00, yet I had the full warranty at Discount. Brought in my truck for new tires (4 @ $300 ea) was told it would be 1 1/2-2 hour wait, finally got my truck back after hour 5! If you have tho opportunity to go anywhere else, Do it! I brought my wife's care here to check on a low front tire. It took about 35-40 minutes to see someone & explain to them what was going on. Once I explained to the gentleman what I was talking about, I was then placed on a waiting list. Finally I get my wife's car back an hour after putting my name on the waiting list. The service I was provided was great. The gentleman I spoke with in regard of the issue was also great. The only issue I have is the time it took to actually get my tire fixed. Close to 2 hours is not ideal for the "tire" business. They're busy, I get that. They're short staffed, I get that too. But, you also have to prepare for these types of situations. It's going to happen. Be ready for it. I will come back to Discount Tire but this time I will be dropping off the car instead of waiting at their store. That would be the ideal situation if you have to go there. Other than a few issues, I was pleased with the staff and happy to get my wife's tire fixed. I went into discount tire . with my driver rear tire going flat , practically new tires . The discount tires they're on Grandview and 42nd told me they couldn't fix it because of the positioning of the nail In the tire. So I said to the gentlemen put my spare tire on . His reply , I can't do it. Too oldold. I can't legally put it on.. so now they got me , my tire is going flat and I'm stuck in there parking lot , I have to be to work in three hours . now he's trying to sell me some new tires. I said OK let's He said it's gonna be $159. WHAT ! , I had to buy the tire . I had no choice, next , he's trying to sell me a set tires for over $1100 . I said can you sell me the matching tire I just bought from you. This way I'll have two matching on the back. He said sure for $395 . that when I said forget this place never again will I come back. And I won't. I ended up a few days later buying four new tires on eBay and saved a lot of money. Cost on eBay was $760.00 total for a set of R 245 /70- 17 s to have them all put on , including the tire I bought from discount tire mounted as my spare , at Walmart was $145. Had new tires put on and the wait is insane. Wouldn't be so bad if the kids had some adults supervision. They spend more time grab assing than they do working. One of my tires had to be aired up when I got back to Pecos because they didn't have the air set right and they cross threaded my center cap on one of my wheels as well and didn't say a word. The screw isn't even in all the way and I guess they hoped no one noticed?? No supervision at all just undisciplined and untrained kids running around playing. Worst experience thus far. DO NOT COME HERE I REPEAT! this "shop" if that's what you can even call it, did such a horrible patch job after I had a nail in there (which happens often I work near oil field) but I ALWAYS go to the one in midland. I just so happened to go to this location and they ruined my new tire, tire was perfect but unfortunately when I noticed my tire was still losing air after going to them I went back to the midland location. They told me patch job was so bad they were gonna have to put my spare on. I regret going to this Odessa location, you have been warned. Shout out to the location in midland for ending up giving me a whole brand new tire for free instead of putting my spare. But I am so disappointed, my tires were new and all weather tires, very expensive! And this location failed me, if I was about to need new tires I wouldn't be so upset but nope, these tires were less than 4 months old, brand new straight from the dealership, now I have a random tire thanks to them not even being able to do a simple patch job. Went to Discount Tire with a nail in my tire. After waiting nearly an hour, the young, cocky guy comes out there to check it out. I show him where the nail is and he immediately says "yeah, we're not gonna be able to fix that; the tread is too low. You'll need to get a new tire." I informed him that I had just gotten new tires and that they didn't even have 1,000 miles on them. He said that by law they couldn't fix it because they could get in trouble. These guys are extremely busy on a Saturday. The line was almost out the door when I got there. But true to form they do have better priced tires then pretty much any dealership you will go to. They are extremely efficient because even though the line was that long, it kept moving. To my observation there were no disgruntled customers including me. They explain everything thoroughly, listen to everything I had to say, I was in and out of there in very little time considering how busy they were. As with every discount tire, they have a poor system to attend to customers. I had a single wheel and tire to mount. At least 4 people with red shirts in the main area but only two of the four computers at work. I stood in line for 30 minutes to be told it would be two hours to mount a tire. They need to go through and ask what we are here for to get a better idea how to handle business. I knew they were busy, all I wanted to do was drop the vehicle and let them fix the tire when they could. At 9:50 I got tired of waiting because I realized there were still six people on the list ahead of me. Again, not to get the work done, only for them to look at your vehicle and get your info. And every person who came in got told the same lie, "This gets you on the list so you don't have to stand in line. Someone will be with you in 10-15 minutes". The Discount team in Odessa hit a home run. I recently ran in to tire issues on my motorhome in Van Horn Texas. I was forced to over pay for off brand front tires at a small local shop. Safely back on the road I decided to stop at the Discount in Odessa to have the four rear tires replaced. Ramon initially helped me. He got me checked in and set up with tires. While waiting I called Michelin and opened a warranty ticket. I passed this info on to Ramon. Jalen and Rafael completed the tire swap. They were very professional in everything they did. Every precaution was taken to ensure the safety of themselves as well as my vehicle. Ramon tried calling the manufacturer but unfortunately they had closed. He assured me they would handle the warranty the following day. My family and I were safely back on the road. The following day Kye with Odessa Discount called with a status update. The manufacturer was honoring a partial credit on the tires. Kye had set it up where I could in fact remove the off brand front tires and have Michelin's installed to match the rears and still receive a $200.00 dollar credit. Kye worked diligently to coordinate this from start to finish. Multiple phone calls over multiple days. You could tell he had pride in his job by the way he handled this situation. Thanks to him and the other team members I have 6 brand new tires I can depend on as well as the credit I was owed. This is why I only use discount tire. I brought my father n laws car in for a slow leak in the back left tire. It took them about an hour, which i think is completely reasonable at a busy tire shop. Every person was friendly, sometimes there's not somebody at the front desk to immediately greet you, but once they do you have their full attention. Didn't even charge me for a nail and small hole repair and he didn't buy tires there. Thank you !! read more
