This place used to be great. They have gone way downhill. 2 of 5 bays active making for long waits. 3 hrs to get a rotate and balance. There is no availability for weeks for their free services yet I can make a same day appointment to buy tires. After the crazy wait, the tire vibration was way worse than when I brought it in. The "techs", and I use the term loosely would rather play on their phones than actually do anything. I suggest you take you vehicle elsewhere for service. read more

First of all, appointments mean nothing. They just shuffle you in tge mix. I asked the guy. He was honest. Just to rosette and balance with the appointment: 1. 5 hrs! Why, "We've staffing issues." James was EXTREMELY rude to me and the Hertz rep who called the location. Only to realize that the issue was with paperwork they claimed they didn't have but then magically found after talking to a manager. No call to say hey it's taken care of. Getting ready to take a long road trip, I made an appointment online and brought my car here for a quick rotate and balance of the tires. While I had purchased one of my tires from Discount Tire a few years ago and bought their lifetime balance program at the time, the service manager pointed out that the tires on my car were actually newer than that. Uh, oops. I apparently forgot that I'd done that *and* I'd forgotten that I had bought them from Discount Tire. Not a problem. They not only still took care of balancing all four of my tires and doing an fabulous job (fixing the slight wobble I was getting at 70 mph!), THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME. I think that means that for tires, I need to stick with Discount Tire. Great stuff! Their waiting area isn't fantastic but they do have a cooler with cold water and a coffee machine. No free wifi. And that's fine. I wasn't here more than 30 minutes. read more

HOWEVER, Gian should get soft skills training as it relates to avoiding escalations. He gives me the impression that he's new to his role and trying to exhibit an Alpha Approach in front of his subordinates. His approach almost cost Discount Auto a $2000 transaction. I came here recently to purchase a set of four tires for my 2013 Nissan. The stock tires still had some mileage left on them, but with the road conditions around here this time of year, you can't be too safe. I found a set of tires I was interested in on the store's web site. So, I special ordered the tires after doing my own research and the tires were in the shop in two days (arrived on a Friday). I had made an appointment earlier for the following Monday, but since the store had called me that the tires arrived earlier, I called and changed my appointment to the same day. Well, I did like most of the world and shopped on the internets for a deal on tires. I landed on Dicount Tires because they had an amazing sale going on and I was in dire need for some tires. I try to buy local if possible and stay away from large chains but the local shop couldn't touch this deal. Anyhow, the local Discount Tires didn't have the tires that I needed (that were advertised on the web). So, to accomodate me, they upgraded my tires (from a 60k mile tire to a 75k mile tire) at no additional charge since they didn't have them in stock. (I know this sort of upgrade happens quite frequently but they didn't have to do it for me... they did it without even thinking twice about it.) I was well beyond happy with my experience there and will surely go back when I need tires for one of my Jeeps. read more

Don't buy the tire replacement insurance certificates!!!! They require you to buy another certificate when you have to replace a tire so it ends up costing you $70.00 a tire to insure each tire! That's the price of a new tire anyway! read more

I purchased a new set of tires with all the extras for road hazard etc... $1350 for the set!! The only problem I have is when you go back for service and I did have a nail puncture in my tire and it took me an hour and five minutes with an appointment to get that tire fixed only after I complained twice that it was sitting out there in the parking lot. It does not matter if you make an appointment or not, the service is terrible at the Monroe tire store!!!! The reason I purchase the tires off of the store is because I travel a lot and I figured I can get service anywhere in the United States with a discount tire. I am really looking forward to see the service improve because some of the people that were behind me on the schedule actually finished before I did and left out of there while I'm still waiting on a patch on my tire.!!! read more

I want to shoutout Daniel especially. I left my car here on Friday before 4th of July weekend and we agreed that I would pick up my car on saturday before they closed for the holiday. Unfortunately, the tire had to be ordered and instead of arriving on saturday, I had to wait till monday to have my car worked on. I was super busy monday and unable to pick up my car. Comes Tuesday and I come to get my car after a very stressful day at the hospital I work at. Come to find out there was a miscommunication and the tire was placed on the wrong wheel. He was absolutely exceptional and understood my displeasure, and got my car serviced right away with a new tire. Its great to see whenever someone is understanding and willing to adjust in a case like this. Though it would have been nice to have avoided this. Love these guys! I purchased a set of tires from Discount Tire Monroe last year and it was a great experience. Last night I ended up with a screw in my tire. I took it down to Discount Tire in Monroe and they were able to plug it free of charge since I bought my tires there. AND, had they not been able to plug it, they would have replaced the tire, free! Yes, I purchased the "repair, replace certificate" when I bought the tires, but that was only $15/tire. Best money I've spent! The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable.
