Stopped in this afternoon to use their free pressure and tire check service. I have a large F350 dually which can be a real pain to check. I had one that I knew kept dropping by about 10lb so I had them check it out. They found a small nail and had me in and out in no time. I have never had a bad experience at all Discount Tire and this location was amazing as expected. This is a great company and apparently their business model is working great. Always clean, very friendly, and great people to work with. I have all of my tire work done by them and they are always a great price. Highly recommend!! read more

I first need to correct the location. It was Germantown Rd where I received horrible customer service from Mike. I have had an account with this location over the years. My son because of me use this location as well. I drove up in the early am just to get air in one tire. Because I know someone usually address me in a timely manner I sat there. After 5 to 7 minutes I saw Mike . I ask him if I could get some assistance for one tire. He goes on to tell me he don't have a free tech and other customers inside had been waiting up to three hours. I told him I only needed air in one tire and after going back and forth it could have been done. I held 5 dollars out the window and this young man responded. I called the store and spoke with Nick and made him aware of the awful experience. But Will not be going back. read more

upon arrival a young man came to my truck and asked what I was needing done , he was very friendly and rolled my old dirty wheel and tire in the shop for me and priced me out a new tire. very professional staff, and the property is clean and feels safe. just on customer service and variety of tires in stock I will definitely be coming back to the discount tire on hacks cross! prices were fair and service was done promptly. read more

I read many reviews before going there - some were very positive and some very negative. I had a great experience today getting four new tires. I had a 11:45 AM appointment and was out by 12:35 PM. Service was great and the people were friendly. The tires were also $10 less than stated on their website. I will definitely recommend them. read more

Excellent Customer Service! This was my first Discount Tire Store experience but I can truly say, it won't be my last. They beat the quote from my favorite "Big Box" Store nearby and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. I can always count on Discount Tire to provide professional and efficient service. I recently had issues with nails in my tires and they squeezed me right in for the repair of at first one and a few months later, 2 more tires. They recommended I replace my entire set because even though I hadn't put a lot of miles on my then set of tires, I was told the steel belts inside of the tires can rust and cause blowouts or other issues. I waited a few months, found the tires I wanted during an online search, and someone at DT placed the order for me. Within a few days my new set was installed. read more

This DT is horrible, waited for 20 mins in the tire pressure check area just to get my tires filled with 3 employees looking at me and nothing. I got out to start filling my truck tires myself and they yelled at me saying I can't do that and they will be with me in 1 minute...10 mins later and their laughing at me and still nothing. If you like torture come here. Hey, some people do so I get it. Came in the day before service, a guy named Andy was cool and helped me out but said my car's tires weren't in and he had to get 2. No problem, so he put me in for 830 the next morning. Came in the next morning at 8:25, sat in line for 35 minutes waiting while the desk people slowly helped others and answered every phone call. Finally was helped after every walk in was put in bays they said they can't do it now but wait a few minutes. I said "hey man I had an appointment" (normally I wouldn't portrait genders on people and all but you know I was trying to look cool). On the screen it said 830 appt. a tall skinny African American guy said "well now you have a 9 o'clock appt". I said no I have an 830, he showed the screen and changed my appt to 9. And said don't be an ass about it" That's great customer service huh? I've been alive a fairly long time now and that was about as douchie response as I've gotten from a guy. This is regarding the Hack Cross location. I am not sure why there is an option to schedule an appointment when you are going to be waiting hours just to talk to the reps. The process has to be better. Also, the reps can look up from the computer and at least say, "hello, we will be right with you." And when you come at a time when they have the lady to check you in, she's so unfriendly. What happened to being welcoming? Last time, I checked without the consumers would you really have a job? read more

I blew out a tire on my way to Memphis and these guys got me hooked up with a new set of tires in about 25 minutes which is unheard of. Yes I would've like to have just replaced the one tire, but no one in Memphis have that size of tire apparently so I just went with a new set and Hunter and his team got me Rolling. read more

Andy took very great care of me. From the time he walked in he had a smile on his face. EVERYONE had their hands on something. I only got my lug nuts removed and replaced in which I was very pleased as Andy seemed to go the extra mile by doing the job himself and getting me out of there in a timely manner. He said 15-20 mins and I believe I was there for 10. While it was my first time coming, it definitely won't be my last. Talking with another lady waiting she said she's come a few times and have never waited longer than 40 minutes. EVEN ON A SATURDAY! I was amazed and clearly still am haha. read more

Came in to get a slow leak on my used Audi checked out. They found a plug that the previous owner had placed by the sidewall (big no-no). The had no exact, but similar tires available and were able to quickly get my car sorted. Very friendly staff. Would recommend to others and come here again. FYI: They only do tires. I find discount tire to be very helpful and the people are always pleasant and easy to deal with. My only complaint is that it takes them too long to check you in when you get there. I stood in line for 20 minutes before they got to me seems like there should be an express check in for people with smaller issues to deal with as opposed to the people who want to buy 4 new tires and need to learn about them. I also just sat here for 3 hours to be told that they can't patch the tire and I have to come back toMorrow for a new tire. There needs to be some sort of triage set up to look at things so that people don't sit around only to be told to come back tomorrow because they can't fix it and the tire replacement is t in stock . That being said, I will take pleasant and efficient with a wait over rude people and so I will be back tomorrow. read more

Big joke! I made an appointment to get flat tire repair. I have the flat tire about a few miles away from the store. While I was waiting, I saw horseplay in the working area. The management did nothing. The rep asked where's my car parked. We walked over to the car and he didn't really look at the tire. I was told by the rep that I needed a brand new tire. He gave me no explanation. I told him that the flat tire just happened down the street. I told no thank you. The manager came out when I trying refilled the tire. So, I could drive to a different tire store. He told the Tech not to service me. So, I drove down away from the store to change my tire to my spare tire. The jerk! I went somewhere else to get the flat tire fixed. No problem with the other tire store. The tire was repaired. Be mindful of jerks trying ripoff people for profits during inflation times. Cannot say enough about our experience at this location. We had the tires replaced on my Audi Q3 a couple months ago before a big road trip. Halfway thru we notice a bumping sound coming from one of the tires, leaving Little Rock. We call ahead at 5, 1 hr before closing and got Andy. At that point we're exactly 1 hr away and Andy says he'll wait for us. Bless him. Flash forward 45 min and traffic is getting bad. We call Andy and tell him we're not going to make it and don't want to hold him up. He says no problem, we open at 8 am. In the morning the tire is completely flat. My husband puts on the spare in the parking lot of our hotel. We get to Discount Tire just after they open. They take the car right away, patch the tire and send us on our way. They look us up in the system, and confirm the tires are from Discount Tire. We had the warranty but even if not, they say they would have patched it anyway. We were on the road within 20 min! Also we were traveling with our large breed Great Pyrenees and they allowed her in the store to wait with me. Every employee was so nice! read more

I went to have my front driver side tire looked at because it was low on air. The young boy said that I had a nail in the tire and said that it was in a bad place. So I informed him I needed a plug in the tire. He took the nail out with his blade, said it was fine, but did not plug my tire. How idiotic was that? He told me that the hole was small and that it would be ok for me to drive on. Well, baby it wasn't fine. Within 24 hours I had to refill my tire with air not one, not two, but three freakin' times. I took my tire to a shop close to my employment, and the technician said "no ma'am, he should've plugged that tire." Plus, it wasn't in a bad place. I'm rolling fine now. But honey, I will never ever, even on death bed patronize this establishment again, so help me God. I'm done boo! read more

Purchasing tires is never easy...couple that with a soggy weekday and welcome to my first and almost last experience at a Discount Tire. I called to schedule an appointment for new tires and was told my tires had needed special ordering and the price was $1,100 for the tires I was replacing. I placed the order and paid over the phone and was informed I would be contacted when the tires had been delivered. When I was contacted, I set up an appointment for a few days out since this location isn't close to me. I arrived on a soggy Wednesday after work...hungry...wet...and completely exhausted of all professionalism and patience. What a treat to know this staff was still upbeat and positive even on such a horrible afternoon. I am now being checked in and was told the tires ordered were not accurate (so you mean to tell me that after 15 minutes on the phone on a Saturday that I paid $1,100 for the WRONG tires after I repeated the information several times?) and I could feel this going left really fast. I looked the man in the eye and said I am not leaving this store without new tires on my car. He assured me that I would drive away satisfied with new tires...he did not lie! Not only did I get a better tire (actually one of the best for the tire size for the car) but I got several discounts that made the price drop drastically AND was not in there more than 1.5 hours! I floated away happy, still soaking wet and now on my way to grab some much needed food and dry clothing. I will now forever buy tires at this Discount Tire location...and I will see them in 6,000 miles for an alignment and rotation. read more

This place saved me today!!! I was about to give up on businesses with great service, fair prices, and polite people who respect their customers... I had sat waiting for more than two hours to have two new tires put on my car. I was also purchasing a spare so that I would not have to use the "donut" when the potholes attacked my car again on Memphis streets. The sales person was rude, aloof, and extremely disinterested in any of the customers. I decided to see how long the wait would be at Discount Tires. I was unaware of the store on Hacks Cross, but I had had enough of sitting at WalMart and the snail pace of the auto service. My internet wasn't working, so I called my sister and asked her to find the number for Discount Tires. I told her about the one on Germantown Parkway. (I was willing to drive out there on my donut tire rather than sit another minute in that little cubbie hole and watch the techs move like molasses.) I was told by a gentleman sitting in earshot of me that there was a Discount Tires on Hacks Cross. I asked my sister to get me the number. I called them; the response was pleasant, inviting, and 20 minutes!!!. If you come now, he said, you'll be out in no time. I immediately got up, got my keys, and told the man next to me that I was going to Discount Tires. He said that he would probably do the same. I retrieved my keys; (Of course, Tracey said that my car was next.) I waved good by to him, and left for Discount Tires on Hacks Cross. They came out to the car (yes, they) and greeted me!!! I was so shocked; I didn't know what to say. I was overwhelmed with charm, politeness, respect, and quick, great service. While they were talking to me, the young man who told me about the store on Hacks Cross was coming in!!! We talked briefly while my car was being "shod." I am in a much better mood now. I can even say my car was shod. They were done in under 30 minutes!!! This is the place I will return and will tell others about. I don't ever experience the kind of service I want to boast about, but today I have to give credit to these were young men. Please keep up the good service. My uncle wanted to do a good deed & decieded to go here to purchase me a tire...he brought me the =receipt & told me to go get the tire out on....customer service was great, however when the tire was put on I'm told the forgot to clean the glue or something off of it...my ticket total was 125 dollars with everything for that 1 tire so forgetting anything is UNACCEPTABLE ....the tire didn't seem to even be full of air....because I had heard great things I didn't look at the tire when they were done...I had 2 men look on the side of my car & asked them which tire was BRAND NEW & neither said the one that discount tire had just placed on my car 30 min prior....I honestly didn't believe is was a new tire because it looked that bad....why Or how it was done I will never know...will I ever go back?
