Usually, I go to Discount Tire for everything. This time, this location broke two of my hubcaps and also put a different lug on one tire after losing the original, yet never brought any of it to my attention. This was on top of a two-hour wait. A story of when things go wrong. You really find out about a company when things go wrong and recently a visit to this location put that test in play. I purchased a new to me Porsche and it needed new front tires. As always when I went in the service and price were on point. They changed my front tires quickly and sent me on my way home. When I got home I noticed the rocker panel cover (side skirt) was damaged, actually cracked with a piece of the plastic sticking out. It looked like they accidentally missed the jack point when they lifted the car. First of all I've had tires replaced here many, many, times and NEVER had any issues. They are good at what they do and very professional. Obviously it was a rare accident and frankly I can see how it was an easy mistake to make. I immediately called the store and let them know about the problem. It was near closing time so they asked me to bring it in the next morning. Since I had left and driven home I was really worried they would say they weren't responsible. I knew it happens there because I had the Porsche dealer do a pre purchase inspection the day before. They pointed out every issue the car had (including the needed tires) so I knew for sure it happend there. I went in the next morning and braced for the bad news. In this day and age it's rare for a company to own up to something like this so I expected it would be contentious. When I got there they came and looked at the damage, agreed it looked like they just put the jack in the wrong place and asked me to wait in the lobby. They photographed the damage and 5 minutes later came to me and said they filed a claim and somome from corp would reach out in the next 4 days. The next day I got the call from their claims department. They asked for more pictures, gave me a claim number, and told me to take it to the repair shop of my choice. They informed me once I had an estimate they would send me the funds to the repair. They offered a rental car and were just super nice. Discount Tire is a great company on so many levels. My experience with this company has always been positive. This time they put an explanation point on just how good they are. It was disappointing and frustrating to have my new car damaged. It's a Porsche the repair won't be inexpensive. Discount Tire did the right thing, they did it without question, and they made me feel like a valued customer through the entire process. This location in Midlothian TX provides the same great service as the others. This one will get all of my business in the future because of how professionaly they navigated a difficult situation. The people working here are the nicest. They are eager to help and they take their time to explain things. The location is right at 287 near the 14th St exit, tucked behind the QT. There is a Wendy's & Burger King next door if you want to get a shake while you wait. I had a slow leak in a rear tire and wasn't sure if I needed a repair or replace. Alex was super helpful. He met me out at my car before I even came in and took a look at the tires. He showed me where the tread was gone on the inside of a rear tire and took down info about the type and size. Once inside we went over options and explained what some of the differences were. I was reassured by his awareness of some of the ways Teslas eat up tires and I hadn't realized the OEM tires were run flats. He was patient when I said I wanted to look up the Consumer Reports ratings on my phone. After I selected the ones I wanted, they did not have them in stock, however they were in stock nearby in Waxahachie. Another employee heard the situation and volunteered to clock back in and go get them. He was out the door right away and I'd say about an hour total I was out the door with the new tires, despite my slow decision making. They even took care of the Michelin warranty refund from my previous pair that hadn't gotten the full mileage. I will definitely be returning here in the future. We had our minivan tires put on here as well and they have done all the rotations and a patch included. read more

Had an appointment. Showed up a few minutes early. Waited in line in which I was next. Not one employee acknowledged my existence and 6-7 different employees walked by. After 15-20 minutes I just left. This has never happened at the Mansfield or Cedar Hill location. Any acknowledgment would have been fine. read more

I've had my tires replaced by them on my Tesla, but when I had a puncture from what I thought was a nail, on one of my tires on my Tundra, they patched it up for me for free. Been doing business with Discount Tires for 30 years, in various locations. This one opened about 6-8 years ago and we have been buying tires for various vehicles and trailers - perhaps a set a year. Always friendly, efficient and about the best pricing available. Had to buy two new front tires yesterday and made an appointment for 4:15pm. Arrived at 4:10, left at 4:37pm. I drove in with a screw in the middle of the tread of a Nitto tire that was less than two years old and had a lot of tread life remaining. I just needed it repaired. The first employee who came to help me was friendly and quick to get the process started. While at the register a second employee quickly chimed in saying if for some reason it couldn't be fixed I would need to purchase a tire due to it being removed from the vehicle and they couldn't put it back on. I then said just put the spare on it. The spare has brand new tread on it. He said he couldn't if it was over ten years old and then scoffed saying, "well it's a twenty year old truck." At that point I was given multiple clues that they just wanted to sell me some tires except just fixing my tire. I'll take my money to a local shop and support a small business. read more

For a tire shop to be out of tires except the expensive ones seems fishy. Either the business is incapable of understanding demand or intentionally looking to increase their bottom line by only being able to offer more expensive tires and then reaming their customers on exponential more expensive repairs. I single flat tire cost my nearly $300 here for a tire that cost nearly $200. I will not be returning here for tire repair/replacement in the future. read more

Had a small nail in my tired and they notified me of this during the air inspection. Was unable to have fixed due to time constraints so brought vehicle back 2 days later. Was told this would be super quick and out of there within 30 minutes. Which was no problem however. Not only did this take an hour and a half but 4 other customers came, fixed up, and left while I sat waiting. Finally they bring my vehicle out and the gentleman that told me 30 minutes went out in the shop to avoid me knowing I was irritated with the situation. Moral of the story, don't tell customers what you cannot deliver. If he would have said it was going to take over an hour I would not have done it then. read more

I pulled in to have a tire checked in the free air check station and no one bothered to come and acknowledge my presence. After waiting 15 minutes, I opted to leave. Wow - I will definitely take my business to another location being that I have never experienced such behavior at other locations. Driving away as I watch the tech sip a quick trip drink, I am appalled. This location is a joke and has poor customer service on a Tuesday (giving them the benefit that maybe they were having an off day). In addition, I enjoy watching your workers sit and chat while your customers drive away. Don't waste your time with this location. read more

Great service as always from Discount Tire. I purchased a wheel and tire set from the Dallas location but didn't get installed as my truck wasn't lifted enough--my fault, but great staff there too. I stalled on the lift, totaled that truck, moved here, got a different truck, and here they swapped out the lug nuts for free and and installed in less then 30 min. I have been to this location about three times and I have always been treated with courtesy and respect. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The first time I came to this location was to get a quote for some BMW X5 tires. Unfortunately, the tires were not currently in stock but they arrived the very next day. When I brought the vehicle in for installation the service was amazing and I was in and out pretty quick. I also purchased the certificate for the tires which seem like a great deal for replacement.
