I received excellent service and warranties were honored and tires replaced. My cost was $40+ and in each case received $230 tires. Many, many, years ago, after doing a lot of manual price checking, several years in a row, I came to the conclusion that Discount Tire prices are a) generally pretty good, b) there are are often rebates, c) warranty support is good and d) customer support is generally good. So I started saving myself a lot of time now, and just go straight to Discount Tire. Actually DiscountTire.com, as perhaps one complaint I might of had was wait time. But now you can book appointments at the website, and I must say, it worked pretty well. Once the install process starts, you can get updates via your phone, so your are not stuck to the vinyl chairs in the waiting area, where one cannot escape the smell of.... tires! So, this is my first time to the Granbury location. We initially had our eyes on one set of tires, Michelins, that carried a rebate... But even with a rebate, they were pricey, around $800. When we mentioned this to our rep, he suggested a tire we did not see online, the Nitto Motivo. It has a better mileage rating, and cost less, about $150 a tire. We have AAA, so did not feel the need for DT's extra warranty. But if you don't have this option, I'd say the DT option is worth it. Oh, one other thing. The current tires had a bit of useable tread left, so we received a bit of a discount (~$12) on the new tires. Ever little bit helps. So it pays to get those tires rotated! Bottom line: I've received consistently good service from the few DTs I've used in the Metroplex. PS. Don't forget to make an appointment. This can save you some time. We opted to arrive early in the day. This saves time too! read more

My wife called me yesterday morning and told me her tire pressure light came on, so I told her to go to discount and get it patched as we purchased them there roughly 6 months ago. An employee there found a screw in the tire, filled the tire up and sent her on her way. I work nights and was asleep by the time this had happened and wasn't told about the screw until I got up to go to work yesterday evening. When I get home this morning the tire was completely flat, rim on the ground. My main issue with this is of course is the ignorant disregard for the safety of my wife and 2 children, who were with her when she went to discount. Had the tire blown while she was traveling or left her stranded on the side of the road both leave her and my children in a dangerous situation. Take care of your customers guys. This place was busy, nearly closing time, but as always friendly, helpful and cheap (as in, free services for various things) But this place is exceptionally clean and you can tell they're hard workers and proud of their work and care for their store. Pulled in with a tire light, left with 4 new tires. I know I know, you are thinking suckerrr but I'm reality what I didn't know is I was past due for tires. I hate to admit that car things are not my thing...Ivan keep it washed and an oil change but tires, belts, whatever, not my strong suit. I was helped by Chad who was willing to break down for me exactly what my options were, walked around and showed me tread on each tire so I knew for myself how that worked and was able to help me pick a tire that was better for me than what I had. He ensured I new the price options as well. I was able to drop it off, got texts when it was done and he even called to be sure I knew it was ready. I love when I'm asked what I want done with my things then the person asking does whatever they want anyways. BEYOND disrespectful. There's no clear leadership, probably to avoid any liability. The most recent experience was them failing to lube and seat bead correctly then making some BS excuse on how they didn't mess up. Time before that they lost my wheel lock and didn't even tell me great integrity, they seem ok loosing peoples stuff and not being responsible enough to own it. I no longer trust them near anything that my family rides in last I want is the call from my wife cause some idiot failed to tighten lug nuts. My new driver kid came home with a flat lol had to take the tire off and bring it to Discount Tire lol they fixed it and when I went to pay they said they fix plugs for free! Heck yah! Super friendly from the start and all I had to do was drop off and I got a call about 30-45 min later saying my tire was fixed. My husband has gone their before too, they accidentally did something that damaged the tire and replaced it 100% for free so that was awesome too. Their free tire pressure checks are a complete scam. This is the second time I've gone and they've tried selling me a entire new set of tires, when it wasn't necessary. The first time, I went shortly after purchasing my vehicle and my sensor was going off that my back tire was low. The worker explained to me that my tread was extremely low and since I was in a All wheel drive vehicle, I would need to buy an entire set of tires. I left without them airing up any of my tires and had another tire shop fix a small air leak in my one low tire. They also gave me a second opinion on my tread and told me they were still in great shape. Now fast forward 2 years later and i've recently bought brand new tires from a different tire shop. As soon as the weather got cold my air pressure sensors started flashing. Since my husband was busy at work and the shop I bought my tires from where at lunch, I decided to run through discount tire again for a quick air up. A totally different employee from my very first visit explained to me that my back tire had 9psi. Yes 9! I guess he thinks I dont know what a flat tire looks like lol. He gave me a whole speech on how I would need to get my tire checked out for a air leak and probably end up needing a new set. I left without them airing up any of my tires once again. I truly apologize for this long explanation, but moral of the story is I refuse to trust Discount Tire, for all they are trying to do is make a sell. There's other loyal shops willing to help you out, without all the BS. read more

I had a tire that appeared to have a slow leak. I assumed I had a nail. But the guys at DT showed me that the tire had a bubble and couldn't be fixed and the tire only has 14k miles on it. They told me that I could have blow out at any moment but they didn't have a matching tire in stock and I was driving back to the mid cities area. I still can't believe how incredible the service was at Discount Tire in Granbury! My spare was too small so they put on an old tire they had laying around because it is the same size so I could drive 1.5 hours back to our home. They even called Grapevine Discount Tire and they ordered me a matching Michelin tire. I get it installed tomorrow and they will get this loaner tire back to Granbury. Well I made it back home with no issues. I get the new tire tomorrow. Granbury didn't charge me one penny for everything they did for me todau!
